"ROOOAAAARRRRR!!!"
There was a T-Rex right on my tail. I used the last bit of energy I had into my legs as I was running for my life. Suddenly, I tripped over something but I wasn't paying attention to what it was. The only thoughts in my head were I'm gonna die!
Until I woke up.
The only reason why I wasn't half asleep like I usually am on a Sunday is because I'm not normally attacked by dinosaurs, so I flashed wide awake. The first thing I do is check my phone, but it wasn't on my nightstand like it usually was but I thought Eh, it's probably near my laptop..
I got out of bed and for some reason had trouble keeping my balance on two feet. I tried to put my arms up like an acrobat would if they were balancing on a tight rope, but that didn't work I fell on my back. When I fell, I realized that my body was purple. Not a dark kind of purple, but a light purple. Not too light though.
I got back up on my.....hooves? Something seemed strange.
There was no laptop. There was no phone. This wasn't my house and I'm screwed if the owners find me! I jumped out of bed and as I walked past the mirror I noticed something odd and unfamiliar. I got a good look at myself and realized that I'm not a human anymore.
I was one of those colorful ponies! My curly, long hair mane was black with a hot pink streak in it. I was breathing heavily and my palms hooves were sweating. The only good thing about this was that I was a unicorn!
So many questions I had. So many worries. What if I'm stuck here forever? Wont my friends know I'm missing? What if I never see my friends and family again? But I put those thoughts behind me!
I needed help real fast! I'll try to meet new ponies and see if they know anything.
So I was walking out of the house, looking for ponies that might live here, but I didn't find any. Then when I was outside, I noticed the house I got out of had a sign on it's window saying FOR RENT. I would've bought it if I actually had bits!
But enough about money, I need to find someone that can help me get out of here! Then I saw a yellow pony with a light pink mane having a picnic with a bunch of animals. Weird, right? I mean, she's eating with a bear for crying out loud! The bear might eat her one day and then who's fault would it have been?
"Hi. I was just wondering if you knew anyone th-" she looked startled. Then she started to look down. I guess she was sad or something. I wasn't sure if it was me or her that was doing something wrong. "Sorry. I'm Emerald Star, what's your name?"
"Um, my name is ......" she whispered, so I couldn't understand that last part. Why was she so quiet all the time? Did she not like me? Then again, she eats with bears, so there might be something wrong with her. So I said it slower. Same response. I got kind of mad, but not that mad that I would start a fight with her or anything. I mean, how juvenile would THAT be?
"Fine, be that way!" I said before running off. After that I walked around hoping to find someo-
"OH MY GOSH! Are you new here cause I've never seen you before! Well, if you are, hi! I'm Pinkie Pie an-" she was cut off by my hoof covering her mouth.
"OK! Um, Pinkie Pie, was it? This is going to sound completely weird, but do you know anyone that's good with magic?" I said. I figured I could find someone to help me with my new horn.
"Ooohh one of my friends is really good with magic! She can help you! She owns a library, that means she's really smart and stuff! Smarticle particles!" said Pinkie.
"Where is she?"
"Follow me and I'll show you!" she bounced instead of walking. She was really weird in so many ways, but the good kind of weird. I liked her! Then I felt worried. What would Pinkie's friends reaction be if they found out I was a human? Would she hate me? Will she send me away leaving me without my friend or fa-
"Here we are!" she said. That was fast, I thought. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!"
The library reminded me of my old tree house. My friends and I used it for the No More Homework club meetings. But I'm 16 now and too old for tree houses. Good times! I was almost about to walk right in but then Pinkie knocked on the door. A light purple (lighter than mine) pony with an indigo mane with a purple and pink streak open the door.
"Oh, hi Pinkie Pie." she said, "Who's your friend?"
Before Pinkie could explain I said "My name is Emerald Star, but you can call me Emerald for short."
"Hi Emerald. I'm Twilight Sparkle!"
"Very funny," I said while sort of chuckling, "Twilight is a movie series, silly! Now what's your real name?"
"That is my real name." she firmly said.
"Oh, sorry. Look the reason I came here is because I need your help. I'll explain once we're inside." First I walked in, then Pinkie trotted behind me. I had a feeling that me and Pinkie would be PFF's.
"Now that we're here I can tell you." I said. "I wasn't always a pony. In fact, I just started being a pony today! I woke up in a house that was for rent, I met Pinkie Pie, and now I'm here. Right now I need to learn how to use my magic so I can get back to Earth then I can get to my friends and family."
"Oh, I would be happy to hel- wait a minute, what did you just say?" Twilight asked.
Oh no.
"Emerald, did you just say you're from Earth?"
"Yes?" I had a mixture of fear and nausea in my stomach right now.
"You're from Earth? Oh my gosh! That means you're a human!" Pinkie burst out. They gasped and started to look at me like I was a ghost or something. I knew this would happen. I knew the minute they found out I was a human they would hate me. They would probably kill me!
I was so dead!
