Hearts And Dragon Scales

"Cheer up Rarity" said Spike, his cheeks had gone a rosy pink as he blushed at the look of his crush. "Oh Spike, whatever shall I do? My work needs to be 100% percent accurate, if it's not she will go mad" replied Rarity in a worried state. She paced around the room up to ten times worrying about her designs. She rummaged through her material draws and threw out a range of colors;textures and patterns. "Blimey, that is a lot of clothe" Spike said in a curious way, making him sound interested to please Rarity. "Well of course there is a lot of clothe, I'm a designer" She replied in a sarcastic tone whilst raising an eyebrow. As Rarity searches for inspiration, Spike found a Sapphire blue gemstone in his collection "Rarity! How about this color? It will coordinate well with her coat." Rarity spun round and  rushed to Spike "Oh my Spike It's perfect...Yes  I must find that color...If you don't mind please may I keep this for I can add it to the dress?" Spike stood up and looked at the precious gemstone and looked back at Rarity. Stars twinkled in her eyes he couldn't say no; he handed the gem to her and replied "Sure thing." She kissed him on his head and took the gemstone, whilst picking it up they caught each others eyes Spike undoubtedly starts blushing. Then Rarity trotted off.

As Spike returned home, he sat down and contemplated, on how to explain to Rarity he has a crush on her, "How can I tell her? Hmmm I think I'm going to sleep on this one" He muttered to himself, Twilight overheard Spike and replied "You having heart troubles again Spike?" Spike shot out of his seat with huge eyes and in a panicked tone said "No; of course not, me? Never." He blushed ever so slightly. Twilight sighed and giggled while smiling "You know Spike, love is a difficult thing to explain, but if you really want to tell her then you should, don't worry you know your secret is safe with me" Spike crossed his arms in disbelief "You understand love, phft get over yourself Twilight!" he shouted "I'm going to bed, Night" He stomped up the stairs leaving Twilight with a frown on her face she eventually went back to her studies.

When morning arrived Spike went down stairs, Twilight was sitting there reading a book about magic,like always "Umm Twilight?" He stuttered "I'm sorry about last night, I panicked "Oh Spike it's alright, you know I've been in love before so I understand what you're going through"; her eyes then shifted back down to the book. Spike sat close to Twilight with curiosity "You have? Well what should I do?" Twilight reached over to put the book down, "Well, I ran away from my feelings, I was more interested in books, but now I would of told them how I felt, you just do not know if it will be too late and miss that chance" she replied with a half smile expression on her face. Spike stood up to leave the building "Where are you off to?" Questioned Twilight. Spike turned slightly to reply to her comment " I'm going to tell her" he shut the door behind him as he left. Twilight got hold of her book again and mumbled "Good luck" and went back to reading.

Spike finally arrived at Raritys house, he knocked on the door, as it opened he saw the beauty of Rarity. Her mane was perfectly placed, her white coat glistened in the sun  and her eyes were like baby blue sapphires incrusted with a starlights glow. "Oh Spikey-Wikey please do come in would you like a tea and a ruby on the side?" She smirked with a cute side smile as she gestured him to come in. "Thanks Rarity, that would be a pleasure" as he entered he saw a dashing young stallion,

awaiting Rarity. "Hello my name is Spike please to met you sir." The stallion grinned and shaked his hand "Ah what a pleasure to meet you spike. My name is Sir Redhoof" Rarity entered the room with a salad and iced tea for Sir Redhoof and a tea and a ruby for Spike. She sat down gracefully and started to converse "So Sir Redhoof what bring's you to my humble home?" She was in a trance while looking deeply into his eyes, "Well, I'm part of the royals and Princess Celestia asked me to come here to inspect the dress" Raritys ears perked up "Your a royal, Oh pardon my rudeness, it's a pleasure to have you here and meet you on such a fine occasion. The dress is nearly done, I'm on the hunt for some beautiful gemstones to match Princess Celestias fine stature." She smiled gracefully, Spike glanced at Rarity his eyes and moved to RedHoofs, they were both glazed  over as if they were a couple....Oh no this means Spike might of already lost his chance, just like Twilight said!
