My name is Speedy Gal. I’m an alicorn who lives in Ponyville. My whole life, ponies have been making fun of me, and calling me a ‘Mary Sue’, whatever that is. I’m not really sure, but I’m positive it’s a bad thing. Now, I’m going to tell you my life story, from as far back as I can remember.
I was found as a foal on an earth pony couple’s doorstep in a basket, asleep. There was a note pinned to the pine basket that read ‘Take care of her for me.’ The couple immediately took me in as one of their own. They fed me, gave me a home, and made me feel loved. After a month, they found a name for me, ‘Speedy Gal’. They called me that because I never stopped flapping my wings. Sadly, their daughters, Hippety Hop and Bumble Bea, resented me. They hated me. They tore up my pictures, my good report cards, even the toys the couple gave me. By the time I was old enough to walk, I was always quick on my hooves. I ran, day and night, hoping to get faster. I succeeded.
By the time I was old enough to go to school; I was already flying and zooming around on my hooves and wings like a lightning bolt. When I first started, everypony in my class liked me. But then, my sisters came to my school, and filled their heads with lies. They said that I killed bunnies by stabbing them with my horn, that I’m not actually a pony, that I’m a frankenpony. All of my friends deserted me, made fun of me. I became an outcast. Eventually, I got over it. I through all my time into studying and running. I became the smartest pony in my class, and the fastest pony in my town. When I was five, the mayor of the town gave me a medal that had ‘Fastest Runner’ engraved on it. I wore it proudly, day and night, as if it defined who I was. But that was when, the bullying got worse.
Everypony not only started making fun of me because of me being an alicorn, but of my lack of a cutie mark. They started calling me a robot. I started throwing lots of the time that I would usually spend running searching for my special talent, but I was never successful. I tried kite flying, acrobatics, swimming, all of which I was good at, but none of them were my special talent. I started wearing a green dress to cover my blank flank. That got rid of one problem, but then they just made fun of me being an alicorn even more than they did before. I started wearing a hat that matched my dress to cover my horn. Then everypony started treating me like a pegasus who had a cutie mark! Everything got better. I had a feeling that my life would be fantastic in the future!
But I was wrong.
