The day that humanity's future came to an end on the planet Earth came about as a whisper. A small gust of wind that seemed harmless enough until the hurricane was unleashed and it was far too late.

The weather was perfect. At the moment as I stared up at the sky from the ruined street below and saw the gray clouds, felt the light drizzle on my face, and the cool air I felt at peace. But the moment passed and when I looked a little to the right I saw yet another patrol of pegasi flying through the air.
It was time to move again. I looked idly around the street and chose a boarded up diner as a good candidate to get some sleep in. Crossing the street was easy enough, but I took it slow and stayed in the shadows. I didn't want to take any unnecessary risks.
