This Is What Happens When I Ponify My Dreams And Post Them Online
Short Summary (WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS)
This dream is about how I had a great life, I was popular, my grades were high and I had a loving family. Then everything begins to turn on me.
Beep. Beep. Beep. It was that time again, the time nobody wants to get up at: 6:00. Beep. Beep. Beep. I grabbed a book off the floor and threw it at the alarm clock in an attempt to make my alarm clock shut up. Unfortunately, that was a useless move and it seemed that I would have to leave the warmth and comfort of my bed to turn it off. I dragged my myself out and pressed the button on the alarm clock. While putting my clock on the other side of the room got me out of my bed, I was a lazy ass so it always felt like so much effort each morning.
I grabbed my goggles and headed downstairs to get my breakfast. I was greeted by the same faces as each day, my dad, Star Catcher who was training to be a Wonderbolt and my delusional mum, Dream Catcher, who thinks she is an alicorn princess but in reality she's an ordinary pegasus who used to work at a mental hospital. My younger sister, Stardust the fashionista type, was running around like the nutcase was and Nightsong, who was a vocalist in a rock band, was still asleep because she graduated last year and didn't have to get up.
"Hey dad, how come I'm not falling through the cloud? I'm an earth pony and Nightsong is a unicorn and it just doesn't make sense!" Stardust was always the questioning type. Always needed more answers to silly little questions. It could just be the fact that seven year olds are curious but you never know.
"Because you were born from pegasi so you have the ability to walk on clouds but you don't have wings so you can't fly like us." Stardust was content with that answer and happily trotted away. It was pretty much the same as any other day. Looked like I was in for another boring day at Cloudsdale Flight Academy.
"Don't forget your lunch, Thunder! I won't be able to bring it in, I have flight training today!"
"It's in my bag!" I trotted out the door and took flight. I loved flying to school in the morning, the feel of the wind in my mane, the height, its always amazed me. I was one of the best flyers and one of the popular kids. Luckily only my closest friends knew about my mother's condition.
The familiar silver gates to the Academy came into view as I approached it. I turned down as I prepared to land. When I entered I was greeted by Storm Twirl and Cloud Dasher, my two best friends. Cloud Dasher had a hunter green coat and a silver mane. His cutie mark is two crossed feathers and his eyes are grayish-blue. He's always been a prankster and and a fast flier but he's always willing to lend a hoof. Storm Twirl was dark purple with a periwinkle mane. Her cutie mark was a crescent moon and two stars next to it and her eyes are lilac. She's the most trustworthy pony I know and is joint captain of the school flight team with me. I'm the lazier of the two of us, no matter how early I get up, she's always awake before me!
"Hey Thunderheart!" Storm Twirl was always cheerful no matter what, she got dumped the other day and walked away grinning!
"Morning Storm," I was the filly everyone was after but everypony always got rejected. I had a crush on the one pony who was so close to me that he just saw it as friendship and was blind to my feelings for him.
"'Sup Thunder," I couldn't help but smile whenever Cloud Dasher spoke, he was just so perfect in every way.
"Nothing much, you?" He thought for a minute before speaking.
"Nope, I got nothing." We walked to first class together, the one we thought was pointless and boring: The Daily Safety Warning.
"So now that we've all been reminded of all the safety precautions, we can start another great day of flying!" We all said goodbye to Coach Chase in unision and headed to options. I had picked Sonic Moves at the start of the year which was a new subject taught by Coach Dash, an ex-Wonderbolt. It was my favorite class. Only the top fliers could pick this subject as an option. Coach Dash was tough but if you were one of her favorites she would easily be the best teacher.
"Hey guys, today you're going to be attempting to find your own sonic move! As you know mine is the sonic rainboom," She flew up until we couldn't see her and then came racing down at a super sonic speed causing a large ring of spectra to explode behind her and a deafening crack. She then landed flawlessly in front of the class. A huge round of applause followed soon after. "As easy as I make it look, awesome sonic moves are extremely hard. When it feels like you're about to be torn apart limb by limb, you need to push even harder. Don't be put down if you don't get it on the first try, I expect it should take you at least 3 lessons to even make the vapor cone that you have to break."
I was excited, at last, I would finally get my own signature move! My dad would be so proud of me, maybe he'd even let me come to one of his training sessions!
"Alright, Thunderheart, you first." I leapt into the sky on command and began rising up and up and up. I looked to the side and noticed that Coach Dash was following me. "You can stop here and go down now." I nodded and began my descent. There was a purple trail starting to form behind me as I got faster and faster. I was a red and purple blur now. My wings begged for a rest and the strain on my body was unbelievable. A wispy cone was appearing around me which reassured me that I was still making progress. Then I made the mistake of looking behind me. I was suddenly thrown back as I lost my focus. I felt impact with something soft and cold that tickled my body. A worried cry was the last thing I heard as I succumbed to unconsciousness.

From here on, my dream was ponified already.
Everything is dark and quiet. I can hear faint yet familiar voices, they sound fearful. There's a long ringing noise as well. As I stare around at the darkness that stretched for miles, a white light started to fade into appearance. It filled me with warmth and joy and I wanted to go to it so desperately. When I found the strength to get up, I started to make my way over to the welcoming light. The light seemed to fade away again as I got closer. All that joy and warmth was washed away and I was left to be cold again. The dark haze seemed to lift as the world became brighter again, the ringing noise stopped and the voices became clearer. I recognize some of the voices now although my vision is blurry so I can't make out any faces.
"She's alive! H-honey, she's alive!"
"Brilliant, we can't risk losing a member of the alicorn race." That voice was definitely my mother's, only she would say I'm an alicorn.
"Go and sit down Mrs.Catcher."
"That's Princess Haze to you!"
"Honey, listen to the doctor."
I blink a few times to make my sight clearer. My dad is next to me, holding my hoof. Nightsong is asleep in the corner while Stardust is trying to wake her up.
"D-dad?"
"Yes Thunder?" He looked depressed and worried. I looked around at the other ponies facial expressions and none of them showed the same. Stardust was excited about me "waking up", she didn't really get the concept of dying. My mum looked proud although I wasn't quite sure why. Nightsong hadn't woken up yet so I'm guessing she put herself to sleep with magic as opposed to being tired.
"What happened? I remember being in Sonic Moves and attempting to find my signature move but I don't remember anything after that."
"You lost focus while trying to pull it off and you were flung back all the way down to Ponyville. You're quite lucky that Miss.Dash here was fast enough to catch you just before you hit the ground." I was suddenly aware that Coach Dash was on the other side of my bed.
"Yes, but you still took some damage when you landed on my back, albeit less than you would've if you hit the ground."
"Thanks Coach Dash."
"You can call me RD, and hey, it's no problem for the Element of Loyalty, fastest flier in all of Equestria!" She always had a big ego. I still wonder why she quit the Wonderbolts a month after she joined.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry to break this up but Thunderheart has some other visitors so you're going to have to leave so that they can come in." The doctor that was looking after me had a really dull voice. Nightsong's horn flared and she awoke. My family and Rainbow Dash filtered out of the hospital room and two familiar pegasi came in.
"Cloud Dasher, Storm Twirl!" I tried to get up to hug them but all that did was send a sharp pain through my back and send me back down.
"Doctor! I think there's something wrong!" Storm Twirl always worried over the slightest thing. All I did was try and get up, so what if I failed and fell back down?
"What is it Miss.Twirl?" He looked bored as if he knew there wouldn't be a serious issue.
"She got up to try and hug us when we came in but she winced and fell back down."
"Thunderheart, you need to stay down. The reason you felt that pain was because you landed on your back, that soreness should go away overnight. You may also feel slightly stiff when you get up tomorrow because you've been inactive for a while."
"Doctor, how long have I been out?"
"Two weeks, so you're mostly healed. You'll be allowed out tomorrow."
"Thank you."
"How's flight school been, you guys?"
"Dull without you." Aw, my friends are so sweet!
"Has anypony pulled off a sonic move yet?"
"No, but Lightning Flicker is getting close. He says he's gonna call it 'The Flicker'. How unoriginal." Cloud Dasher always hated Lightning after what he did. Telling someone's biggest secret isn't exactly the best way to treat your best friend. I managed to save Cloud Dasher's popularity by asking him to be my friend, I wasn't going to let him be shunned and hated on just for being an orphan!
"I know right! He's so full of himself too." Storm Twirl was a sparky Pegasus, always trying to make people laugh, but she was a bit of a backstabber sometimes.
"Um, Thunder, you might wanna hear the rumors that Lightning has been spreading about you..."
"Just what has he been saying?"
"That you two are going out and that you let him rut you."
"What was that, Dasher?"
"You let him rut you..." Cloud Dasher was still quiet but I heard him that time.
"THAT LYING SON OF A BITCH!" I spread my wings and leapt into the air. The pain in my back was just a distraction compared to the burning rage I felt now. I flew through the corridors of the hospital until reached the end. The receptionist was yelling at me, telling me to come back. I exited the hospital and rose up above upper Cloudsdale, then I turned and began my descent to Cloudsdale Flight Academy. My eyes were watering and my whole body was strained as I got faster and faster. Wispy vapor began to collect in a cone around me and I immediately realised what was happening. I pushed harder, I was not about to fail again, there was nobody here to save me this time. A deafening crack sounded and all the pressure on my body was released. I looked behind and saw a heart shaped ring of light glowing a fiery red. There was a purple trail following me as I neared the soft cloud floor of the academy.
Several ponies came rushing up to me as I swiftly landed but I ignored them and kept walking. After a few minutes, I found my target.
"YOU!" Lightning Flicker looked nervous and I couldn't blame him. I'd be nervous if a raging pony that had just pulled of a sonic move was approaching me.
"Uh...hi?"
"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT! I HATE YOU, WHY WOULD I DO IT WITH A PONY I DESPISE?!"
"I swear, I didn't say anything of the sort! I don't know who told you I said that but they can't be a very reliable source!" One of Lightning's stupid friends walked up to him.
"Wait, so she didn't let you?"
"Aha! So not only did you spread that rumor, you lied to me as well!" Satisfied that I'd dealt with him, I turned and walked away. I looked back to see his reaction and saw that he was staring at my ass, his wings spread out. I laughed and flew off.
