Hiding a rainbow
End Of The Lies
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"R-R-Rainbow. Rainbow, are you here?"
Silence.
"Dashie, sweetheart."
Silence.
"Oh, mother of Celestia, please be okay."
Soarin walked around the darkened house. Looking for his love one.
"Hello Soarin."
"Who's there?" Soarin whipped his head round.
Standing in front of him was, Solar Blare, or 'Solo', but instead of having his hair dyed, it was it's original colours. But Soarin couldn't tell.
"Solo! Do you know where Rainbow is?"
"I wouldn't know where the pathetic mare would be. Nor would I like to." Solo sniggered.
Soarin's blood boiled.
"Don't you dare call her pathetic! Get out!"
"Oh Soarin, there is no need to be like that."
"I said get out."
"I mean you could have saved her. You could have protected her."
"Huh? But I was at practise."
"So your job is more important than your lover."
"No! Never!"
"So where were you when she came out of hospital?"
"I went to get something."
"Hmmm. Do you really love her?"
"What's with all the questions?"
"Just answer the question."
"Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?"
"Then why did you let me into your home?"
"What?!" Soarin was confused.
A streak of light glimmered.
Soarin instantly knew what it was, and ran towards the window.
Solar lept up and pushed Soarin over.
As he fell, Soarin bashed his head against the table.
Solar walked closer to the fallen stallion with a menacing smile.
"W-w-what are you doing?" He croaked.
The ribbon of light came closer, till it right up to his chest.
"But, you're our friend."
"I'm no-pony's friend. I'm just Rainbow's uncle." He laughed. "And I hate the putrid brat! She deserves to die!"
Soarin tried to get up, but Solar stepped on his wing. And pressed down hard.
"Aaahh."
"I had the chance to kill her the other night, but...I had other plans. If you know what I mean."
Soarin's eyes widened.
"You?! You monster!"
"HAHAHA!" Solar plunged the knife into Soarin's stomach.
"AAaaaahhh!"
He stepped harder onto Soarin's wings.
A quiet crunch made Soarin whimper in pain.
"Why?"
"If I hurt you, I hurt Rainbow!"
Solar shoved the knife into Soarin's right fore-leg.
"If anypony askes, it was an accident. I am still Solo. You understand?"
Soarin didn't reply.
"Well then, I guess Rainbow is next."
"No! Please don't hurt her! I won't tell anypony! I promise!"
"Okay then." Solar flared out his wings and flew out.
BANG. BANG. BANG.
"Errr, Twilight, do you want me to get the door?" Rainbow called.
"Thanks Rainbow. That would be helpful!"
Rainbow got up and trotted to the door.
"Umm, hello?"
"Rainbow! Ya've got ta go ta tha hospital! Now!" Applebloom yelled.
"Yeah! Applejack and Rarity sent us." Sweetie Belle said.
"What?! Why?" Twilight walked over.
"It's about Soarin."
"Oh no! Nonono!"
"Rainbow go now. I'll be right behind."
"Thank you Twilight, thank you girls!" Rainbow flew out.
"Okay Mr. Soarin. You should be able to walk but unfortunately, you can't fly for at least two months." A brown unicorn pony in a white jacket said. "Oh, and also, try to avoid to much action. Rest and relax until you have completely healed."
"Thank you Doctor."
The unicorn walked out.
No sooner had Soarin sat down, somepony burst through the door.
"Soarin!"
"Rainbow!"
They both fell into each others fore-legs.
"Soarin baby, what happened?"
"Errmm..I..ummm.."
Rainbow instantly knew.
"It was him, wasn't it?"
Soarin slowly nodded.
"Oh Soarin. I'm so sorry." Rainbow hugged Soarin tighter.
Five other mares entered the room.
"It should have been me. Not you."
"Good morning Soarin. Are you okay?" Twilight asked.
"Achey, but I'm fine."
"Listen Soarin, I don't want this to happen to you again. Neither do I want it to happen to the girls. He's after me and me only."
"Rainbow wha are ya sayin?" Applejack trotted closer.
"I'm so so sorry. I have to go. I have to leave."
"What?"
"No Dashie!" Pinkie wailed.
"It's the only way to keep you all safe."
"But-but Rainbow.." Soarin stuttered. "I-I thought we would be together. Forever."
"We will. But I can't handle the guilt of my little sister's death. And now this has happened, I just know that the girls will be next."
"But I don't understand. Why are you leaving?" Futtershy asked.
"I'm sorry girls. I didn't want this to happen." Rainbow slowly trotted out of the room.
"She's going...she really is going..."
"Soarin, are you okay?"
"Why does she have to go? She can't leave me."
"Soarin."
As Rainbow had left the hospital, Twilight the others took Soarin to the library.
But he wasn't coping with the news.
Twilight walked over to the others, leaving Soarin to mutter to himself in the corner.
"He's not coping."
"Ya think!"
"Listen, biting each others heads off is not going to help."
"I know Rarity, but can we do?"
"I know a p-"
"Party is not going to work."
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
"Oh hello Twilight, is Soarin here?"
"Yes Solo, but he's..umm..."
"I heard about the accident and about Rainbow. The poor dears."
"We know. We don't know what to do."
"Leave it to me." Solo said with a sly grin.
"She can't go..I don't want her to go.."
"Hello Soarin."
"Eep!" Soarin jumped up as soon as he recognised the voice.
"Hey, calm down." Solo lowered his voice. "We don't a certain somepony getting hurt again, do we?"
Soarin shook his head.
"Now then..."
The girls watched from a distance as Solo talked to Soarin.
"Twilight?" Rarity said in a concerning tone.
"What?"
"I know that face."
"What face? For all I know, I've only got one face."
"Yes, but I can tell when you are thinking hard. So?"
"The way Soarin reacted to Solo."
"He's upset. Surely that's why he was so jumpy."
"No, there is something deeper. Far deeper."
"I wouldn't know where the pathetic mare would be. Nor would I like to."
"Soarin."
"I hate the putrid brat! She deserves to die!"
"Soarin!"
"It should have been me. Not you."
"Soarin!"
"We don't a certain somepony getting hurt again, do we?"
"SOARIN!"
"AAhhh!" Soarin shot up.
He lay on the spare bed in Twilight's room.
"Huh? Wha?"
He was also surrounded by five mares.
"How did I.."
"I brought you up here. You were asleep, so I leviated you up." Twilight smiled.
"Soarin, dear, are you okay? You were yelling alot and crying."
He didn't answer.
"Is everything okay?"
Still no answer.
"Why were you yelling horrible things?"
Soarin took a deep breath.
"Girls, there is something I have to tell you."
"Yes."
"It's about Solo."
"Uh-huh."
"He is...Rainbow's uncle."
"What?!"
"That charming gentle-pony?!" Rarity said.
"Yes. He is...Solar Blare. He was the one who raped Rainbow and attacked me."
The others were speechless.
"And the reason Rainbow was in the hospital longer than usual is because...well...she's pregnant."
"What?"
"Say again."
"She's pregnant?" Applejack repeated dumbstruck. "Since when?"
"Since last month. She was throwing up every morning. So I took her to see the doctor. He then said she was pregnant."
"Well, that explains why she was throwing up this morning. Spike got up to see what was up."
"Why didn't you tell us sooner?"
"We were. Tomorrow at the Pet Play Day." Soarin's eyes lit up. "Where is Rainbow? Has she gone yet?"
"Actually, that's why we were waking you up. Fluttershy went up to your house to see if Rainbow was there."
"And?"
"I found her saddle bags, but they were all over the floor. Also a lot of things were on the floor smashed." Fluttershy said worried for her closest friend.
"And now ya jast said about Solo bein her uncle, tha changes everythin!"
"Where would he take her?"
"I don't know. But standing here won't help anypony. Fluttershy, can please fly up and see if you can find Rainbow from above?"
"Umm...yes. Of course I will." Fluttershy stamped her hoof.
"Twilight and Rarity. Ask anypony and everypony if they have seen her."
"Okay."
"AJ, Pinkie. Come with me. We will follow Fluttershy. And I know that Pinkie's pinkie sense will also help."
"Don' worry Soarin. Ah'm sure we will find her." Applejack comforted him as they walked out of the library.
