Ditsy or better known as Derpy has always lived a happy life with the Doctor, they had their ups and downs. It seemed that nothing could change that happiness. They had happiness at the tip of their hoofs nothing could change that, and nothing did.
Not until Derpy told the Doctor the good news, as she likes to call it, Derpy was pregnant and the father was the Doctor. Now having foals was never in the Doctors plans in life but he was loyal. He decided to stay and raise the little foal with Derpy and give up his life of adventure for a plain life of fatherhood. So he and Derpy had planned out all the things and procedures that would allow a healthy birth. Through night and day the Doctor had tended to Derpys every need to the day her water broke.
When Derpy went into labor she had given birth to her daughter. Oh how Derpy was happy she was in tears with joy that she had at last done something right in her whole life but the Doctor had a different emotion on him, he wasn't happy or proud of Derpys achievement on successfully giving birth to their new foal. The Doctor's emotions where blank he was just a husk that stood in front of Derpy and the foal. The only words that came out was the one word he hadden't said in a long time.
"FANTASTIC!!" said the doctor with a grin growing wider and wider he couldnt hold his blank expression any more he was happy that in front of him was a piece of him that he and Derpy made. The Doctor quickly started poking the newborn and talking to the foal.
"Hello their little fella Im your dad" said the Doctor while he poked the newborn Derpy quickly smacked the doctors hoof away from the foal.
"DON'T TOUCH HER!" said Derpy out of nowhere. The Doctor only thought that Derpy was still under the effects of the medication they gave her. He quickly shrugged it off and went to the doctor to sign the paper work and every thing, when It came to a naming his daughter he was thinking of names that seemed right for the newborn.
"Derpy how does the nam...."
"She is going to be called Dinky." interrupted Derpy as she was cuddling the newborn as the Doctor was in the middle of a sentence.
"Shouldn't we think this through Dear? This is the only time and place to name are one and only daughter." asked the Doctor untill he realized that Derpy was already off the hospital bed and putting the name she chose before the Doctor could say anything.
When Derpy and the Doctor left the hospital with their newborn it was raining. Since the Doctor doesn't know how to operate the new horseless drawn carriages made by the Flim Flam Bro's. They had to walk to their home Derpy was quite upset with the Doctor and pestered him why he didn't know how to drive and how he was going to get the foal sick. The Doctor just ignored Derpy while he was walking he was just so happy that he was a father now. No amount of harshfull words that were lashed at him could have made the Doctor change his attitude.
When the Doctor and Derpy got home they both took a quick shower and went straight to bed they were both tired from walking, both have forgotten how far they lived from the hospital and how tiresome it was to walk from their home to the central part of ponyville. They both layed in bed dozing off to sleep when they were both suddenly awoken by the screams and Wales from the newborn.
"Oh for the love of Celestia make it stop" said Derpy as she rolled off bed and landing on the floor. The Doctor had a more calm tone to the crying, he just got out of bed and went to the babys bed that the hospital was so generous to give. He just rocked the babys craddle a few times making the foal fall fast asleep.
After living with Dinky for about a year now both Derpy and the Doctor were happy with their baby, Derpy was no longer her bubbly self that she was when she was not a mother, she was now a more stressful pony who was a bit jumpy when others came up to her. She acted weird around her friends and seemed to cry when she looked at Dinky. When the Doctor came close to Dinky Derpy would quickly take her away from him. He didn't know why Derpy would do that but most of the time he dosn't know why Derpy does half the things she does, but not letting him be with his daughter made him mad he wanted to know why Derpy was acting so weird around everything Derpy quickly tried to change the subject but she has been avoiding the Doctors questions for to long.
"Derpy why have been acting so strange lately? Is their something wrong just tell me I sure I could understand if you just told me. I am the Docter you know" said the Docter as he winked at her like in the old days sounding as nice as possible.
"Me acting strange... I'm not acting strange.. am I acting strange Dinky well am I? Am I?!" said derby as she started to violently shake her one year old foal.
"DERPY WHAT ARE YOU DOING? STOP THAT YOUR GOING TO HURT DINKY!" said the doctor now fearful of what had happened to his once happy lover. Why was she acting so strange all of a sudden? Why was the pony he fell in love with acting in this certain matter? All these questions were passing through the good Doctors mind. All he knew was that he had to get Dinky away from Derpy as quickly as possible.
After a few minutes of trying to calm Derpy and getting Dinky in safe hoofs. Derpy just snapped she started to laugh, cry, yell, and grone she has completely lost her mind. The Doctor couldn't keep calm anymore he just got in front of Derpy and took Dinky away from her.
"NOW LOOK DERPY YOU ARE GOING TO STOP THIS MADNESS AND LEAVE OUR DAUGHTER ALONE YOU COULD KILL HER" Yelled the Doctor he was quite furious with the way Derpy was acting. he was ready to yell at Derpy again before he heard her speak. Her speech was low and barely noticeable.
"What was that Derpy I couldnt quite hear you?" said the confused Doctor.
"She is not your daughter"
"What Derpy I can't seem to hear you quite right" said the Doctor checking his ears in case he had anything blocking his ear holes.
"she is not your daughter"
"Really Derpy what are you saying you seem like you lost your voice" said the Doctor now just messing with his wife knowing that when Derpy is quiet she dosn't shake Dinky around and yell at him.
"I SAID SHE IS NOT YOUR DAUGHTER!" said the now weeping Derpy as she looks at the ground.
"what do you mean?" Said the Docter a bit shocked
"Oh don't play dumb Doctor you heard what I said. Dinky is not your daughter, I'm sorry but she... she is some one else's. I didn't want to hurt you and I didn't want to make you cry but I had to tell you sooner or later so now I'm cleaning out the skeletons in my closet" said Derpy with now a hint of happiness that she got rid of having to lie to her husband.
"You.. you cheated on me and you didn't even tell me. Let alone you got pregnant with another colts baby and decided to make me take care of your mistake no Derpy not any more I am sick and tired of you. You think you could just mess with my heart your just like every other race who wants to be with me the Humans, Voord, Morok and Aridian its just so simple to lie and cheat to get what you want isn't it derpy well isn't it?
"I'm sorry Doctor its just that.."
"No Derpy everybody only gets one I'm leaving you." said the now crying Doctor. He was hurt the pain he felt was far greater than any pain he felt in his life it was the pain of a thousand suns collapsing in his heart he had to leave Derpy but not with out his daughter "and I'm taking Dinky with me. your to unfit to take care of a baby and you know it DITSY"
Derpy was stunned with the last remark the Doctor said the only time the Doctor called her her real name was when he first arrived to equestria. He always called her Dits or Ditsy when they met but when they started to get closer he started calling her Derpy just like everypony else it was her nick name that everypony gave her and the Doctor was using it too.
"PLEASE DOCTOR PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME! I COULD CHANGE I'M SURE I CAN I WILL NEVEREVEREVER CHEAT ON YOU AGAIN I PINKIE PROMISE" said Derpy in sobs.
"Its not that simple Ditsy you can't just go around and break a ponys heart and expect to be forgiven so easily what do you think this is? Some kind of cartoon where everything gets all happy in the end because someone said they are sorry. Well Ditsy it’s not. I'm going.", said the Doctor packing his and Dinkys stuff in a satchel. As he was getting ready to leave Derpy or Ditsy which the Doctor was calling her was just sobbing uncontrollably.
When the Doctor was done packing he just looked at Derpy and sighed. "Sorry Disty but you ruined everything. Why couldn't you have just told me earlier? I don't care that Dinky is not my real daughter, I still love her with all my heart. It's just that you, the one pony I trust in this whole world filled with pastel colored ponies, lied to me and broke my trust. I can never forgive you for what you did.", and with that he was off walking out the door with his daughter in a stroller.
"Please Doctor don't leave me now. Don't say it's the end of our world. I still love you. Remember when I stuck by your side when you were sick. I sent you flowers.", said Derpy trying to convince the Doctor but to no avail. "How could you go now with this going on? You know I need you in this moment more than any other moment in our lives. How can you treat me this way? Why are you running away from your problems? Why now?”
"Ditsy, no matter what you say I am not going to change my mind. Now good day to you. Goodbye.", with those final words he left. The Doctor was gone from Derpy’s life because of one mistake that Derpy made.
After a few months of sulking Derpy started to think that maybe she could live life, her life, again but every time she tried she would always break down and cry. One day she was in the market when she heard his voice. It was distant at first but was quickly getting closer. Derpy quickly hid behind a dumpster. What she saw struck her as unbelievable. What she saw was the Doctor laughing and running with some other mare with Dinky on the Doctor’s back. She couldn't believe that within a few months the Doctor had already replaced her with some second hand harlot. Derpy decided to follow them. Derpy found out where they lived and what they did. What seemed to amaze her was how big her Dinky was growing. When there were no adults checking on Dinky, Derpy would come close and embrace Dinky in her hooves. At first Dinky was scared but soon calmed down knowing deep inside of her that the mare that was holding her was her mother. Derpy would sneak into the Doctor’s new home at night just to be with Dinky for a few minutes. Dinky enjoyed this time with her mother.
Everything was going fine for Derpy now. She was no longer a sad heap of flesh. She was now her old bubbly self. Ever since the new industrial revolution hit Ponyville and the invention of the interwebs there was no longer a need for a mailpony so she had to become a delivery pony. She had to learn how to drive and how to make sure to be safe in vehicles. Derpy would always pass by the Doctor’s home multiple times just to see if she could see her beloved daughter. When Derpy saw her daughter she would always make sure she was alone and nobody was watching her. She would get out of the cart and quickly hug Dinky and tell her the news and everything in between.
This wasn't the life Derpy expected to have but she made do with what she had. All until one of the Doctor’s neighbors told him that a grey Pegasus has been around with his daughter. This angered the Doctor and his new lover. They sent letters to Derpy’s home telling her that if they ever see her around their daughter they will not hesitate to call the police. This saddened Derpy because she couldn't see her daughter anymore. She started contemplating foalnapping her daughter and taking her far away from the Doctor. Derpy was not sure if she wanted to be happy again. She had to have Dinky back no matter the cost. She couldn't let her only flesh and blood forget who her real mother is. She couldn't just leave Dinky with the Doctor and his lover. She already had her own foal she didn't need another. With that Derpy made her decision. Derpy decided that day was the day she gets back her life.
"HONEY, I'M HOME.", said the Doctor as he entered his home. Ever since the Doctor left Derpy, he had to find a job to support him and Dinky. He couldn't use his T.A.R.D.I.S to create any money so he decided to settle down. He didn't like the idea of having to settle down but if it meant taking care of his daughter then he sure as hell was going to do everything in his power to let his kin live a normal life.
"HONEY WHERE ARE YOU?" said the Doctor as he lay all his work materials on the floor and on the couch.
"Ok BerryPunch this isn't funny. Come out and stop playing around. I'm tired and not in the mood to be messed with now. Please come out.", said the Doctor as he was now a bit worried. BerryPunch never stayed this quiet. She was usually doing something around the house or helping Dinky or her own daughter Ruby Pinch.
The Doctor decided to go look for them and started with the kitchen. It was the Doctor’s turn to be shocked at what he saw. What he saw lying on the tile floor was the deceased body of Ruby Pinch and her decapitated mother. It horrified the Doctor leaving him stunned. "Wha..wha.what happened? Who did this?!", screamed the Doctor as he fell on his knees crying for what he just witnessed.
"Do you like what I did Doctor? Isn’t it just so perfect?" whispered a mysterious voice from within the shadows of the house. "Who’s there? Show yourself so I could beat you with your own hooves.", yelled out the Doctor. "Well well well Doctor. As you could see I killed them without any hiccups, well at least not with Berry Punch but its ok now. Come closer." The Doctor then noticed that the voice was coming from Dinky's room. The Doctor gulped and started to walk slowly to Dinky’s room. He then heard the voice again but now he could identify whose voice it was. He didn't want to know but he knew. It was Derpy. She was standing over Dinky while she was sleeping, talking to her.
"Aww look at mommy's baby girl.", said Derpy as she was rubbing Dinky’s hair. "Look at mommy's little sleepyhead it seems like only yesterday I changed your diaper, wiped you, and powdered you but now just look at you. You're getting so big I can't even believe it now. You’re two. Oh Dinky. Mommy's so proud of you.", as Derpy said those last words the Doctor tripped after leaning too closely straining to hear what Derpy was saying. "MOVE AGAIN DOCTOR AND I SWEAR TO CELESTIA THAT I WILL KILL YOU SLOWLY!!", yelled Derpy as she covered Ditsy's ears so that she wouldn't wake up. The Doctor just stayed quiet
"okay"
"Don't make me wake Dinky so she could watch what I'm going to do with you.", said Derpy as she was walking closer and closer to the Doctor holding a knife dripping with blood. The Doctor tried to stand up and run away but Derpy grabbed the Doctor. He never realized how strong Derpy was.
"D..D...Ditsy, why are you doing this? Why did you kill Berry Punch and Ruby Pinch? What were you thinking?", said the Doctor shakily. He was never this scared before, he has been against; weeping angels, Daleks, even The Silence, but he has never been this scared. He couldn't even believe the fact that Derpy has done these horrible acts. How couldn't believe it he didn't want to believe it. It was Derpy for Pete’s sake, his first pony assistant. He was looking at the mare he once loved and had adventures with, the mare he married and decided to spend his life with, but then he remembered why he had left Derpy. Outside of her cute bubbly exterior she was a depressed mess when she was home with him. She would yell at him for no reason and beat him. After looking back at how his old wife abused him he just gulped and shakily looked at Derpy.
"Why?", said the Doctor in a weeping tone.
"Why?...Why?!", Derpy lifts up her hoof lifting the head of Berry Punch. "This is why!", she said as she pointed to the head. "How could you just leave me and love her out of the blue? Oh, what's the matter Doctor? Is this too much for you? Did you just think you could leave me in the dump, go to the nearest tramp you see, and forget about me?! Well too bad Doctor, you're going to finally hear me out.", said Derpy as she dropped Berry’s head and started to poke the Doctor on the chest. The Doctor noticed that Derpy’s face was tear stained. "Okay Doctor at first, I was like alright Derpy you messed up, but maybe you could make things right and be happy again. Well that's not what happend Doctor. After I saw you with that...that whore it was all over. I could understand that you could forget about me but in a few months? Really Doctor? Really? You could have been with any mare but not her. She has taken my place. She was my replacement? Are you out of your mind? This couch, this TV, this whole house should be mine! How could you sleep with her in OUR bed? Well Doctor, Look at your wife now!”
"No", said the Doctor closing his eyes as Derpy was pushing Berry’s decapitated head on him’ "What did you just say? Are you trying to make me mad?", said Derpy as she was smashing Berry’s face onto the Doctors face. "I...said...look at her! She ain't so hot now is she? Little slut."
"Why are you doing this? You would never kill anypony Ditsy. That's not like you. You are the kindest pony I know."
"Shut the fuck up Doctor. Just shut the fuck up!", with the last word Derpy said the Doctor could detect the scent of alcohol in her breath.
"Ditsy you're drunk! You're never going to get away with this!", said the Doctor as he was now yelling.
"Do you think I give a fuck, Doctor? You took my life away! So come on we're going for a ride Doctor.", said Derpy as she was pushing the Doctor to her mail cart
" Are you out of your mind Ditsy? What if Dinky wakes up? We can't just leave her here by herself."
"Don't worry Doc we will be right back. Well...actually maybe just me. You will be laying in the back", she said with a sickly smile.
"You really fucked me over Doctor. I never knew me cheating on you would come back to haunt me, but you could have forgiven me Doctor. You could have made things all better. I was only acting stupid when I got pregnant with Dinky. That was years ago. I thought we could just laugh this over a cup of tea and muffins when I told you but you ruined everything. But no you had to leave and be with another pony. That's fucked up Doctor and you know it.", said Derpy as she started the cart and began driving.
"But I love you Dits...I mean Derpy", whimpered the Doctor, trying to get Derpy on her good side.
"You are a tad bit too late Doctor.", said Derpy with a smirk. The Doctor just decided to turn the radio on so that Derpy would lighten up a bit.
“Goodbye to you, my trusted friend.
We've known each other since we're nine or ten.
Together we climbed hills or trees.
Learned of love and ABC's,
skinned our hearts and skinned our knees.
Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die...”,
Derpy growing angry turned the radio off. "Do you think this is some kind of joke. There is a mare and a filly in your house with a slit throats. What do you think? I'm kidding you? You saw the bodies in the kitchen. Hahahaha! You loved her didn't you? I know you loved her more than you ever loved me!"
"No. I didn't Derpy. I never did. Just try to be reasonable dear."
"Bullshit, Doctor. Don't fucking lie to me.", said Derpy as she was pushed by another driver. It was Scootaloo. She had the same look that Derpy had. Maybe she had something going on with her as well thought Derpy but she didn't care at the moment.
Derpy just looked out the window of the cart and yelled to Scootaloo "What the fuck is this bitch's problem on the side of me? Fuck you, asshole. Hope you fall over the bridge."
"Doctor..DOCTOR! Why don't you love me any more? Is it because I'm ugly? Is it because of my eye?"
"No Derpy it’s not that"
"No you think I'm ugly. I just know it. Get the fuck away from me. Don't touch me. I HATE YOU DOCTOR! I HATE YOU! I SWEAR TO CELESTIA I HATE YOU! OH MY GOD! I LOVE YOU! How could you do this to me? Your assistant. How could you do this to me? Why? Why!?
After driving for a long time Derpy reached her destination. The middle of the everfree forest. "Well we're here Doctor. Get out."
"No I won't Derpy. I won't."
"I SAID GET OUT YOU WORTHLESS PILE OF MANURE", yelled Derpy as she began to sob again.
"Please Derpy don't do this. Look, we could just get Dinky and we could leave Ponyville and start a new life. What do you think?", said the Doctor as he was trembling and hoping that Derpy would say yes to his idea.
"Well let me think...There. Thought about it and still no. You ruined our happy life. You. Not me, YOU!"
"Hey...haha. Do you remember when we went to one of Pinkie’s parties and Berry Punch got drunk and vomited all over the food? That was funny wasn't it?"
"Yes"
"WELL, WASN’T IT DOCTOR?"
"YES!", said the Doctor in tears
"Good now it all makes sense doesn't it Doctor?"
"What makes sense?", said the Doctor confused.
"It’s quite an ingenious plan actually. You and your wife have a fight. One of you tries to grab a knife and during the struggle she accidentally gets her throat sliced.", said the crazy pony. "...and while this is going on her daughter just woke up and she just walks in. You panic and the little filly gets her throat cut."
"You are never going to get away with this Derpy the police will find out and find all the clues", said the Doctor trying to gain some courage by standing up to the homicidal pony.
Derpy just ignored what the Doctor had to say and kept to talking. "So now both ponies are dead and you slash your own throat. So now it's a double homicide and suicide no one will think any different its the perfect plan." said Derpy smiling.
The Doctor couldn't take it anymore. When Derpy was going to start another rant the Doctor just ran and screamed for help. He tried to run as far away from Derpy as possible and get help from anypony that could but Derpy noticed the Doctor’s absence fairly quickly.
"HEY! Where you going Doctor? Get back here!", said Derpy as she flew up and started to fly in the Doctor’s direction.
"You can't run from me Doctor. You,of all ponies, should know that flying is much faster than running. It's just us Doc, nobody else! You're only making this harder on yourself. There is no reason to scream. Look, I'll help. AHHH SOMEPONY HELP! See Doctor it's just us.", crooned Derpy as she was getting closer and closer to the Doctor. "Ha! Got you! Now Doctor, how did that nice little song that alien sang to you before almost killing you go....? Oh I remember." (Derpy coughs to clear her throat)
Tick tock goes the clock,
And all the years they fly.
Tick tock and all too soon,
You and I must die.
Tick tock goes the clock,
We laughed at fate and mourned her.
Tick tock goes the clock,
Even for the Doctor.
"Derpy please don't kill me.”, said the Doctor as he was weeping heavily wiping his nose. "I don't want to die. Please Derpy. Please."
"Doctor, shut the fuck up and get what's coming to you. You were supposed to love me Doctor. Just me. Nopony else. Just me!", said Derpy as she pounced on top of the Doctor and proceeded to choke him.
After a few minutes Derpy had done the evil deed. She had killed the pony that made her the way she was. She thought she would feel happier but she wasn't. She just sat in front of the Doctor's lifeless corpse. She then began to cry.
"Why did it have to end like this Doctor? Why?"
"Doctor...", said Derpy as she stood up and grabbed the body and dragged it into the trunk of her cart. "I just don't know what went wrong.", with those last words she started up the cart and drove home to be with her daughter.
