Chapters The Equestrian Apocalypse
I have made this journal for survivors who may find this if... When, I die. It will include my encounters, types of zombies I encunter, and more. If you have found this, then I am dead, I do hope that, in my passing, that this will help you.
Journal Entry 1:Day 1
January 1st, Sunday
"I just barely through the rubble, hoping not to be seen by those...Beasts ... As I called them. I was one of the few survivors of THE APOCALYPSE . I'm not sure how it happened. I was at Fluttershy's, bringing a sick rabbit laying n the Everfree she recognized as "Angel". I was feeding the animals for the distressed butter Pegasus when I heard a loud shriek, a blood curdling screech, and things falling. I ran in to see the rabbit, skin dropping off of it's bones, approaching the timid pony, who was curled in the corner crying.
"Please, don't hurt me..." she was saying, looking in fear at the monster rabbit. I looked for a weapon and found none. I then remembered my wings. I was born with useless wings, so my parents made me artificial wings that are controlled by the fire gems you see on my arms *If you found my body with this, then you may take both of the items, for they are no use to a dead pony. They have the power to make shields, become blades, and heal yourself, it CANNOT heal the infected. You must have both the gems AND the wings for each to work. Every time you use them it will cause excruciating pain.*
I let the blades pierce the bunny into small chunks, a gut wrenching site. Fluttershy wasn't able to keep her lunch down and ended up vomiting between sobs. I helped her up and tried to calm her down.
"It's okay, everything's going to be ok..." I said, hardly helping her relax but enough to end her sniffling. While I cleaned the mess I missed the smallest drop of blood, which found it's way into the Ponyville water pipes.
The Equestrian Apocalypse
I closed my journal and walked into The Carousel Boutique . I suddenly felt like going into depression when I saw three ripped up filly's, obliviously the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I shed a tear when I saw, on a paper, their list of cutie mark ideas. The last one was wrote in in bright pink, the only color I saw in days, it read "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS ZOMBIE LARPERS!!! . They thought it was pretend... I shook the thought out of my head and grabbed what I was looking for.
I led a path of fire gems from Rairty's boutique from Ponyville. Once I got a safe distance I smashed a few, making them burst into flames, quenching the town. I chuckled to myself at the sight of it. I then saw a very unzombified pony, run into the flames, committing suicide. I thought nothing of it until I noticed the propane tank he had with him.
OH SHI- ! I thought. Without thinking, I leaped down and set a shield. Too late. A large metal pole lodged itself in my back left leg.
"Haaaa... Haaaghhhhh... Oh... My... Gosh." I stared in disbelief at the metal in my arm. I grabbed it with my teeth and braced myself. I ripped it out, bit into the metal, and screamed to myself, as not to attract the zombies that hadn't already smelt my blood. I got out my bag, shuffled through my rations, and found some painkillers and medical tape. I downed the pills and fixed my wound and looked at the metal. It seemed to be a strap-on ballistic knife. I put it on my arm, it was sharp, strong, and light, a perfect weapon. I picked up my satchel, put it over my shoulder, and flew off.
"Urghhh..." said a zombie, wandering through the Everfree.
Idiots... I thought. I was one of the zombies that still had it's brain. I was able to communicate with humans, due to the fact I was infected through the water supply and not a bite. I lost a lot of my memory, my brain had started to decay, but stopped somehow. i was left with most of my memory, only forgetting my name, my looks, *most mirrors were shattered and the water was filled with blood.* and my family. Even though I seemed like a pony, I had 4 distinct features that set myself apart from others..
One, bloodshot eyes. Two, no need for sleep. Three, no need for food, water, or breathing. And four, superhuman strength. I walked past the zombies, ordering them to look for more survivors through a series of moans and grunts. The language was easy to learn, the survivors were just too ignorant to learn. We were searching through Canterlot in a small group. I had established myself as Alpha, making the Beta a burly, red coated stallion with a short, thick orange mane. His cutie mark was a green looking blob. The small group was more of a pack, they all relied on me to find the next location of travel and how we should divide the food. It was hard work, but I was not alone. There were three zombies that were noticeably smarter then the others.
One was the beta. He could understand and follow orders easiest, I saw him before, I believe his name was big something...Mitch?...Micheal?...Max...MAC! That was it, Big Macintosh. The second was a sea green unicorn, I recognized her as Lyra. She could still use some of her magic. The last one was a butter Pegasus named Fluttershy. She was able to fly and scout an area. I remember that on of my friends had a crush on her... I can't quite remember his name. Big Macintosh walked over and started to tell his report.
"MnmHa MBaRNgB RznMRbbaRBBHrr." he said
Translation:"We find survivor."
I was impressed and respond. "MNMHhaRha?"
Translation:"Where?"
Big Mac did a weird laughing moan, happy he was doing a good job.
"RZBMY." he said
Translation:"Sky."
I nodded in approval and motioned for the pack to follow me the rest of the way.
The Equestrian Apocalypse
I flew quietly through the sky quietly, hoping no zombie could see me. Some zombies could still fly and might follow him.
"Alright, plan... Plan... Hey, what's that?" I said, seeing a small fire in the Everfree. The strange thing is that ponies were sitting around it. I knew zombie ponies didn't need fire to keep warm, but they were easily distracted. I flew down into the trees and looked to see if they were infected or not. I landed quite roughly and got their attention.
"Did you hear that?" one said. The other one shushed him, went under my tree, and bucked it, sending me to the ground.
Dark lightning sat around the fire, organizing supplies. He was a black Pegasus with a black mane that had a red lightning bolt through it. He had red eyes that shot daggers. His cutie mark was a lightning bolt piercing through darkness, he got it during the infection, showing as a sign of hope. There was a large crash into a tree nearby as he continued to organize the survival necessities.
"Did you hear that?" said Centaur. He was blue pegasus with a blue tail and mane, both equipped with green streaks. He had calm blue eyes. His cutie mark was the outline of an invisible pony, showing stealth. He wandered towards the tree, followed by lightning. Lightning walked over to the tree and bucked the life out of it. An albino Pegasus fell out. He had a thick red mane and tail with white streaks. His cutie mark was a sword.
"Who are you?" they said simultaneously. They then heard a twig break.
I wandered through the woods, leading the way towards the smoke from what I though would be a camp. Big Macintosh stepped on a twig, catching the three ponies attention. I spared no time giving orders.
"GhABG BGHham!" I screeched
Translation:"Get them!"
Big Macintosh spared no time and flew into the black Pegasus, delivering a crushing blow. He rolled over and stood, with Big Macintosh towering over, dropping blood on him. He was about to finish him when the albino one shot a ballistic knife into his neck, making him fall over. Most of the pack attacked the blue green pony. Only to stare and shriek at the sly at the survivor. One pony, Fluttershy, was smart and flew up at him, baring her fangs.
Centaur flew up into the sky, leaving the zombies dumbfounded. He turned around to be welcomed by a zombified Fluttershy biting on his leg.
"Haha!" he said, head butting her off and sending her to the ground with a sickening thud. He looked at his leg sadly.
"She bit my metal leg, made a big dent too." he said. He flew down and saw Lightning and the mysterious albino pony fighting for their lives.
I fought with the black Pegasus, trying to stay alive.
"Sorry I skipped the- GET OFF OF ME! Formalities earlier. I'm - RAH! Rendan!." I said, bucking away a unicorn making it stab another with it's horn.
"Nice to meet you, my name- WACHA! Is Dark Lightning. My friend is-" he was interrupted by the blue green Pegasus flying in.
"FEEL THY WRATH OF CENTAUR!!!" he yelled, ramming into a group of ponies and bucking into a few more. He then grabbed the other two ponies and flew off.
I roared in rage at the zombies in the language they couldn't understand.
"You idiots! Why can't you do anything right! It was a simple sneak attack! And you somehow ruined it!" I yelled, stomping on the ground until I blew off my steam. They all exchanged looks and did the same. I face hoofed and motioned for them to follow me, I wasn't about to lose a kill anytime soon.
