Charming's POV
"This is the first time I've ever felt this way. The first time I have ever felt love for another pony." I gently stroked my usual calligraphy on the withered pages of my journal. afterwards, I closed my journal, padlocked it, and set it down. I then daydreamed of my crush, Midnight Fire. We are alike in very few ways, and different in endless ways. I am sort of unusual, and I don't fir in with the crowd, whilst she does. She's considered a superior at our school. She has more friends, more stallions swoon over her, and in general, ponies like her.
"But oh, how I grieve for thine love, Midnight." I quoted in a Shakespearean style. "Oh, how I covet thine beauty and thy love, lo, I wish to love forevermore." I finished. I am skilled at English literature and poetry, and I'm very surprised that I had not received a cutie mark in that particular art. Instead, Celestia presented to me a crude pair of hearts on my flank. What does that even mean? Am I some kind of love doctor? Well, Midnight does have one similar to mine, hers is a large heart with an arrow piercing through it. I guess destiny may have been predetermined. I do dream of the day when I'll hold Midnight's hoof in mine, she wearing a gorgeous white gown , and the ring I had presented to her. I dream of the day where we say our "I do's"
and join together as mare and colt.
I was deep in that thought, but suddenly reality dawned to me and I was once more disappointed. Like Midnight, a beautiful, intelligent, and popular mare would go for an uncool, unhip, nerd of a stallion. That's just not now it works. Either way,
she's already an "item" with the captain of the hoofball team. Can somepony say "stereotype"?
"Well," I said to myself. "I am quite tired, I should rest myself for tonight." Thank Celiestia it's Friday. I get to sleep in tomorrow.
Midnight's POV
Finally home from a hard day at school. Ms. Cherilee sure knows how to make a LONG conversation on dividing decimals. I can't stand math, if I could stay in the art and theatre room at school all day, I would. I wish to be an actress, and there's a play coming up. It's some Shakespeare story, I'm not sure what. Whatever it is, I wan the female lead, and perhaps my boyfriend, Reginald, can get the male lead. Hopefully it's romantic though, I hear some of Shakespeare's stories can be bloody.
Well, that's enough jibber-jabber, I'll text my best friend, Marshmallow Dream. I grabbed my phone from off my dresser and sent a text to Marshmallow.
Yo, Marsh, do you know what the play is going to be?
A few moments later, I got a very long text.
Yes, the play is on Shakespeare's most famous tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, and auditions are next Tuesday.
Perhaps you would like some feedback on this play? Well, there are two house, Montegue and Capulet. They are constantly feuding. Romeo's dad is Montegue, and Juliet's dad is Capulet. They forbid the love between the two. Juliet is 13 and Romeo is around 17. In the end, both die, including Romeo's mother, who dies of grief after Romeo's exile from Verona.
Why in Ponyville would I need to know ALL that? I just need to know how to act, and if I need to know anything else, there's a script.
