"Always dead when the minotaur goes." The battle had been won, As the enemy had surrendered. He went to his normal spot in the temple, and just sat there, waiting for his next challenge. In the distance, he could clearly make out angered screams, and disgruntled voices. He decided to himself it was worth checking out. When he got in to the room from which the retched noises had been coming from, and there he saw some of his last match's enemies fighting with some of his former team mates. "WELL, MAYBE IF YOU NOT TOWER HUG ENTIRE TIME-" The disgruntled Ymir was cut off by Thor's hammer just barely missing his frozen face. "WELL, AT LEAST I HAD THE COMMON SENSE TO NOT CHARGE IN AND SACRIFICE MYSLEF FOR NO REASON!" They got in each-other's faces, ready to kill one-another. "Guys! Can't we all just agree that it was a good game?" Freya's attempts to calm the two were futile. "NOBODY ASK YOU, YOU HAD WORST SCORE!" Ymir snapped back instantly. "Excuse me?!" Freya was beginning to lose her fragile composure. "YEAH, WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHILE I FOUGHT THIS FAT HUNK OF ICE YOU WHORE?!" Thor yelled in Freya's face. Now she was furious. Anubis could tell by the look on her once neutral face. While the whole thing was going down, Anubis took note of the others in the room. Bakasura, the top scoring member of his team was quietly humming to himself in a corner, fiddling with his claws. He creeped Anubis out, but he could understand him better than all his team-mates nonetheless. His other team mate was Ra. Anubis could relate to him most since they both were egyptian, and had ruled the dead and sun along side each-other. He was cleaning his prized staff, as per usual. On the flip side, the opposing team had four members on the side-lines. Choosing to not get involved in the surprisingly, and ironically hot-headed Ymir's argument. First there was Ao kuang and Agni, the team's two ranged casters. They were both keeping to themselves, thinking deeply, obviously personal issues. Their other two, Bastet and Ares, were both a little more active. Bastet was caring for her prized tigers, and cleaning herself as well. Ares was inspecting his sword and shield, glaring at Thor. He had obviously been the one to cause the shield's new and obvious dent. He got up, with the intent to kill. At this very moment, it was if time stopped. All of the more argumentative gods got ready to strike. Anubis took a second to lay the possible outcomes. One: The others join in and this becomes a little skirmish. Highly unlikely. Two: They duke it out till death. Most likely outcome. Three: Their spells create some sort of reaction, probably killing us all. About as possible as Ymir and Freya getting together. Ymir raised his mighty club, aiming for a kill on both Freya, and the not so subtle Thor. Ares charged in, A vendetta against Thor as well, released a mighty chain from his gauntlet. Freya reacted quickly, and her hands began to glow and she readied herself to strike. Thor was already planning for this fated event, and lifted his hammer, lightning striking it less than gracefully. as all of them threw their mighty spells, they collided, making a chain reaction beyond belief. Ever god in the room looked up, noticing the now well forming anomaly. Are you fucking kidding me? The Anomaly, Now fully formed, began sucking in everything in the room. Those Idiots just made a rift in time and space! Anubis new this well before he was yanked in, The force almost un-bearable. The last thing he saw before he was pulled in, was the horrified faces of every innocent bystander, and then, darkness. Anubis was barely awake. He was soon to be unconscious, and he knew it. As he gathered what he could before his imminent collapse, he hoped that his team-mates were okay. And importantly, that the slightly insane Bakasura wouldn't cause any forest fires while he was collapsed. The sun was high in the sky, and In the distance, the vivid and probable mirage that was a bright colored castle on a cliff. Somewhere else... The forest was silent. Dark. deep. And suddenly, a small hooded creature broke the silence, and screamed, "Baka to da FUTURE!"                                                                                   Author's Note First fan fic- W00T. Please, tell me what you think. If this gets ANY good feedback, I will continue. (P.s. Anubis is best god) Further in the story, I will tell different parts from the perspectives of Anubis's teammates. i.e. Baka, Freya, Thor, Ra. //-------------------------------------------------------// Contact //-------------------------------------------------------// Contact Contact Bakasura had no idea where he was, or why he was there. All he cared about was the fact that there.... were.. TREES! FRIGGIN TREES! AND VINES TO CLIMB ON TOO! If he were a child, this would be sensory overload, Of the finest degree. Hopping from branch to branch, he was having a blast. A little too much of a blast. In the distance, he could see a small village. "I wonder how tasty the villagers are.." He decided his hunger fantasies could wait. He needed to have some fun! Anubis's eyes slowly opened, adjusting to his settings. He was still in a forest, but it was now night-time. He tried to assess his current situation, but was interrupted abruptly. something was rustling the bushes behind him. Quickly back on his feet, he reached for his scepter... "Damn it!." His scepter was gone. Well, of course it was gone. Did he really expect it to have followed him? It may have been crafted for a god, but that didn't me it had a conscious. He looked back, and to his surprise, it was a small bright blue fly. It had large beckoning green eyes, and was just there, staring at him. He chuckled to himself before backing down slowly. "You remind me of my own swarm..." When he reached out to it however, It turned out this thing had a craving for something besides affection. Let's just say if Anubis hadn't pulled back, he would be one finger shorter. Ten minutes later... Panting, Anubis slid down the side of a tree. "Ugh... Not... As nice... As... My... S-Swarm.." He was exhausted. And hungry. Ignoring the intense growling of his stomach, he though of his team-mates. And most importantly, his former enemies. He was having a hard enough first day. Now what would really ruin it, was one of their more.. "Aggressive." Members. Bastet or Ao kuang were most likely to co-operate if he found them. He knew nothing of Agni, but he was sure if Ymir or Ares showed up, it would be a battle. Twilight was minding her own business, When spike burst through the door, looking like he was about to puke. But, before she could say anything, Spike opened his mouth, releasing a plethora of flames, and most importantly, A scroll bearing a stamp with the royal Canterlot insignia upon it. With haste, she picked up the scroll, breaking the intricate seal. To my dearest student, It has come to my attention that yesterday, a magical disturbance was detected in the Everfree forest. Seeing as it would take days to get a team of trained guards out there to investigate, I am trusting this matter in your well trained hooves. Send a report to me as soon as you have discovered the cause of the disturbance, or what, or, "Who." Has come through. "Strange.. But who am I to question the princess's orders? Let's go spike." Twilight gathered some essentials, and made way for the forest, alongside her scaly friend.     Twilight was now deep in the forest, and it was getting darker by the second. In the distance, she could hear parasprites. It was highly likely they were chasing, "Dinner." They normally gathered in swarms when hungry, so she just brushed the possibility of something else and assumed it was indeed, feeding time for them. She had now been walking for hours, and spike was starting to voice his opinion of the situation. :Twiiiliigghht!... Im soo tired! Come one! We can continue looking tomorrow!" She simply shrugged his nagging off, for she could sense that the source of the disturbance was getting closer by the minute. When she realized it was just in front of her, she had bumped in to some sort of, "Pole." Judging by it's size and shape, it could be a staff held by some sort of statue. The main thing that bugged her though, was that there was some sort of blue-ish ball of energy inside of the intricate design on the tip... Author's Note Sorry for the really short chapters, Like I said, Until I get some major input, I can't decide if I should even continue. So...              TELL ME OR ELSE THEY MIGHT NOT EVEN HAPPEN! Um.. sorry for freaking out btw... Can you just tell me what you think? //-------------------------------------------------------// Impressions //-------------------------------------------------------// Impressions Impressions    Twilight was still observing the curious staff, when she heard a footsteps slowly approaching from her right.   She quickly turned to look at what was coming. Assuming it was a creature native to the forest, such as a timber wolf, or manticore, she readied a quick and easy sedation spell. While highly potent, It consumed very little of her strength.   She blindly casted it towards the sound of the noise, and in response, heard a light grunt. To her surprise, it was not one of the former, but something in-between. About twice as tall as her, it fell through the bushes, face first on to the ground. "Umm Twilight? What IS that thing?" Anubis was tired. Very tired. H was stumbling along when he felt the prescence of his staff. His precious, precious staff.   Realizing this, he began to stumble in the direction form which the staff's energy was flaring. "Finally... The first bit of good news since I have entered this reached realm.. He though to himself. While delved in his thoughts, he nearly tripped on a tree root. Noticing this as he was falling, he grunted, retaining his balance on to the tree that owned the aforementioned roots. He then noticed a bright pink light near the supposed location of his staff. Then, the light started moving. Right at him. He realized this bitter sweet fact too late, and was hit square in the chest by the ball of light. He felt sleepy. So sleepy. "Must.. Sleep." Anubis whispered to himself as he began to collapse. When he impacted the ground, he heard a faint voice, not too old, yet not too young. all he could make out from the sentence before fading away, was, "Twilight.... thing..." "Oh my.." Twilight whispered to herself, observing the creature. It was canine in appearance, but it had many traits not common of it's trademark species. She also noted the clothing it wore. Made of a shining gold metal, cleanly woven with red, and grey fibers to hold it together. It appeared old as well. Leading her to believe the gray was once something more bright. Another connection revealed itself immediately. when the creature toppled over, the staff reacted the second it came in to view.  The center of the energy massing on the orb grew ever so slightly, and the staff tilted towards it's now obvious owner.   "Spike, we should probably bring it back with us..." Twilight said gently to her scaled companion.   "Twilight, we don't even know what It Is!" Spike piped out in retort.   "Whatever it is, It is obviously intelligent, and we don't have any record of it anywhere! It could be a new species, it might have an entire city that it calls home. Do you think it would take well to me stunning it, and leaving it in the Everfree forest un-armed?"   Spike was taken back, but saw the logic in the mare's sudden outburst. "Okay Twilight..." He solemnly replied.   Twilight's magical aura covered the creature, and it began to levitate. As the two made their way home, spike felt as if he was being watched. Heavily watched..   Freya woke up with an acing pain. "Agh.. What the hell happened..?" She asked her self aloud.  Finally out of a daze, she scoped her surroundings. There were leaves.  Leaves EVERYWHERE. She simply ignored this and looked down. That's when it hit her. She was in a tree. After further examination, she concluded it was an apple tree. Looking through the mesh of leaves, she saw that she was, in fact, surrounded by apple trees. Freya was amazed. Since she was a valkyrie, she lived in the clouds most of her life. Being the queen of them as well didn't help one bit. She was always caring over her many sisters. All of the Valkyries were sisters, in a sense. They had to be as close as sisters, seeing-that the only people they new were each other. She simply didn't have time to visit the surface and experience such pleasures. Well, at least until she had to go to the surface to fight to the death. She STILL couldn't enjoy any of those pleasures. Snapping out of, "Memory lane," She realized she was obnoxiously hungry. " Man, apples have never looked better.." She though to herself. Reaching out to one, she picked it off of its branch. Snap. It delicious. She had heard from her sisters how succulent and juicy fruits were. She felt a slight bliss while enjoying the fruit. That is, until one hit her straight in the head.   "HEY! Get out of that tree ya varmint!" How dare this insolence.. Someone had just hit her! The QUEEN of the VALKYRIES with a fruit! This would not stand. She jumped down from the tree, ignoring her lack of weaponry, and was ready to confront the perpetrator.   That was, until she saw that it was a small, bright orange horse. Anubis was regaining conscience, and hell was he confused. He appeared to be in a library of some sort. He was in a bed, much more comfortable than the kind he was used too. I mean, how comfortable could a stone slab be? Continuing to observe his surroundings, he witnessed  the sun shine. In his eyes.He quickly rose from his half-slumbering state to escape the sun's invasive rays. "This has to be a sign that Ra is here too." He thought to himself. He got out of his comfortable resting place, and noticed a door. As he made his way towards it, it began to open. He readied himself for combat, but what he got was not one of the many things he thought it to be. In appearance, it looked like a small lizard. Large, green eyes, with a matching green spine. It's scales were a bright purple, with a tan underbelly. The creature simply looked at Anubis with horror. And in a split second, it was gone. "It... ran?" Anubis said to himself. This was most curious. He hastily decided to follow the creature, but not too quickly. He might scare it even more. As he made his way out the door, he saw it went down some stairs, flailing it's arms and screaming in the process. He went down them too, noticing that the dragon was not alone. It was standing next to a small vivid purple horse. It had a horn, which perplexed Anubis.  What happened next made Anubis question his immediate sanity. "Hello? can you understand me?" Author's note: I'm shocked. Sandy hasn't taken my power out yet, but I managed to write a FULL CHAPTER in a few hours. :D Enjoy, because I tried to put a little more effort in to this chapter. Point out any fails as usual. Thanks guys. ~R3R4LJ
