One day Doctor Whooves left,
He said he would be back for me.
I walked away knowing he would,
And wondered which friend I should go see.
Now Carrot Top and I,
We get along and live together.

Applejack is always busy with her orchard.

Are good musicians all three,
But are nervous of me since the incident at the jam match.
And all the other ponies, Unicorns, Pegasus, Stallions and Mares,
They know my voice, my eyes.
My clumsiness no longer takes them by surprise,
But for me and the way I am they just don’t care.
I sit on my little black rain cloud,
And cry and cry my heart out.
“Is there anypony for me?”
I just want to scream and cry and shout.
Putting my head down and closing my eyes,
I fell asleep.
Continued to weep,
While my cloud carried me across the skies.
When I wake the sun is gone and the moon is in its’ place,
At it I stare,
Then I notice the Mare,

“Oh Princess Luna, though you are locked away,

I look up and see Princess Luna in all her glory,
She tilts her horn to me.
“One lonely heart to another,” she whispered,
“I will end your sad story.”
Sunset woke me up and made me realize it was all a dream,
I go home,
Stay up late sorting mail,
Trying to forget what it could mean.
A month later I was hungry all the time every day.
Anxious,
Irritable and snippy,
And after work I would never want to play.
Carrot Top thinks I’m sick,
And that could be the case maybe.
At the hospital the doctor says,
“Congrats Derpy, you’re having a baby!”
I sat there for a while in shock,
DID the Mare in the Moon knock me up?
I head to the library,
And get books about raising a pony pup.
Baby would be eleven months until birth,
I would cherish him,
Or care for her,
And love my little foal more than anything on earth.
I said baby was Doctors’ Whooves to avoid a scandal.
To know where my child came from,
A gift from the Mare in the Moon,
Would be too much for any-pony to handle.
Going to Cloudsdale, waiting to go into labor pains,
I slept and waited.
Looking forward to what I had already gained,
Lying still with my breath bated.
My water broke and I gave birth alone,
That’s when you, my little Dinky and I did first meet.
Your unexpected horn, that protruding bone,
And the first time you nuzzled from my teat.
I cried many tears that night.
Few from pain,
More for what the world had gained,
Most from how my heart sang.
Picking you up we stared at the moon,
I told you Luna’s 1000 imprisonment would end soon.
Even if night did last eternally,
We would still go to her and thank her on bended knee.
“For this amazing gift she gave to us,
For all the world to see.
Depry is now a mother,
And swaddled in her arms is her beautiful baby.”
The sun rose and we flew to town,
All our friends and neighbors gathered ‘round.
They were all proud and congratulated me,
While we were still thinking of Princess Luna who soon we would see.
After Celestia announced that her sister had come back,
We wanted to see her, but the royal guards said we were hacks.
She was more understanding and let us speak,
We thanked her endlessly for bring us together when I was most weak.
She blessed us and said to rise,
Then warned us not to tell any-pony of this surprise.
“It will be our secret,” she said,
This is why once a year I sing to you in bed.
Every year on your birthday I sing to you,
About the greatest act any-pony saw the Princesses ever do.
She gave us each other, made our lives complete,
The best thing in my life is the filly running around my feet.

Why your eyes are crooked, why you act so much like me.
