X-COM Friendship is Unknown

A/N: okay to be honest this chapter should have been written next week, BUT I beat X-COM Enemy Unknown on classic so I’m feeling super inspired today to write something. So get ready cause I’m hyped as hell for this, and I’m the one writing it XD.

"Strong Blood do you copy...Strong Blood do you read?" Celestia was talking to static at this point fearing the worst for this poor soldier.

"Does any pony have sight on Strong Blood?"

"I saw him Princess...that was a few minutes ago though." Quick Shot said as he moved closer and closer to Strong Blood's last known position.

"Roger that Shining Armor move the rest of your squad up and find out what happened to Strong Blood...he may be in trouble." Celestia clicked off the radio knowing whatever happened to Strong Blood it can't be good.

"Roger that, team we have a pony missing let's find him I want you all to split up and go into a flanking position around Strong Bloods position." Shining Armor said as he dashed and jumped over debris from buildings and enter PonyVille’s school house. It was dark inside, but he knew it would lead him straight on the opposite side of Strong Blood. He however quickly reached a roadblock when he saw the front doors were being barricaded with a mare huddled around next to them crying in fear. He approached her and saw that it was Rarity huddled over Sweetie Belles body singing sweet lullabies to calm her down.

"Hush now, Quiet now It's time to lay your sleepy head. Hush now Quiet now all is now calm."

After she was finished with her song Shining Armor carefully approached her and knelt down next to her. She looked to her left and almost gasped in terror as she could see something behind him.

"Rarity it's me, Shining Armor Twilights brother, we're here to...what are you looking a...oh" Shining Armor turned around and saw that a tiny insect like bipedal grey creature was standing right behind him brandishing a strange glowing green weapon humming softly. It was pointed straight at his face. He could feel the immense heat emanating off the weapon. Luckily however the creature did not spot him or Rarity and he ducked in a classroom along with Rarity and Sweetie Belle. Shining Armor slowly moved next to Rarity and whispered in her ear.

"Rarity when I go left and get that "thing" to chase me you take Sweetie Belle and head straight north that should lead you to evac."

"But what about you how in hay are you going to survive that thing?"

"Don't worry about me just get Sweetie and yourself to safety, I'll handle this...thing." He really doubted he could even kill this thing let alone damage it. He quickly upholstered his pistol and got ready to run.

"Before we part ways I need to tell you some news I heard from some ponies while hiding in here."

"What is it?" Shining Armor was getting nervous. The creature was getting closer and closer to their position. It would only be a matter of time before it spotted them and opened fire.

"They said that any of the ponies in need of help should head to Twilights Library she has a magical shield built to withstand the attacks… that was over an hour ago though."

"Thanks for the info did you hear that team?" Shining Armor said into his headset as he pointed his pistol in the direction of the strange creature.

"I read you commander what about Strong Blood?"

"He is not the main priority as of now those civilian are now get to the Ponyville Library and secure it." Celestia said into the microphone knowing fully well that Strong Blood was more than likely dead.

"I'm the closest one to the library commander I'll head in and secure the area and get the civilians out." Quick Shot said as he darted from shop to shop as he reached his goal. As he got closer he could smell rotten meat and burning ashes. The next sight made him nearly faint. Bodies upon bodies were piled up all around the library. They were mostly charred and burned to the bone. Quick Shot saw the library had been caught on fire and was meant to smoke the ponies out. Once their outside it's like shooting fish in a barrel. He swore if he got the chance he would deliver a bullet right in between the skull of what ever did this. He saw the door was still closed and could make out faint whispers from inside. He had to move some bodies, but eventually he cleared the door and opened it.

"CHARGE!"

In a few seconds Quick Shot was on the ground and getting punched in the face with hooves. Quick Shot couldn’t believe he was being beat up by fillies.

"I'LL TEACH YOU TO KILL MY FRIENDS YOU MONSTER DIE DIE DIE!"

Scootaloo the leader of this small team looked more closely at what they were all beating up and could see it was an earth pony.

"Woah woah guys calm down, I think he's with us." Scoot said as he grabbed Pipsqueak and helped the colt in strange armor up.

"Thank you for the help now is there any more of you in the library?" Quick said as he was lead inside what was left of the charred tree as Scootaloo grabbed some medical bandages and applied them to Quicks bruised face.

"Nope it's just us, after those things lit the tree on fire every pony started panicking Twilight couldn't keep the shield up and went to go fight them off with Applejack and... Rainbow Dash." Scootaloo then flashbacked the events that had transpired over a few hours prior to Quick Shot's team arriving.

"Rainbow Dash I wanna go with and help you kick some Changeling flank!" Scootaloo said as she made jabbing motions at invisible targets.

"No way kid it's too dangerous out there for a filly like you, just stay here and keep the rest of the ponies calm."

"But RD I WANT TO HELP TOO!" Scootaloo then tried her best puppy dog eyes to a vain attempt.

"You want to help kid, then stay here and help others this is too dangerous for any pony."

"Then why are you going if it's so dangerous?"

"Because...I'm trying to save the ones I love... now stay here and don't you dare leave this tree, Spike don't let her leave no matter what."

"Got ya Dash, you heard her Scoot just stay here and" The last words were cut off as a large expolsion erupted outside the library.

"ALL RIGHT YOU CHANGELING BASTARDS NO ATTACKS MY CITY AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!" Rainbow Dash wings started flapping and in flash she was outside and in the air as she could see the chaos Ponyville was in. She could see ponies screaming and running and fear. The colts were trying to fight back the enemy, but whatever they were using made quick work of them disintegrating them in seconds leaving only ashes and any clothing they might be wearing.

"Twilight you put up a shield and stay at the library protect Scoot and the others, AJ you head around town and tell every pony possible to get their flank to Twilights Library."

"What about you Dash?" Twilight wondered as her horn started to glow casting a small shield around the library.

"Me, I'm going to show these things a little dash of the Sonic Rainboom." Rainbow Dash then speed into the air and began her famous Sonic Rainboom.

"ALL RIGHT YOU MOTHER BUCKERS PREPARE FOR THE SONIC RAINBO!" Rainbow Dash stopped midflight as a laser of high magnitude collided and pierced her body. He wings stopped flapping as she fell far onto the hard ground. She didn’t even reach as the laser ate up her body and left a cloud of ashes in her wake.

"RAINBOW DASHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Scoot screamed as she watched her idol fall to her death.

"Why didn't you get here sooner?" Scootaloo said at a low whisper.

"You could have saved every pony." Scootaloo said as the nightmare of her idols death played over and over in her head.

A/N: well that’s this chapter down and now we can see the Changelings have some backup this time around. Will Shining Armors team be able to extract every pony to safety? And what about Strong Blood and Shining Armors predicament? Find out next chapter of X-COM Friendship is Unknown.
