Flickswitch loves to invent things.
She has to keep her hand busy.
As a filly, she was attacked, and fell out of cloudsdale.
Now, she has no wings.
Follow her story of finding her way home, or trying, and adjusting to the life of a Pegasus, of which was alienated by the earth pony townspeople of yellowhoof national park, a dusty town in the middle of nowhere.

Hey! Flickswitch here!

I’m a Pegasus pony, born and bred.

But there was an accident when I was a filly…

I was minding my own business, about to go home after flight school, when the class bully decides to pick on me. I’m kind of strong-willed, so I fought back. I bucked him, landing a blow to his flank, devoid of his cutie mark as of yet. Sweat gleamed off his forehead as we circled, wary, alone. Both of us with problems, both having different ways of expressing them. Him, pain. Me, tinkering. I glanced to my right, wary of my saddlebags which held my newest creation, a delicate swan, complete with moving wings.

As I glanced away, however, he landed a solid hit to the side of my head, then, darkness.

I woke up on top of an old barn, pain shooting through my wings so hard I couldn't even scream. I just lay there, passing in and out of consciousness, for what seemed like days, but was probably only hours.

My wings? Toast.

I had to get them amputated; there was nothing the doctors could do for them. They would only cause pain and be a nuisance.

So I couldn’t fly. I was unable to fly back to Cloudsdale. Unable to go home.

Until now!

I was called Flickswitch for a reason, you know!

I live at the town dump – it’s the only safe-ish place for a lone mare.

I built myself some wings out of scraps of metal that I found, and the feathers out of some sort of light durable plastic that I found – probably a filly’s old prank… they throw a lot of stuff away, most of it good, so I give it a new life.

I get money for food by making tinker toys and stuff out of things from the dump.

It’s quite a good business…

My pride and joy is the jumpsuit that I wear to do my test flights in.

I was able to save enough money to have the tailor make it for me, and it’s FANTASTIC!

It’s padded, so when I fall, I don’t hurt myself.

I’m going to go tinker on my wings, tomorrow I’ll sell some toys and gather provisions for the journey.
