The quiet! Normally such a silence wouldn't get to me. Now all it did was remind me of how alone I was.
"Winter" I muttered discusted with the words very exsistence. It felt dirty as if I had the gall to utter the most vulgar swear "winter." Turning to lie on my other side clensed me of these thoughts at least; but it could never cure the quiet that hung thick in the air. Mocking me with it's presence. Forcing my eyes closed I wished for something anything to break the accursed silence. Humming! That would work 'drifting off to sleep exciting day behind you."
If anything now I felt even more awake. This wasn't working... nothing would. Maybe I should just go for a walk. Ponyville was just as quiet as my cottage maybe even more so. Yet it took on a more placid nature. I should do this more often.
"FLUTTERSHY your up too you know what this calls for a slumber party or should I say a hibernation party! Are you ok you seem rather spaced out!"
Hibernation. What a cruel word.

Cadance was worried! Twilight gazed at the scroll in front of her as if it would burst into flames at any second. Cadence was woried that she hadn't found love.
Love a special emotion that was as foreign or even more so than friendship when she initially came to ponyville. Love the magical fuel that both fed and vanquished Chrysalis at her brother's wedding. An emotion she had never given any thought, aside from how cute and sometimes pointless it was. She was never given a prompt, an assignment, or any real indication that she was ready for this advanced magic and now she was tardy. Well at least a 'late bloomer' based on what Cadance had stated in her letter but being called that was even worse to the purple unicorn who had switched from boring holes into the offending parchment with her eyes to gathering books from the romance shelves and unpacking several she had never ordered that always seemed to find their way into her shipment.
There wasn't much to work with when it came down to the amount of ponies Twilight knew and even fewer that she could even remember in her panicked state. The fact that they all were mares was another cause for alarm to Twilight nearly sending her into a second panic attack. Until she saw Cadence only said she had not found love nothing about a colt friend. So that was settled all that was next was who. Peeking back to the books she read nonstop all of them rehashing the same thing making their thoughts all the more clear for the young unicorn. The knowledge from the books showed trial and error, what to look for as well as what to avoid and why. Making the gears in Twilight's head click in comprehension that this was logic.
She had the ideas down instinctively comparing them with her friends the ones who from years of nonstop study dominated her thoughts.
Somepony who makes me laugh - Pinkie obviously her randomness and apparent inability to make sense made her fit that perfectly; not to mention it's her element.
Somepony storng who will protect you and never let you down. Definately Applejack and Rainbow they are the pinnacle of strength, speed and determination. Even Fluttershy fits that bill a little Twilight added.
Somepony who comforts you to be around. There's Futtershy being around her is just enough to make about anypony happier.
Somepony who gives you their all. Rariyt she nearly distroyed herself and her career for our gala dresses.
Lastly and most importantly somepony who makes you feel special. All of my friends do that they each try their best and would do just about anything to help me or anypony really. It's why they are so great to have around and I just listed all of my friends. This book didn't help me choose at all. Throwing a book across the room was practically a crime warrent of the death penalty to the librarian pony, but in this case she took great pleasure in chucking one of the tomes reciving a satisfying thud accompanied by the rustle of pages.
Frustrated she proceded to stare down the floor being stopped by one final book still in the box it was shipped in the title was misleading, but nothing could argue about the subject when faced with it's heart decorated cover. "Polygamy" Twilight read aloud anger fading as she confided in the thing pages.
What ponies do this... Is this even legal... Maybe it's not such a bad idea all those other books did is tell us we would be perfect together. The last of her doubts faded away as all the facts became clear even in her panicked haze and she proceded to call her friends.
It didn't take them all long to arrive being met with a panic striken Twilight at your doorstep normally ment something serious had happened in most cases and even otherwise her friends knew what would happen if they didn't take this seriously. Each one of them (aside from Pinkie who seemed to be enjoying herself) held their own unique look of shock or panic as they all found themselves floting by a purple glow expressions only growing as Twilight began kissing a helpless Rarity met with cheers from Pinkie as she melted in Twilight's hooves. Twilight went throught this with each of them positive that they all wanted this it was just logic.
Author's Note
Like i said this was written very late at night. Now that i am rereading it sounds better then i remembered. There was supposed to be more but i was way over time and that seemed like a good place to stop.

"You know that last day we all spent together... right before I had to leave... it was the best day of my life." Twilight spoke sobs wracking their way into her voice. "You all went so out of your way to make me feel... to make sure I knew how much each of you cared. Nopony know how little time we had left... even Princess Celestia and I sure as hay didn't. If I did I would have... I don't know spent more time with you... tried to listen to you even more."
"Somehow I managed to miss just how fragile our friendship truely was. Practicaly everypony we knew had goals that would drive us apart. Rarity had fashion, Rainbow Dash was going to be a wonderbolt. Me I was probably the worst, getting so caught up in my studies I would ignore the world... ignore you for days on end. Where would that have left you? Knowing you you would have been alone only seeing us when Pinkie would drag us all together. You would just hide your pain. Like you did with this and everything else."
"You never wanted to cause a problem or even share yours if you could avoid it. Did you ever realize how strong you were? Always holding your burdens without wanting.. or even if you did never going for help. Now I know a way to put what i've learned to actual use. We can live through that day again together. You wont have to die and our friends will never leave us. They wont out grow us like the real ones have. Their all successful just like you would have wished and you wouldn't need to hide your pain from me this time around...
That must have hurt you so much. Fluttershy lets be together for the rest of eternity.
