A few days after the Canterlot Wedding incident, Shadow Wing, an alicorn from a far off land called Manewind, has come to study about a group of alicorns known solely as the Ancients. Now in conflict between the utopian Equestria and the land of Manewind, ravaged by wars with daemon, he must unlock the secret of how the Ancients defeated the daemons or the entire pony world may be destroyed. But learning about the past may not bring the answers he desires as his own forgotten past slowly comes back.
