Vinyl and Octavia have built up their friendship by texting each other constantly. When Octavia admits her feelings for Vinyl, the two mares become even closer. But when the cellist informs Vinyl about her visit to Ponyville in a few days, the DJ becomes nervous. Will she be able to talk to the earth-pony in person? More importantly, will she be able to admit her feelings for Octavia when she arrives?

Edit: This story focuses on the growth of Vinyl into a mature young-adult as she lives her life and experiences new things. New chapters of Recollections will not always be in chronological order or involve the same person representing some of the characters, but Vinyl will always represent the same person. All chapters will be canon in Vinyl's growth and will be based on actual events, with slight modifications.
