I woke up to what felt like bouncing. Wait are we still on the train? Well, crap. It might be where I am being too lazy to open my eyes, who cares? All I know is sleep is good and being awake is bad. Uggg, Why am I even awake right now? Please somepony knock me out, I don’t care how. Just.....hit me in the head with a glass bottle or even a...that is all I can really think of. I talk to myself too much, these ponies might think I am crazy if they knew I was talking to myself.

“Morning Nova.” Twilight greeted me seeing I had not opened my eyes yet I can’t help it ok? My eyes are sensitive to sunlight when I first wake up. “Nova are you going to open your eyes yet?” I wanted to answer, but I mean come on, I am thirsty. You know the feeling when you wake up, you are thirsty as hell! That is how I feel right now. I mean, I could go back to sleep OR I could reply to her in a timely fashion.”Nova are you alright?”

“Huh? Yeah I am fine Twilight sorry about that. Just a little tired, that’s all.” I stated with a yawn which earned a giggle from Twilight. “What? It’s not funny and where are we anyway?” I finally decided to open my eyes. I never got to look at my eye color, I just realized that “Hey Twilight, what color are my eyes?”

“They are lavender like mine. What, didn’t you know that?” Twilight said to me when I saw a tree I knew our location, it was the library. YES! I GET TO SEE IT, FINALLY....sorry when I get excited, I freaking yell. “Well we are here. The Princess only made one rule though.”

“Wait, she did? Aww crap, what is it?” I asked hoping it was not a one screw up and you're gone rule, but either way I could not cause that much trouble, could I? Meh, who knows. It is me and I was always a good kid, so that is a big nope.

“Princess Celestia said the one rule is she wants you to learn about the magic of friendship with me and send her reports.” Twilight said ruffling my mane as she sat my lazy flank on the couch. I gotta say, this place has a nice warm homey feeling to it. Homey, is that even a word? I gotta say even if it is not, I will use it. If you don’t like it, then GET OVER IT! But I mean, sending friendship reports can’t be all that bad.

“Well yes, I think I can do that. It doesn’t sound all that bad, but where am i even going to meet ponies my current age?” I wondered jumping off the couch. Wait I wonder where Spike is....WAIT IS SPIKE REAL!? Well I mean, the Princesses and the main six and the CMC are real, so I guess he would be real. “Hey Twilight where is Spike at?” Oh crap, I hope it is not like one of those fics and he’s dead. Please let him be alive.

“If you would have listened to me, the one rule is friendship reports AND she wants you to attend Ponyville Elementary to meet foals your current age.” Twilight stated staring at me while I gave out a sheepish laugh. Hahaha, I mean come on, you can’t say you wouldn’t have done the same. Still...WAIT A SECOND, SCHOOL!? I ALREADY WENT TO SCHOOL!

“Twilight, do I really need to attend school!? I already went to school and payed my dues, so to speak.” I am still in shock, BUT REALLY!? SCHOOL!? COME ON! Wait a second, how old am I? Anyway, somepony tell me that how old are the CMC and I can guess my age from there. Who cares anyway. “Are you sure about that Twilight? I mean, I hated school where I came from. People are jerks, well...there was one person who was not a jerk.” I miss him. His parents never said where he went, only that he left town.

“Well, the Princess did order it, well asked, but still yes. Just please do it.” Twilight then nuzzled me. Wait a second, she’s talking to me like I’m her child. I mean sure, the talking to me like a child part sucks, but she’s treating me like her own. Nothing can make this any better. “So Nova did you keep practicing magic?”

“Fine, when do I start second grade? But I won’t like it!” I asked I heard Twilight stifling a giggle. What does she find so funny? Does she find it funny? Let me guess, where I am obligated to go to school “What is so funny?”

“Well you won’t be in second grade.” Twilight giggled again WHAT IS SHE FINDING SO FUNNY?!? “Well, you will be starting kindergarten.” I felt a pit in my stomach. I mean, why kindergarten!? What wrong have I done to deserve that? Wait, so then I must be five. Oh lordy why me. Oh and I bet my last dollar that the Cutie Mark Crusaders are eight. Meh, who cares.....alright I kinda care.

“K-k-k-kindergarten!? You have got to be kidding me Twilight! Please say this is a sick joke.” I wanted to scream. I wanted to punch a wall! I made this OC to be the child of Twilight and his talent is magic in a way, but I don’t know in what way. I hope it is magic, but then again I want my talent to be different. Who knows, it might be it might not be, but back to the subject at hoof. Ha I’m funny. “I mean, come on. Kindergarten? That is going to suck.”

“No. Sorry Nova, I am not joking. I know you are not looking forward to it, but here kindergarten only last half a day. So you can be there until twelve or four, your choice.” Twilight was not joking. What have I gotten myself into? Wait, I just realized something. If Twilight adopted me, well while I am here, she is my ‘mother’. Then would that make Shining Armor my uncle so to speak. I want to be lazy right now.

I was in the middle of a little magic practice that Twilight is making me do. It is hard but I did it, I levitated a book. It was hard I and I wanted to faint, it took the breath out of me. I only got the thing an inch off the ground but still it was hard. I dropped the book with a thud. Oh crap, I dropped a book, Twilight is gonna be pissed.

“Good job Nova. You got that book a inch in that air, that is pretty good.” Twilight once again said to me like I am a child. You know back when at home on Earth, if someone did that to me I would flip them the bird but I do not have fingers so I can’t do that but still I wonder where Spike is

“Hey Twilight where is Spi-” I was interrupted by a belch making me jump then a little girl screamed I mean you have heard a little girls scream but this was just wow it sounded like something from a hor-

“Nova are you alright that was just Spike when he burps most of the time then it is a letter from the Princess” Twilight explained to me I know I am sounding like a broken record but she was speaking to me like I am a child I gotta say it is getting annoying

“Yes I know that and the way he sends letters is by breathing fire on them and I did not scream like a little girl that was....uhhh uhhh uuhhh HEY LOOK A DISTRACTION!” I pointed my hoof in a random direction shockingly enough Twilight looked the way I pointed and I ran before being levitated wow that sucked all I know is I was laughing why the hell am I laughing

“Lets see all the letter is saying is that the Princess wants Nova to get a check up and then she wants him to start school” Said by the cubby baby dragon Yeah thats right Spike I am talking about you come at me bro pfft thats what I thought punk

“Thank you Spike now back to you Nova I know you don’t want to start school again but you have to alright” Twilight said to ME once again I am getting a little annoyed with her treating me like a child I guess I have to get used to it as I was saying thou- WAIT DOCTOR?!?

“Ummm Twilight please say the doctor thing was a joke I kinda hate doctors” I sounded like Fluttershy the way I was talking but STILL I HATE DOCTORS nothing against them but the whole getting vaccinations that is what makes it worse just the idea for getting a needle put in me its not that I doctors just the thought of getting blood work done is what scares me or just having a needle stuck in my arm I HATE NEEDLES THEY MAKE ME CRY......crap I just admitted that who cares its true

“Nope sorry Nova but we need to make sure you are healthy” Twilight said what wrong have I done sweet celestia what wrong have I done deserve this punishment nothing thats what either way it seems they hate me I mean come on a needle think about it “Nova you their snap out of it” Twilight said waving a hoof in my face I hate it when people did that

“Yes I am fine Twilight don’t worry just thinking to myself” I was really bored I love libraries but living in one is going to bore the crap out of me OH MAN THIS SUCKS I wonder if any of my friends would believe where I am right now I know a certain person who would get diabetes and die from Fluttershy’s cuteness one of my best friends Jero or if he came here I guess Shadow Breeze.

“Hey Nova I am making sandwiches for lunch is that alright with you?” Twilight asked looking at me I really really am not looking forward to starting kindergarten either way a sandwich sounds GOOD I haven’t eaten since the train ride so food sounds good right now

“Ya sandwiches sound good” I know I know it seems like I am acting like a child but shaddup. I wonder if Cheerilee is going to be my teacher if so than it sounds alright after a few seconds there was a knock at the door

When I walked down stairs I saw a butter yellow pegasus yummm butter....Sorry sorry I got distracted But I saw Fluttershy and a shaded-grey pegasus my jaw ended up slamming on the floor when I saw him.

“Nova don’t stare its ju-” I interrupted Twilight I know big deal I interrupted her get over it fool

“No freaking way, Jero!?” I squeaked out

Okay everypony I hope you like the chapter now if you are wondering who Jero is he is from Living Between Worlds this is not a crossover fic with them. You may also know him as Shadow Breeze from DRDCT. I just felt like throwing him in here he is one of my friends and proof-read the chapter and wow this Authors Note is a big one but yes I hope you are liking the story so far I will try and have a new chapter up today or tomorrow
