Katie leaned against Twilight's bookcase, and hugged her knees. Rarity had given her a quite...thorough....washing, so her hair know gleamed past her toes (for even though Rarity tried, Katie was quite attached to her long locks.) She stared forward at Spike, who was now every second glancing at her. I'm a novelty, just a play toy. she thought to herself and stared out the window at the cartoon world. Ponies, sunshine, happiness. Her life just felt to real, she was just to real to be in this cartoon world.

"How are you?" said a voice from the front door. Katie turned her head fast, still concealing her bow and arrow (that she had made when she was 8, she knew the ponies wouldn't like it so she kept it from them.) despite her urges on her leaf blanket she had made. She made many things in the wild. "Oh, Twilight! Fine." said Katie and decreased her smile as she crumpled to the ground of the library. She wanted a fight. She expected a fight. She needed a fight.

"No you're not Katie, you're not fine" Katie turned to Twilight and asked her "What?" "Huh, Katie? Oh I asked how you were doing but you answered that.." Twilight looked confused, for she hardly understood the human. Twilight knew to be careful, humans might be dangerous. They hadn't had one since..since..well before Katie. Katie turned around and saw a pair of gleaming red and orange eyes staring at her. "Tell me, Tell me" said the voice. Katie turned, Twilight was gone and Spike was sleeping. "I..I don't belong here" she told the eyes "Not here, in a cartoon. My life is to real, I want my real family!" She yelled, surprising herself. She quickly turned to Spike who, despite her yelling, was still asleep murmuring about ice cream. "Let me tell you something, for the real world all you must do is tear those ponies in the woods, your "friends". apart from each other. They mustn't be friends, then I'll grant you your wish.

Katie's eyes began to tear as the eyes vanished into the darkness. She was struck with a weird sense of reality.

I've got to split the unsplittable. She knew it wasn't a word, but she thought it any way.

Fluttershy walked in, Katie hardly noticed. "you mustn't talk to the eyes" said Fluttershy in her low voice. Katie turned around and stared into Fluttershy's deep blue eyes with surprise "they belong to Discord, the more you talk to them the more you depend on them. You won't listen now but in the end it happens. trust me. don't talk to them again" Fluttershy left without another word.

Katie stared forward at Spike who rolled over and whispered in a repetition of Fluttershy "discord" and mumbled back to sleep.
