Lyra hasn't eaten a pie in a long time. Seriously. And not because she didn't want to, either. She was pretty much cursed. Long story. Not this one. Pie turns to ash in her mouth.

Anyway, the day has finally come where she can eat pie once more!

"Doo doodooby-doo~" Lyra sang to herself as she worked in the kitchen.

It was Pie Day! The day after the horrible period of time only to be known as 'the Dark Ages of Pie.' Put simply, Lyra had lost a bet and couldn't to eat pie until the Princess herself came to town. And what do you know, according to Twilight Sparkle, that day was today!

Now you're probably thinking, "why didn't she just eat pie on the sly?" Well, there were two reasons. One, Lyra's sense of honor wouldn't allow her to break a promise…for awhile. Pie is really a powerful force, which is why it is sometimes weaponized. Secondly, she had lost the bet against 'The Fire Mage of Zebrica' and as such, pie turned to ash in her mouth when she tried to eat it anyway.
