Rainbow Spoon
The sun had just disappeared in the horizon giving its place to the moon when Rainbow Dash and the rest of the weather patrol had finished setting up that night scheduled rain. With the exhaustion of a whole day of training and working finally catching up to her, Dash decided to call it a day and return to her cloud castle to rest.
The applebuck season had just ended and she and Applejack were planning on hanging out together the whole day, and she would have to be well rested if she wanted to beat her friend in a game of horseshoes. Dash said goodbye to the rest of the team and went back to her home, going straight to bed.
Dash awoke in the middle of the night. It was still dark, but the sound of the rain was a lot weaker, indicating that quite a few hours must have passed. She stayed in the bed for a few moments, hoping to fall asleep again, until she realized that something was wrong.
For some reason she had the impression that somepony else was in her room, but she quickly discarded the idea, there was no way that could be true, she tough. She was almost falling asleep again, but suddenly her eyes went wide open upon the realization that she could hear a breath right behind her. Tense with the realization that somepony had broken into her house, she slowly turned away to look at whoever was there, and became paralyzed upon seeing her mysterious, uninvited guest.
He seemed to be an earth pony, but somehow was able to walk on clouds. He wore black pants that covered his cutie mark, black shoes on his hind hoofs and a black hoodie. His coat was a pale white and he had dark circles around his black eyes. In his face, he had an expression of pure rage, his eyes overflowing with bloodlust.
As soon as Rainbow Dash regained control of her body, she jumped out of her bed to the opposite side of the mysterious pony, assuming defensive stance.
"WHO ARE YOU? HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?"
The black-clothed pony ignored her questions and started advancing in slow, distorted steps. Dash stepped back in the same speed, her heart exploding in her chest, sweat dripping from her forehead, her eyes carefully scanning him, trying to detect any sudden movement that the mysterious pony made. With all her focus centered on him, Rainbow Dash didn't realize the wall behind her until she touched it and found herself cornered.
With Dash cornered, the pony continued advancing until he was only a few centimeters of distance from her, and then he slowly raised his right hoof to inside his jacket. Dash tension raised even more, knowing that the invader was probably going to grab some kind of weapon, and got ready to attack him. Finally, the stallion took his hoof of from the jacket revealing…a spoon!
With the 'weapon' finally revealed, Dash tension dropped to negative levels, while she stared blankly to the silver spoon on the pony's hoof, until he hit her in the forehead.
"OUCH!" Rainbow Dash yelled, despite it being a simple spoon, it hurted a lot! "WHAT IS YOUR PROB…OUCH!" Dash tried to talk, but was interrupted by a second strike of the spoon.
After noticing the incoming third strike, Dash tried to block with her hoof, but somehow he still managed to hit her. And then he hit her again. And after that he hit her again once again and again and again and again and again and again. After the 10th strike, her patience reached its limit and Dash quickly turned around, putting all of her strength in a powerful buck. The pale stallion was hit right in the middle of his chest, being hurled a few feet away. The floor of the cloud castle didn't bore the impact and the spoon-wielding pony fell right through it.
Rainbow Dash fell to her flanks, panting hard. Her legs, shoulders and head were sore from the repetitive spanking, but she couldn't rest just yet. She stood up and walked to recently formed hole on the floor of her bedroom. Upon looking down through the hole she saw…nothing. There was no way an earth pony could have survived a fall from this height, and even if did survived, it wouldn't be able to just stand up and go away this quickly. The stallion was supposed to be down there, stirred on the ground, but it wasn't, it had simply disappeared. Dash continued there, immobile, looking down, wondering what could have happened with the pony, until…
"OUCH!" Dash yelled as a sharp pain suddenly flared on her flank and her whole body stiffened. Quickly turning her head she saw the black-clothed pony holding the spoon on his right hoof, now with a hint of a sadistic smile added to his hateful expression.
"You've got to be kidding m-OUCH!" Dash bucked him on the chest once again. This time, however, the stallion barely flinched, like if he hadn't been hit at all, and once again, proceeded to hit Dash flank with an unstoppable sequence of spoon strikes. Knowing that she couldn't fight anymore, Dash knew that her only option for now was running away, and so, she started running towards the door of her home. The stallion, despite holding a spoon on a hoof, still managed to keep up with her speed, never stopping the beating.
Immediately after crossing the front door, Rainbow Dash took flight and flew straight up, leaving the few remaining rain clouds behind, until she was way above Ponyville. Dash landed in small cloud near her and sat down, trying to catch her breath. There was no time to rest however, as a few seconds later she was hit once again on the back of her head. Looking back, she saw that the stallion had somehow appeared right behind her.
Taking flight once again, Dash flew away with all of her speed, but a few seconds later, she once again felt the now familiar strikes on her flank. Turning her head, she saw that the spoon-wielding pony had bit her tail and was being dragged along, still attacking tirelessly. Dash started to buck once again. The stallion stayed firm and refused to let go, until her tail could no longer hold the impact and was tore in half and her assaulter fell, quickly disappearing among the clouds below.
Dash finally stopped, trying to catch her breath. It was finally over now, there was absolutely no way that he could have survived a fall this high. Celestia's sun had just started to appear on the horizon, it's firsts rays of warmth bathing Rainbow Dash, shining upon her rainbow mane and her rose colored eyes. For what felt like ages, Dash just stayed there, hovering, enjoying the beauty of the dawn and her recovered freedom, until…
"OUCH!" Dash yelled for probably the 100th time. She quickly turned around and saw the spoon-wielding pony, completely unharmed, with a bunch of multi-colored balloons tied to his back, allowing him to float and hit Rainbow Dash with his terrifying spoon.
"This can't be happening!" Dash said as she started to fly down to Ponyville, the pursuer now holding to her hind leg and still attacking. "I need help, but from who? Fluttershy? No, I can't involve her into this mess!" As Rainbow Dash thought about who could help her, she found herself passing right in front of Sugarcube Corner. "That's it! Pinkie Pie! She aways wake up early to open the bakery!" And so, Dash flew into the Sugarcube Corner, without noticing that the weight on her leg had disappeared.
"PINKIE PIE I NEED YOUR HELP…" Dash shouted as she entered the bakery, but was interrupted by a rain of streamers falling on her head. Despite the early time, Sugarcube Corner was completely decorated for a party, complete with an excited Pinkie Pie standing right next to her.
"Rainbow Dash! Why did you take so long! I was waiting for you so that we could get the party started!"
"What party are you talking about? You wasn't planning any party for today!"
"What Party? The welcome party for your friend, you silly filly!" Pinkie Pie pointed to the center of the room, where now stood the black-clothed pony, holding his spoon in a threatening way.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Rainbow Dash shouted, jumping in the air with her tail and mane going erect from the shock, before dashing out of the building. The pursuer instantly reached her, continuing the merciless attack even as Dash galloped at full speed through the streets of Ponyville, until an idea suddenly came to her mind.
"That's it, Twilight! She always knows what to do!" And so, Rainbow Dash galloped to the gargantuan tree that functioned as the town's library and Twilight's home. After reaching the library, Rainbow Dash immediately flung the door open and found that Twilight had just finished walking down the stairs from her bedroom.
"Twilight, I need your help! It's urgent!" Upon seeing the distressed state of Rainbow Dash and the wounds that covered various parts of her body, Twilight immediately knew that something was wrong with her friend.
"Rainbow Dash, please, calm down and tell me what happened." And so, Dash told Twilight all about the spoon pony, while Twilight just stared in disbelief.
"Rainbow Dash, this makes absolutely no sense!"
"But it's true! How else would you explain those wounds?"
"Look Dash, you have been working too much and training too hard recently. All this stress can't be good for your mental health." Now it was Rainbow Dash turn to stare in disbelief.
"Are you saying that I did this to myself?"
"I'm sorry Dash, but there is just no way to determine that these wounds aren't self-inflicted. You need professional help Dash." Dash was shocked, but I wasn't really a surprise. None of it made sense, anypony would think she was crazy, but still, she needed to find somepony that could help.
"Dammit! I should have known that you wouldn't believe me!" Dash said as she headed for the door.
"Dash, wait!" Twilight tried to stop her, but Rainbow Dash just ignored her and left the library. As soon as Dash was outside, once again she felt the spoon strikes on her back and flank. This time however she didn't bothered looking back or running away, she knew it was useless, and so, she just fell to her flanks, completely exhausted, and endured the spanking. After a few moments she decided to try a different tactic. If Running and fighting back was useless, perhaps diplomacy would work.
"So, why are you doing this? Have I ever done something to you? Or perhaps you want me to do something?" No response. Dash looked back and saw the stallion circulating her, stopping to hit her every two or three seconds. Rainbow Dash looked into his eyes. They were nearly completely white, his pupils almost disappearing inside his head.
"C'mon, stop this, I'm begging you!" The black-clothed pony continued to strike, ignoring her pleads for mercy. Dash sighed.
"I'll go crazy for real at this rate!" For what felt like ages, Dash just sat there, looking down, Most of her hope abandoned, until she remembered somepony that would believe her.
"Of course! Zecora! She is going to believe in me!" And so, dash took flight and head on to the Everfree Forest, looking for her last hope.
Except for the stalker, the trip to Everfree Forest was quite tranquil, as no kind of monster or dangerous creature was found, and before too long, she found herself in front of the hut of the zebra shaman. As soon as Dash opened the door, she found Zecora brewing something on her cauldron.
"Zecora, I need your help! Some weird pony with a spoon is following me!"
"If what you say is true, then the Ginosaji is after you." For the first time in the day, Rainbow Dash was relieved. Happiness and hope were stamped on her face, she had finally found somepony who believed her and could help her. The joy, however, wouldn't last much longer.
"Once the Ginosaji has set his eyes in you, he won't stop until you've became glue. To the ends of Equestria you will followed, until by the wraith of his spoon you are swallowed." And with those cruel but honest words, a look of complete terror took control of Dash face.
"Are you trying to say that…"
"You're doomed!" As soon as those words left Zecora's mouth, something hit Rainbow Dash wide open mouth, breaking one tooth on the process. As soon as Dash recovered, she looked to her side and saw that Ginosaji had once again appeared. Dash took flight at top speed out of the zebra's house, with her pursuer holding fiercely into her hind leg.
"It can't be true, it can't be true, it can't be true, it can't be true, it can't be true!" Dash repeated to herself, with both her hope and sanity being quickly depleted.
Looking up to the sky from between the trees, Rainbow Dash realized that the rain had stopped completely by then, and the position of the sun indicated that it was already late morning.
"Applejack must be waiting for me… Maybe she can think about something!" With her last hopes placed on her friend, Dash changed her course to Sweet Apple Acres.
As soon as she reached the farmhouse, Rainbow Dash found Applejack waiting for her.
"Ah already know everythin' sugarcube, ya gotta run!
"You Know? But how?"
"No time for explainin', ya gotta take the truck!"
"Truck? What are you talking about? You have no truck! Uh? What – the – hay?"
Rainbow Dash mouth went wide open as she noticed a pink pickup truck with a cardboard cutout of Twilight Sparkle on the truck bed right beside her.
"A-a-a-applejack, where the hay did you took this from?"
"It's a present from a pony called Spider Man!" Applejack said as she grabbed Dash by her tail and threw her inside the truck.
"Now, go!" Still not sure of what was going on, Rainbow Dash stepped on the accelerator and started to drive down the road that lead back to Ponyville. Less than one minute later, Ginosaji appeared on the road in front of the truck. Dash stepped on the accelerator even harder. The truck hit the pursuer, throwing him over the vehicle. Dash looked through the rear-view mirror, expecting to view Ginosaji lying in the road behind her, but saw nothing.
While Dash wondered where he went, she almost lost control of the truck as something hit her left eye. Looking to her left, she saw that Ginosaji was apparently on top of the truck, with his head and hoof hanging down. He continued to attack, while Dash tried to detain the strikes with her left hoof, but didn't last long until she lost control of the truck and went out of the road, hitting an apple tree immediately after. The truck exploded.
Dash finally recovered conscience. She was still inside the truck and her whole body hurt, but she was still alive somehow. Using all her strength, Rainbow Dash dragged herself out of the truck, falling down on the outside, panting. Looking up, she saw Ginosaji staring into her eyes, his spoon was blacked due to the explosion. The bowl of the spoon fell off. If Dash still had energy, she would cheer like she never had before. It was finally over.
Ginosaji allowed the spoon to fall and proceeded to open the zipper on his hoodie, revealing dozens of spoons attached to a black shirt. A expression of total terror invaded Dash face as she could only observe as Ginosaji took one of his spoons and proceed to hit her.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Dash shouted as she raised from her bed in her cloud castle. She panted for a few moments, before realizing that it was all a nightmare. Finally calming herself, Rainbow Dash let out a sigh of relief, before looking through the window of her bedroom and saw that it had already dawned. She was late.
Dash flew to Sweet Apple Acres as quick as her wings could carry her, and found Applejack in front of the farmhouse.
"Gosh darn it Rainbow Dash! Y're supposed to be here two hours ago!"
"Sorry Applejack, I overslept." Dash said, panting. Applejack sighed.
"Well, ah s'pose the important is that y're here now. So, did ya had breakfast yet?"
With the mention of breakfast, Dash stomach growled. She didn't realized that she was so hungry until now.
"Well, ah s'pose this answers my question! Come in!" Applejack said as she headed inside, Rainbow Dash followed her without questioning.
In the kitchen of the apple house there was still food, probably leftovers from the breakfast, Dash taught. Dash started eating without ceremony and started to fill a cup with tea.
"Need ah spoon to add sugar?" Applejack asked holding a spoon on her right hoof.
Upon seeing the silvery instrument on her friend's hoof, Rainbow Dash went into panic.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Dash shouted as she jumped out of the chair she was sitting on and dashed out of the building, leaving a confused Applejack behind.
"What in tarnation was that!?"
