It was late at night in a cloudsdale hotel. And the wonderbolts had just come back from a party. Misty was obviously drunk, needing Spitfire’s help to even stand. Rapidfire and Storm were just quiet, both of them half ashamed and half proud of what they did in the janitor’s closet. Fleetfoot was wrapped around the third stallion she had hooked up with that week. Soarin was walking with the quiet group, feeling depressed. “Hey, what’s got your tail in a twist?” Spitfire asked Soarin.
“I don’t have a fillyfriend” Soarin mumbled.
“You don’t have a what?”
“I don’t have a fillyfriend” Soarin admitted.
“What’s wrong about that?” Spitfire had a puzzled look on her face. She had known Soarin since they were foals, and she just learned about this predicament?
“Look at you guys, you’ve got an awesome coltfriend waiting for you in your suite, Misty wants to stay single, Fleetfoot goes after any stallion she can get her hooves around, and Rapid and Storm know what they did, they didn’t lose their flight suits accidentally” Soarin felt his voice raise in anger.
“But you were surrounded by mares at the party” Spitfire put in.
“They wouldn’t give a buck about me if I wasn’t a wonderbolt,” Soarin grumbled “Can I just go into my suite? I wanna be alone” Soarin opened the door and walked into his room.
“You’re not going to get any mares slamming the door on me like that!” Spitfire called after him, her voice mixed in with Misty’s slurred singing.
Soarin laid down on his bed and removed his flight suit. He then noticed the singing voice coming from his bathroom. He got up and peered into his bathroom and his face became a bright red. Who is she? He thought, feeling his heart race faster than himself trying get to the last slice of apple pie. He was staring at a cream colored mare, with a long, pink mane and tail, Her adorable cutie mark resembled three butterflies. The mare turned around, saw Soarin, and dropped the bucket she was using to clean the bathtub. “Oh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t know you came in, I’ll just go now” The mare’s words were so fast and so hushed, Soarin couldn’t make out the words. The mare flew out of the bathroom and out of the door, only to have Soarin grab her tail. He spat it out and asked
“Where are you going in such a rush?”
“Oh, umm. Back home, why?” the mare said.
“Because I want you to stay a little longer” Soarin said with a grin. The mare’s face became a bright red. “What’s your name?” he asked.
“My name is Fluttershy”

Soarin could not believe his eyes. Such a beautiful mare, in his suite! Celestia herself must have sent him Fluttershy as a gift, surely she has stallions following her everywhere. Soarin heard wedding bells ring so loudly, he collapsed. "Oh dear, oh, goodness! are you alright?" Fluttershy sounded genuinely concerned about him. What a wonderful sense of kindness! Soarin thought.
"I'm... I'm fine, are you okay?" Soarin asked. Fluttershy smiled as she helped him up. As he finally regained his ability to stand up, Soarin walked over to the refrigerator and opened it. He pulled out two bottles of alcoholic cider and dropped them at Fluttershy's hooves. "Want one?" Soarin asked, a goofy, lovestruck grin spread across his face.
"Oh no, I couldn't!" Fluttershy said, pushing the bottles away. Soarin shrugged and put them away. He grabbed a board game out of the complementary stack of them the owner of the hotel left in his room. "Wanna play?" Soarin asked, and Fluttershy nodded. The two spent an hour playing the game, that Fluttershy won, laughing despite the moans and the bed shaking coming from Fleetfoot's suite above. Soarin got tired, so he hopped onto his bed and said
"come on over" not trying to sound seductive, and just wanting to talk with Fluttershy, but did anyways
Fluttershy's face turned a bright red as she started to undress. "WAIT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Soarin shouted.
"OhmygoodnessI'msosorryIthoughtyouwantedsomethingelseI'lljustgonow!" Fluttershy spit out the words so fast Soarin couldn't figure out what she was saying, Fluttershy pulled her uniform back on and grabbed her cleaning supplies and stood outside the door " I really enjoyed tonight, and I do like you, but it won't work, your super famous and I'm just Fluttershy" Fluttershy took the time to say as she flew out the door and into the hotel's long hallway. Soarin leaped out of bed as he ran to catch up with Fluttershy, only to see her standing at the elevator, talking to someone. Soarin hid in the staircase, listening to Fluttershy's conversation with another maid.
"You got to meet Soarin! SO AWESOME! I accidentally walked in on Fleetfoot, and she asked me to get her a new condom! your so lucky!"
That voice, it's so familar, where have I heard it before? Soarin thought, he turned ever so slightly and saw a one- of- a- kind rainbow colored tail. It was Rainbow Dash!
