Dead MemoriesCHAPTER 1

Topis: PHOTOGRAPHS are memories

There I stood, Twilight and the rest of the gang singing to me "Happy Birthday" I stood in front of my jem cake, the candle still burned into my eyes. I memorized it. Rarity leaned over and kissed my cheek "Happy Birthday, Shorty Spikey" she said. "It's just   Spike" I muffled. She didn't hear me. "Yeah, SHORTY worty" said Applejack tauntingly in Rarity's face. I hated being called Shorty, then I didn't know it just meant the 6 cared about me. I blew out my candles, and silently wished for no one to ever call me shorty again.

I put the picture down in the dirt lightly. I rubbed over Rarity's face. "I'm sorry" i murmered through the clogging choking caused by my tears. Sorry wasn't enough, I knew it. I made a big mistake, but now I couldn't fix i. I was in the unmapped parts of the Evergreen Forest, and today was my birthday, and I spent it cold and alone with only memories that remained by my side. The picture was all I had left of the life I used to live.

I began to eat berries I had picked earlier that day. Using my claw I drew a cake and put berries on top. I then recreated me and Rarity's old conversation "Happy Birthday, Shorty!" I murmered "Thank you Rarity" I choked. I blew the berries out wishing for my old life again. I ate some of the berries and fell asleep against my cave. My dreams were those of another life, when I hadn't messed it all up.

Rarity giggled as I ate the entire cookie at the Bubbletown fair. We walked down the busy fair aisles. We were alone. I smiled at her "Want me to win you a stuffed pony?" I asked. She giggled "If you can". I gave the man at the purple and white striped tent a quarter and threw one of the balls to the pins not knocking any pin down. I took the second ball and threw it at the pins, missing. I took the last ball, leaned back and threw it knocking down all three pins. I took down a stuffed pony and gave it to Rarity. She giggled and kissed me on the cheek./i]

I awoke in the darkness of the forest, snow lining my nose in a tickilish way. My tears were frozen onto my face, as I pushed the icicles off of my eyes I heard a howling. My eyes opened wide and I screamed. My memories were alive.
