Introduction
I got up out of my bed; like everyday, same thing as always, nothing much to do in the morning; get up, brush my teeth, eat my morning meal. There is never really anything going on in the world, so excitement is hard to get nowadays, since my father passed away just about a week and a half ago.
Ever since my mother abandoned us a couple of years ago, I decided to keep looking after him every hour of everyday, giving him what he needs; food, drinks, I even went out to the shop for him. My mother left when I was only thirteen-years-old, after that, I had decided to get a job at that age to pay our rent and other taxes.
My life hasn’t been good in the past nine years, but it was bearable at least; now I am on my own in my father’s home, with nothing to do.
I went down the main stairwell after I got my average cheap clothing on and took a shower, brushed my teeth, done all that. Anyway, I went down the stairs to sit down in my only recliner in the house, switching on the television to watch the international news channel: Sky News. There was nothing interesting on the news. However, I just found out that there was a great tsunami in Japan after an apparent earthquake hit the coast. It was pretty shocking; It was sad, but I had more important things to do.
I was just about to switch off the television when I began to notice a strange light cascading from the front windows into the main living area; it intrigued me. I work at a local office in the centre of town, I get paid minimum wage, but it is my job and I appreciate that they took me in after one of their previous staff got fired for stealing money.
I was originally planning to switch off the television and then going to grab my pre-prepared briefcase for work, but after I noticed this odd light, I just had to check it out. I forgot about being on schedule to get to work, but being distracted is a pain in the ass.
I left the front entrance; locking the door behind me. I began to wonder around the whole block to check on the source of the light, it may have been either a car, or just myself being crazy. I kept going around the block from what I remember was about three times; until I noticed a light emerging from the main alley in the street block. I stood there, staring at the light for approximately five seconds as I hesitated to move. Suddenly, the light went at a very fast speed towards my home.
Oh God, what is it going to do? My house could blow up! I began to thought as I run after the paranormal light; I was running as fast as I ever could. As the light entered the front window of my now empty house, I was about twenty metres away.
When I finally reached the front entrance; I immediately began to open it, dropping my keys several times in the process. Alas, as I open the door (almost breaking it in) I began to run into the main living area. As nothing was there, I was baffled at the site of my front room just the same without the lights on.
After about five minutes of just standing in my main living area looking confused; I heard a noise (almost like a rustle) coming from my small dining area.
What the hell was that... I thought to myself as I grabbed something from the kitchen, it was a butcher’s knife. As I stayed close to the walls; knife at my grasp. As I began to hear was I presume were footsteps on the floorboard of the dining area, I began to panic. As I was about to literally throw the knife at the source of footsteps, a figure emerged from the other entrance of the dining area. I was shocked at the magnificent sight.
What I saw, it was phenomenal, a horse, a white horse, about six foot high; quite short for a horse however. Anyway, it was just out of the ordinary. From what I could see (which surprised me the most) is that it had a horn; not just a horn, but a set of large wings. I had also noticed that it’s hair and tail were not just long and a lot, but also flowing; defying the laws of physics itself!
Good God...Why is there a white horse in my home! I exclaimed in my head as I managed to drop the knife in my grasp, almost hitting me in the foot.
As soon as the knife hit the ground, I panicked. I hesitated and began to stay completely still has the large extraordinary horse looked at me with it’s extra large eyes, I didn’t manage to move for a whole thirty seconds until something even more confusing happened.
“Good day Stephen” The white figure greeted me as it turned to me. It can talk! I noticed it had a feminine voice as well, strange. It began to walk towards me, I kept as still as possible, “Don’t fear, I’m not here to hurt you at all Stephen, I am here to talk to you”
I just stood there, beginning to tremble with fear. The last thing I expected was to fall to the ground, unconscious. Well...I did. I was wondering what it would have done with me. Since with me being unconscious, I had no idea what was going on around me.
I had finally woken up after one hour; I was thinking all of what happened was a dream, but I was wrong when I saw the horse staring at me in the face with it’s oversized eyes. Immediately, I backed into the wall behind me, cowering with fear.
“Stephen, do not be alarmed, I am here to help you” It announced to me with a nice and smooth tone, “I am not wishing to hurt you”
I still kept my distance away from it as far as I could until I had finally decided to give up after about five minutes of it trying to calm me down. “Okay...I give up; who are you, or what are you?”
It came close to me, really close and sat down next to me, I noticed it was wearing armour, or clothing as you will, but it was all golden, making my main living area glimmer without any lighting on. I was amazed at the sight.
“My name is Princess Celestia, or ‘Celestia’ if you will; I am the ruler of the wonderful country Equestria, on a planet in another reality.” She began to actually tell me about who she was and what she did, “I sensed something a few hours ago and I came to make you an offer”
“Uhh...What?”
I finally managed to slip out of consciousness in the process, leaving me alone in my home, at least I think.
