It was a perfect day for simply sitting under the sun, but Fluttershy had animals to take care of and chickens to feed. As the yellow pony was feeding the chickens, enjoying the warm sunshine after a long week of rain, Fluttershy heard the sound of wings, to large to be any of the birds that usually stay around her home. Fluttershy looked up to see Rainbow Dash flying over to her. The usually cheerful and competitive pony had dark bags under her eyes, her bright rainbow mane was dirty and tangled, her expression was of excitement, but a bit menacing. "Hi Rainbow" Fluttershy said as Dash landed. "Hey Fluttershy, I was wondering if you could help me with Tank." "Oh, of course Rainbow, I'm always willing to help a animal in need." She said with a passionate look on her face. "Great, Come over in a bit. I gotta go now, see ya!" Fluttershy waved goodbye to her friend and began to start on her list of chores. Feeding the chickens, birds, and other animals, helping a little frog find it's way back home, telling a squirrel to come back for a check up in a few days, and so on. When she had finished her chores for the day, despite her awful cold, Fluttershy began her walk through Ponyville that would bring her to Rainbow's home. Nearing the market Fluttershy ran into Twilight Sparkle, the town's librarian and Celestia's own apprentice. "Oh, hello Fluttershy." "H-hi Twilight." "How are you today?" The smiling unicorn asked. "Oh, fine. How about you?" "Great, but I've been so caught up in my studies lately I haven't had time to hang out with everypony." the lavender mare replied. "It has been a while since we last had a nice chat." Fluttershy added "Oh, my, I should g-go and see what Rainbow and Tank needed help with, I don't want to keep them waiting any longer." Fluttershy said, quickly saying bye to Twilight and trotted the rest of the way to her destination. When Fluttershy reached Dash's house, she was out of breath and was greeted by a smiling multicolored pony. "Hey there Fluttershy! I'm really glad you could make it, thanks for coming over." Rainbow Dash said, who was beaming with excitement. "Anything to help a animal i-" Fluttershy began to reply before a bout of sneezes over came her. Rainbow ran inside and returned with a light yellow cloth, handing it to the shy pony. After Fluttershy had wiped her nose with it, she began feeling drowsy. Her vision seemed to be shaded with a tint of black and her mind seemed to be slowing down. "Oh, m..." Was all she could manage to say before collapsing. Fluttershy awoke to find herself unable to move. The light yellow pegasus wondered where she was for a few moments before she groggily recalled the last few moments before she fell unconscious. "Ra..Rainbow?" The light yellow pegasus said to the darkness that enveloped the room. She found that she was on a what seemed like a wall, slightly inclined. Feeling a plate protruding from the wall underneath her back hooves, she realized this was to keep her from slipping off the inclined wall. Fluttershy tried to pull her front hoof forward but yelped as she felt the chain that was restraining her to the hard surface, which each of her hooves seemed to be held by a length of it making her front and back legs form a sort of X. Her wings, as far as she could tell, were going through a hole in the back of whatever she was strapped to, exposing most of her back. As her brain was waking up, her eyes adjusted to see the outline of a table and many, oddly shaped objects on it. The restrained pony could suddenly see as the lights were turned on to reveal a medium sized room, the walls seemed to be made of concrete. The surface she was strapped turned out  "Good to see your finally awake!" Rainbow said. "Rainbow whats going on?" Fluttershy said a bit scared. "I'm not one of those ponies to talk and talk and take foreeeveeer to get to the point so let's make this quick. I wanted the perfect pet so I searched around, then a idea came to me, why don't I make the perfect pet? One that can fly almost as fast as me! One that fits in, has style, smarts, and so much more!" The excited Rainbow maned pegasus said. "Rai-" Fluttershy stopped mid-sentence when she noticed her surroundings. Animals, of all kinds, were on the table, mutilated. Many of them had body parts switched for another animal's or just missing. Each collars with names on them as well as a varying pair wings of some creature, sloppily sewn onto some part of them. "Rainbow, what is this?" The shaking pegasus asked, tears streaming down her face at the sight of so many animals she had loved and cared for, now gone into the oblivion that was death. "These are the failures." Rainbow said as she gestured to the table. She picked up the deformed Tank, his shell missing to be replaced with wings that might have come from a blue bird. Fluttershy stared at the unfortunate tortoise in shock. "Rainbow, h-how could you do th-this? How? How...?" Fluttershy said repeatedly. Turning around again the put Tank back on the table, the crazed mare replied, "The perfect pet! You see, you'll fit in, you'll be just like every other pony, you'll be perfect. And the best thing is," Dash shot a glance at Fluttershy. "You'll be mine!" Rainbow Dash walked over to the corner of the room, heading towards an object Fluttershy hadn't noticed. The fluttering of wings could be heard from the dome shaped object, which appeared to be covered in a dark cloth shaking slightly from the movement within it. Fluttershy could only guess what the unfortunate animal was. Rainbow pulled off the cloth to reveal a frenzied eagle. Its beak was taped shut with a black tape as well as its talons. Fluttershy gasped as she saw one of her beloved animal friends in such a state. Fluttershy looked up to see the cyan pegasus she once called her friend flying towards her. Taking a closer look at her, Fluttershy saw that Rainbow's mane was messier than last time, her eyes had a deranged look and her expression was of pure insanity. "Rainbow Dash.... Let him go right now, you, You MONSTER!" Fluttershy had built up so much rage that she gave Dash her legendary stare, but Fluttershy's outburst had no affect on the rainbow mare. "Fluttershy, if you tense up so much, it'll only make the operation more painful for you." Dash said. She was getting bored with talking about it and brought out a large, dark gray metal box that looked very heavy and, pushed it near Fluttershy. "Op-operation?" Fluttershy said shakily. "Shy, didn't you hear a word I said? Your going to be the perfect pet! And all it takes are a few, adjustments." The yellow mare, looking at Rainbow for a few moments with despair, suddenly smiled as she came to a realization that she believed with all her heart. "Th-this is all a joke, right? The animals are fa-fake, right? Right?" "Sorry Shy, but it ain't." Fluttershy could only stare bewildered at the mare. The two ponies stared each other down for a while in complete silence before Fluttershy muttered, "S-somepony will come looking for me you know, Twilight and Applejack will find me. A-and my animals can't look after themselves, Rainbow, you have to let me go ba-back and look after my animals." Fluttershy began to panic panic.  "Oh Fluttershy, there are other ponies to look after your animals. And I have plenty of time to make you into the perfect pet before they start looking for you." "No.. Rainbow please!" "Aw, cheer up Shy, it won't be that bad. But anyway, enough chitchat, lets get started." Rainbow Dash opened the metal case to reveal a set of surgical tools, all seeming to be well taken care of with each having there own place in the toolbox. Rainbow selected a hack saw and slung a few makeshift bandages, from a small table near Fluttershy, over her back and  walked behind Fluttershy. "Rai-Rainbow, w-what are you going to do?" The shaking pegasus inquired. Rainbow didn't answer, instead placed the hack saw on Fluttershy's left wing. "Rainbow Dash n-" Fluttershy's yelling was interrupted by the saw cleanly cutting through her skin, and soon the bone of the wing, spraying blood on Rainbow and the wall near her. Fluttershy screamed in agony as her wing was thrown onto the small table. Placing the saw on the ground, Rainbow hurriedly patched up the wound and moved onto the next wing. Fluttershy knowing what would happen folded her wing as close as she could to her back. " Fluttershy, don't tense up your wing like that or I'll have to make it more painful." "St-stop." Fluttershy whimpered between sobs. After picking the hacksaw up, Rainbow pulled back the light yellow pony's wing forcefully. The pain from the loss of her wing and the discovery about one of her closest friends was too much for the broken pegasus to bear. She released her bowels and passed out. When she awoke, she thought of the terribly dream she had had and tried to brush it from her mind, only to open her eyes and see that her nightmare was her current reality. Fluttershy turned her head to the left to see Rainbow Dash throwing a needle of some sorts into a bucket near the wall. "Shy, you'll need to stay awake for this whole thing if you want to be my pet." Fluttershy realized her other wing was missing and in it's place was a rough, fabric to substitute a bandage, which didn't seem to be working very well to stop the bleeding, which stained her back a dark crimson. "Now Fluttershy, do what I say and it'll be over in a 20 seconds flat." Fluttershy continued to whimper in pain and fear, hoping she could at least have a quick death. "Ra-R-Rainb-bow, What, are you g-going to d-do?" Fluttershy said weakly. Rainbow didn't answer and moved to the front of the wingless pony. "Hmm... Oh! I know the perfect thing!" Rainbow landed next to the tool box and reached in, leaving Fluttershy who could only prepare for the next round of decapitation. "So-somepony, Help." The mare said, losing hope. The cyan pegasus pulled out a pair of stainless steel scissors "Don't move, this is really important, plus, it'll definitely look amazing!" Rainbow started getting giddy with excitement. The insane pegasus grinned as she pressed the steel scissors against Fluttershy's snout and started cutting away. The sensitive flesh being cut was horrible enough to make the bleeding mare want to scream as loud as she could, but she knew that it would result in her tongue being cut, ruining any possibility of talking as well. Fluttershy began sobbing while trying not to move to much, hoping to save herself from some of the pain that enveloped her. "Quit crying Fluttershy. You'll only make yourself tired, and it's practically impossible to work with a pony that keeps dozing off. Now hold still!" Rainbow Dash barked. Fluttershy tried to stop sobbing, letting out a few every now and then. Quickly bandaging the bleeding pony Rainbow hovered over to the cage that contained the eagle, making Fluttershy gasp and wonder once more what fate awaited the poor animal. "Rafo... Lef ei go!" Fluttershy said, blinded by tears she couldn't wipe away. "Fluttershy, I don't think you understand, this is for the greater coolness of both of us!" Fluttershy could only watch and sob louder while Rainbow dragged the cage closer to her case of terrible tools. Pulling out the hacksaw she faced the eagle. The rainbow maned pony proceeded to unlock the cage, while the bird in it's bindings couldn't do anything to fend her off.  "Rafow dah huw cou you?!" Tears were poring down her face and into her poorly patched up wound, she could do nothing to help the animal she wished so deeply she could save from this living hell. When the animal was deprived of it's two main tools for survival and bleeding badly from the open wounds, Rainbow Dash tossed the near-dead bird to the side. Putting away her bloody tools, she grabbed the eagle's wings on the small table along with a needle and medical stitches balancing the stitches on her back. "Rafow... Leas..." "Oh Fluttershy, soon  you'll be the perfect pet! We'll be the greatest flyers out there! Just like the Wonderbolts!" Rainbow replied, talking with the needle she held in her mouth. The now bloodied and pale mare shook her head slightly, with whatever energy she had left. "Fluttershy," Rainbow said, her eyes looking a bit sad for a moment only to instantly replace it with anger. "Why won't you accept that your going to be the most awesome pet that ever lived?" Rainbow didn't wait for Fluttershy to say anything and moved to the back of the crying mare. Steadying the needle she held, Rainbow began sewing the now deceased eagle's wings where Fluttershy's used to be. Fluttershy screamed in pain, whatever energy left spent on the outburst. The mare could only snuffle, moan, and groan as the torture went on with the second wing being installed. Coming to the conclusion that whatever Rainbow Dash had injected into her prevented her from fainting, Fluttershy tried her best to block out the pain. "There! Now your a step closer to being almost as awesomely cool as me!" Dash moved to the front of the pale pony. Closing her eyes, Fluttershy braced herself for the nest part of the demented surgery. As blood was beginning to dry around Fluttershy's mouth, but still bleeding heavily, she gasped as her head was jerked straight forward. "Fluttershy... How'd this happen to you?! Fluttershy! Come on, talk to me!" "Haes... soh.." Fluttershy replied, barely a whisper. "Fluttershy! How are you so stupid to not want to be the best pet that ever lived?" The cyan mare said slightly angry. "Na.." Rainbow Dash suddenly flapped her wings and got in Fluttershy's face angrily. "You're not strong enough or cool enough to be my pet! Why did I have to pick you, I'm so stupid!" Rainbow yelled and covered her face with her hooves. Seconds passed, and Dash slowly lifted up her head. "No, no it's not my fault. It's yours. It's all your fault you stupid, weak, bucking bitch!" Rainbow spat. Suddenly, the blue pegasus fell into a heap on the ground, silent. Fluttershy, still barely conscious, struggled against her binds faintly. The multicolored heap on the ground started laughing. A low, quiet giggle at first, but crescendoing to a booming, maniacal howl. With a grin, Rainbow Dash excitedly flew back "No, I picked you for one purpose. You're an element of Harmony! You have power! How totally cool is that!" Dash beamed. Rainbow Dash moved toward the yellow mare, picking up the eagle's beak that she had left on the table earlier. "Were almost done Shy, so let's get this over with already!" Opening her toolbox, she took out a drill and carefully made small delicate holes in the edge of the beak. Grabbing the needle and thread that she had dropped, she moved towards the yellow pony. Rainbow tilted and straightened Fluttershy's head with her hoof holding the eagle's beak. "Now hold still and keep your head up and don't move your mouth or anything, got it?" Not waiting for a response, Rainbow stood on her hind legs, using her wings to help balance herself, and placed the eagle beak on Shy's mouth. Carefully guiding the needle to the small holes, she connected beak to skin. When Rainbow Dash was concluded her demented surgery, she said to Fluttershy, who was now mutilated, bloody, and trembling, "Your the perfect pet now Fluttershy! The best, most awesomenest thing ever! Except me, of course." Fluttershy only responded by dropping her head down. The timid mare, faintly believing this was all a dream and she would wake up any moment, knew deep in her mind that this was reality and there was no hope for escape. "Aw, come on Fluttershy, cheer up!" Rainbow said as she freed Fluttershy from her bindings. Fluttershy only made a small grunt in response. As Rainbow Dash untied the rest of the ropes restraining Fluttershy, the pink maned pony fell on the ground. Looking at Fluttershy for a moment, Rainbow told the shy mare, "Fluttershy, your not gonna be the coolest pet ever if you just lay on the ground all day." As Fluttershy lay there, small pools of blood began forming underneath her, her organs were beginning to shut down from the large blood-loss.  "Fluttershy, get up." Rainbow said, becoming enraged. When not a single movement came from the flutter-eagle, Rainbow began to hit the mare. "Get up Fluttershy! Get the buck up!" Fluttershy began to choke on her own blood as it clogged her throat. "You bucking failure! Your just like the rest of them! All failures you piece of shit! Why did you all have to fail me?!" Rainbow yelled at the fading abomination, as a single tear lead a river of them to spill from her rose colored eyes. Fluttershy couldn't breathe, her vision was spotted and dulling. The pain was slowly fading, and she knew that it was almost over. Fluttershy sighed as blackness took over her vision, freeing the mare from her nightmare as she ultimately died from blood-loss. Rainbow Dash stood next to Fluttershy, staring at the bloody mess she had created. "N-no! No no no! Y-you can st-still be my pet!" The lone mare stammered, before collapsing into the pool of blood that had come from her monstrous creation. Rainbow could only sob as her body convulsed and close her eyes. Minutes past, and as the mare cried she fully realized the deeds she had done and slowly opened her eyes. Barely above a whisper the rainbow mare choked out between sobs, "P-please... Don't le-leave me S-shy..."
