Resident Equestria: Outbreak
The light illuminates the stage, as a large red curtain opened to reveal a man wearing the costume of The Box Ghost. He looks directly into the crowd as he speaks.
“The following story contains blood, death, and widespread destruction. If you find any of those factors uncomfortable or sickening, then why the hell are you reading a Resident Evil story?” The author gives a wide smile. “As always, all rights go to their respective owners, and no copyright infringement is intended.”He scans the audience, making eye contact. “Please remember that this is a fictional tale, and is not to be overanalyzed and to be told to everyone in Equestria how scientifically unlikely it is.” His eye narrow. “That means you Twilight.” Grumbling can be heard from the front row. The man snaps his fingers, and the lights begin to dim. “And please, enjoy the- AUUUGGHH!!!!!” The writer runs off screaming like a little girl as a bolt of lightning strikes him in his hinny.
“BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Rainbow Dash, wearing her Shadowbolt costume, floats onto the stage atop a small storm cloud, laughing hysterically. Taking a few deep breaths to compose herself, Dash faces the crowd.
“Happy Halloween Everypony!” She says. “Enjoy the show!”

The chase continued, as they rounded building after burning building, neither one slowing their pace. He refused to allow the sharp pain in his side distract him.
He refused to slow down. He would not let her get away. Not when he was so close.
“Jace! Wait!” Someone was yelling from behind him. It was Twilight, but he didn’t care. She didn’t understand, none of them understood quite like him. Up ahead, he saw his target round a corner, making such a basic mistake in her haste to get away. Jace moved to cut her off, taking a shortcut by leaping over a small fence. She rounded the building just as he did, the two colliding with one another. Jace hurled the smaller woman against the alley corner. She hit her head against the wall as her body flailed for balance. Dazed, she collapsed to the ground, leaning against the wall as the world was blurry around her.
Jace took the shotgun slung over his shoulder, chambering a round.
“This ends now.” He took aim. Even in her disoriented state, the woman could see the barrel of the gun aimed strait at her head. She closed her eyes, and waited for the end.
Jace squeezed the trigger, and suddenly found himself airborne as the buckshot struck harmlessly into the wall next to the woman. The man suddenly found himself falling, as a pair of strong arms sent him crashing to the ground. His impact forced him to slack his grip, sending the shotgun skittering away. Jace leaped to his feet, throwing a punch at the hulking mass of desert camouflage that was attacking him. His opponent smoothly dodged the blow, and countered with a roundhouse kick. Jace ducked under the heavy boot, and tackled the man, sending them both rolling in the dirt as they kicked and punched one another. Jace stuck his leg between himself and his attacker, then he kicked outwards, rocking back on his spine as he launched the man over his head.
He scrambled to get upright, reaching a hand towards his waist and retrieving his pistol from its holster. As he brought it to bare on his enemy, he saw that he too was staring down the barrel of a gun.
The two men stared down one another for a few seconds, catching their breath. Twilight, Storm, and the others had arrived
“Put your gun down Jace,” The man said. “Whatever you’re thinking now isn’t the time!”
“How can you say that Spar?” Jace growled. “You should understand! You were there!”
“I was,” Spar replied calmly. “But I also know that there’s nothing we can do about it. Not now.”
“Bullshit!” Jace spat. “How many Spar? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands?! HOW MANY HAVE DIED BECAUSE OF THAT BITCH?!”

ORGANIZATIONS
BIOLOGICAL CONTAINMENT AGENCY (B.C.A.): As the threat of bio-terrorism has increased worldwide, the United States government saw it fit to found a Federal Agency with the sole purpose of countering biological threats within the Continental US. BCA Operatives help conduct investigations, as well as coordinate efforts with local law enforcement and on rare occasions, military forces to help suppress Bio-terror outbreaks. This role has been weakened, however, as the international anti-biological military, the BSAA, has had great success in stopping shipments of BOW’s to the Continental United States, as well as the American Governments refusal to share the details of the Raccoon City incident. Even so, the BCA is needed now more than ever as more and more BOW’s are appearing every day
CELESTIAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY (C.I.A.): The world of Equestria is one of peace and harmony. But it doesn’t stay that way on its own. The top of the line agents that work for her Majesty’s Secret Service do not work full time. They work as Teachers, musicians, police, anywhere in which they blend in society, their friends none the wiser of their other career: Protecting the citizens of Equestria. Whether it be taking down crime bosses, protecting VIP’s, or uncovering Changling infiltrators, the Operatives and A-Teams of the CIA are willing to do whatever it takes to keep their kingdom safe.
UMBRELLA BIOHAZARD CONTAINMENT SERVICE (U.B.C.S.): The Umbrella Corporation is one of the most careful in the world. But there is no such thing as too careful. When dealing in areas where dangerous toxins and viruses could yield any chance of BOW’s, the UBCS is on the scene. Hired from nations around the world, these mercenaries make up the backbone of Umbrella’s secret army, ready to take on any situation, so long as the price is right.
UMBRELLA SECURITY SERVICE (U.S.S.): Although the UBCS is capable of handling most situations in with force is required, sometimes you just need a little something extra. Comprised of no more than one hundred Operatives in total, the Security Service wing of Umbrella’s Outbreak Response Branch is made up entirely of former special forces soldiers, paid much more than the normal UBCS to secure their loyalty. Unlike the Corporation’s other military units, the USS is dedicated soley to making sure there is no evidence tying Umbrella to any “Incidents”. No one leaves the USS, those who do generally have a strange way of dying before they can reveal anything.
PERSONS OF NOTE
JACE PARTAIN: An individual who many consider to be either the luckiest or the unluckiest man alive, Jace is a former United States Marine who has managed to find his way into almost every hell-hole on earth and live to tell about it. Shortly after being discharged from the military, Jace landed a job at UBCS, where he would have his first and only mission trying to suppress the Raccoon City outbreak. After barley escaping with his life, he found himself employed at the newly formed BCA. After a few years of relative calm, a second outbreak in the large metropolitan city of Atlanta forced him back into the world of Biological terror. After suffering severe injuries during the incident, Jace has just recently been returned to work.
AMY BLARE: Some people say that luck is better than skill, but it never hurts to have both. Amy was just a normal cop in Atlanta, never heard of BOW’s in her life, but one day it was all turned upside down when terrorists unleashed the T-Virus in her city, she suddenly found herself in the frontline of a full biological battlefield. Her actions in that incident got her noticed by the Government, and finally hired by the BCA
STORM CHASER: There are many words that have been used to describe this Earth Pony: Treasure hunter, Archeologist, Hero, and Rival to the Great Daring Do herself. Born as the sole Earth Pony in a family of Unicorns and Pegasi, Storm made up for his plain body by sharpening his mind as well as his physical stature. His hard work finally paid off, when Princess Celestia appointed him as a Captain of an A-Team within the CIA. Though sometimes brash and impulsive, Storm would lay his life down in a heartbeat if it means saving the life of another.
FACT FINDER: One of the more vocal members of the Celestial Intelligence Agency, Fact is a detective from Manehattan who specializes in seemingly unsolvable crimes. After a very bold and dangerous chase through the city streets, the Unicorn was asked to join one of the CIA A-Teams, and has been performing flawlessly since. Although Fact can be very sarcastic, he knows when to be serious and when to joke around, leaving his team knowing that he’ll always have their backs.
“SPAR”: A former Special Forces soldier whose real name is so classified that it’s been forgotten by all but a few. With years of commando operations under his belt, Spar has seen combat on every continent, fighting numerous different enemies. After leaving the military, Spar and his team U.S.S. Operatives, deployed to Raccoon City with the mission to kill any survivors and destroy all evidence linking Umbrella to the outbreak. But when ordered to kill a rookie cop and take a little girl back to the Corporation for testing, the soldiers betrayed Umbrella, defecting to the US military and damning the Company. Spar and his team now work as mercenaries, specializing in Bio-organic warfare. Interestingly, Spar’s genetic code has been altered. How it happened or what the alteration entailed is known only to a select few, though everything super-human reflexes to an immunity to the T-Virus has been claimed.
“TEX”: Insanity is a very overused term, though in the case of Tex, it may not be a strong enough word. Considered a genius even at a young age, she became a certified Bio-chemical scientist. She exelled at the profession, and looked to become one of the heads of the Corporation she was working for, but that was before she met Spar. Tex unwittingly found herself in the middle of a warzone, “protected” by a squad of killer commandos. During her time with them, she developed very honed survival skills, as well as incredible marksmanship with a pistol. After a long period of not seeing each other, Tex has now found herself with Spar again, joining the Mercenary team as a field scientist.

I doubt any of us will ever forget it. It was the year of those grizzly murders in the Midwest. Soon, the small town of Raccoon City was almost entirely infected by the T-virus, a bio-organic weapon developed by the sinister Umbrella Corporation. Not wanting to take any chances, the President of the United States ordered a Nuclear Strike to Sterilize the area. Once several witnesses testified that it was indeed the Company’s fault, The US Government initiated an indefinite suspension of business to the corporation. Their stocks fell through the floor, and for all intents and purposes, Umbrella was finished. But the threat wasn’t. In one final act of defiance, the Company started selling their weapons to terrorist groups around the world. Just twelve years after Raccoon City, the Large Population Center of Atlanta was also hit with a T-virus outbreak. Though the outbreak was quickly suppressed, it proved that nowhere was safe from that kind of threat.
