Equine Sexual History: Apple Jack
Pre-Interview
Load Full StoryNext ChapterThis was the third time that Gale Wind had been to Sweet Apple Acres. Every time, the interview took place in a different way, with a different pony. Today it was a walk through the orchard. The pony in question, a blonde mare named Apple Jack, insisted that they do so. Walking the fields cleared her mind, and helped her be at ease. Gale knew the importance of flexibility in getting the sex history done accurately. Gale had his clip board with him, but it was moments like this that he wish he'd been born a unicorn.
"Here, sir, wear these boots. Them fancy loafers won't do you a lick a' good in the field. I'd hate them to get ruined, Sugarcube. Er, I mean, Sir."
"No need to call me sir." He looked at the hideous yellow galoshes, but he hesitated only a moment. "Thank you for the boots. I can leave my shoes over here?" He got a nod from Apple Jack and placed them just inside a barn. "Good. Now, as I was saying, you don't need to call me sir. Gale or Gale Wind will do fine. If it makes you feel comfortable, you can call me Doc."
"Why, that would be just plum dandy, Doc. I like that." Gale knew that many farm workers were uncomfortable with his work, but they did have a respect for doctors. He was right on the money with Apple Jack. The tan freckles on her face raised up as she smiled. With that sorted, they began their journey, heading West.
"So, how much were you informed about what I'm here to do?" He looked about him, admiring the trees. He knew enough to know that they ran a good farm at Sweet Apple Acres.
"Well, I'd say the Princess told me that it was gonna be about ya know, sex and all. She said it was real important. I mean, I don't know how it could be all that important to know about that. But Celestia is a real bright apple, so I trust her on it. Never steered this mare wrong, so I'll help ya out." Her words were a bit practiced. It showed her nervousness. Gale recognized this... it was shame. She might not have reason to be, then again she might not. Truth was, she was ashamed of something that might come up.
"The most important part of this is honesty. I'd rather you tell me nothing than a lie. But I hope you will be able to tell me everything that I ask."
She looked down at the pegasus, being an inch or two taller making it easy. "Are ya'll suggestin' I might be... a liar?" She crossed her arms to give herself a more serious manner.
:"Not at all. I say this to everypony. I also tell them about how their secrets are safe. I take down all the information in code. See, this is one of your fellow citizens here in Ponyville." He showed her a page from Fluttershy's interview. It was a sprawling mass of icons, shorthand, arrows and check marks.
"Well, I'll be. That does make me feel a good bit better, Doc." It showed. too. She knew she could look over that page for thirty minutes and not learn a single thing. She wondered how so many secrets would be kept. "And so, just ya'll at yer institute will know what we talk 'bout here?"
"That's right. Your secrets are safe."
She took a moment, thinking over her secrets. What so few people knew. Things that she hated about herself. Things she wished just weren't real. Perhaps it was time she got honest with one last person: herself.
"I think I'm ready, here. Why don't we get started?"
"First one is simple. What are the regions and cities you've lived in over your lifetime?"
