Beging: Rainbow Factory

A young red Pegasus was slowly breathing in and out. "Are you okay?" asked a blue filly with a messy purple,sky blue and red mane and tail. The red flying pony slowly looked at who was talking to her. "Yeah... Why do I seem nervous?" she asked. "Sorta..." the blue Pegasus paused, "I'm Music Clef. What's your name?" "I'm Spice." Spice answered. There was an awkward pause before somepony said anything else. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" Spice asked wondering if the rest of her family had a peculiar mane like hers. "Y- well... I used to... I've been living in an orphanage for a while now...so..." Music trailed off not wanting to say what happened. She looked down at her hoofs so she didn't have to see anypony.

Spice bit her lip. She didn't want to make somepony she just met uncomfortable. Spice decided not to say anything else when she saw tears in Music Clef's eyes. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" Music said quietly. Spice paused the answered, "Yes. I have a brother, but he disappeared... And i have a sister but she..." Spice stopped herself remembering the day her dear sister,her best friend, lost her wings. She thought her sister was going to die. Spice could barley keep up with the speed her sister was falling at. When Spice saw the ground getting closer she cried, she couldn't go fast enough. "Spice?" said a gentle voice. At first Spice thought it was her sister's. But then she realized where she was and realized it was Music's. Spice was on the floor with her hoofs over her eyes.

Spice slowly lifted her hoof. All the fillies and colts were looking at her. Spice froze. She assumed that she had a mental breakdown remembering her sister almost dieing. "Spice!" somepony yelled. Spice looked around Music Clef was gone. She had already passed her test. She must've just been called then... Spice thought walking toward the instructor. Spice then realized she had no idea what to do, the instructor must've explained while she had her breakdown.

All he said was, "Clear, fly, fall complete." Spice looked to the closest pegasus to her he just gave weak smile. She looked out across the sky. When she was ready to take off it sunk in that she had no idea what to do. But it was too late, she already started flying.

Panicking she instinctively stopped on a cloud. Without hesitation the judges pointed down. Spice felt her heart break. How could she not pay attention? How could she do this to her sister? Crying she looked towards the east gate. There stood a blue filly with a messy purple, sky blue and red mane looking sadly with big rose eyes. Spice looked at her own mane, grey. It seems darker when shes sad. Spice waited a few minutes at the west gate to see if anymore failed pegasi would come. When nopony showed up she cried even more. Spice only glanced at a sign that said 'Test Failees'. Her head dropped she slowly walked down the hall hopping she would be able to see her sister again.

Not knowing that no one escapes the Rainbow Factory.
