"Spike, where is the copy of that new Daring Do book?" Twilight asked. "It's Rainbow's turn to pick the book for today, but I can't find it anywhere!"
"Which one is that?" Spike asked from atop a large ladder leaning against an even larger bookshelf.
"Daring Do and the Emerald of Emaralios." Twilight answered, exasperated at the fact that she was unable to find the novel her rainbow-haired friend coveted.
"Well, I'm looking right at the rest of the Daring books, but I can't see it. Are you sure that it came in today?" Spike asked, not knowing where else the book could be.
"Yes! I know for a fact that it came in today! Maybe I didn't shelve it right?" Twilight replied, the question more to herself than Spike.
Suddenly, a book came flying through the air, landing directly in front of Twilight, startling her.
"AH!" Twilight yelled, jumping backwards from where the airborne volume had landed with a thud.
"Daring Do and the Emerald of Emaralios!" Said Pinkie Pie, who had suddenly found the missing tome and flung it towards her purple unicorn friend.
"Pinkie!" exclaimed Twilight. "How did you find that?! I looked everywhere for it!"
"It was under E!" answered the pink party pony, as if it should have been obvious.
"Great! Now that we have the book, we can get back to book club!" Twilight exclaimed, obviously overjoyed to be able to read once again.
Twilight levitated the book in front of her as she teleported herself, Spike, and Pinkie to a nearby field where the rest of their friends were waiting.
"Alright." said Twilight. "I've got the book. Now, we can get started."
"Finally!" said the rainbow-maned pegasus. "We've been waiting forever for you to find it."
"Daring Do and the Emerald of Emaralios," said Twilight, ignoring the comment from Rainbow Dash. "Chapter One: Daring Do was running through the forest, frantically trying to escape the monster hat was chasing her. She turned her head to look back, and almost fell off the edge of a cliff! Teetering over the edge, she grabbed a nearby tree branch to steady herself and prevent her from falling into the abyss; something that would certainly spell the end of her adventures. While trying to think of a way to get across, she heard a spine-chilling roar extremely close by in the forest behind her! She quickly looked to either side, and was disappointed in herself when she say what was not ten feet to her left: a bridge running across the chasm. As she ran to the bridge that would grant her safe passage across the gorge, she heard the terrifying creature roar again. She quickened her pace........", Twilight was interrupted by a sensation that tolled her that there was something strange above the group. As she looked up, she wasn't at all surprised by what she saw. She saw a stark-white pegasus falling back to the ground. This didn't surprise her in the least; seeing as though pegasi were known for being generally reckless. She figured that he would simply pull up before he hit the ground. But, then she noticed something that did startle her. His eyes were closed, and he appeared to be unconscious.
"Dash!" Twilight suddenly yelled, pointing upwards and startling the group. "Look up there!"
Rainbow Dash looked, and, without a word, took off to save the falling pegasus.

Falling. All I could feel was the sensation of falling. I opened my eyes, and I was extremely frightened by what I saw. I was plummeting to the ground below me. I opened my mouth to yell, but my mouth wouldn't open. I couldn't move; I couldn't scream; there was only one thing that I could do: what I promised myself would be the last thing I said before I died:
I thought to myself before I blacked out from the winds, "I'm a brony."
With my final wish completed, I took one last look at the world that was speeding towards me; and I smiled. The last thing that I saw before the darkness took me, was a rainbow blur speeding towards me.

Eventually, I began to slowly drift back to consciousness. The first thing I noticed was talking. I couldn't make out anything, but I heard talking. All I could hear was muffled mumbling, but at least I could here. I tried to move, and found that I could finally move again. While silently rejoicing, I was oblivious to the now fully comprehensible voices that were talking around me.
"Are you sure that he'll be okay?" one asked meekly. Because of the way she talked, I took her to be a shy person.
"Ah don't know, sugarcube." answered another in a soothing voice. She had a southern accent, and that just made her voice even more comforting. "But we can only hope that he'll be fine."
"I think that we should throw him a party as soon as he wakes up!" blurted out yet another voice. This one cheery and full of laughter. Judging from her outburst, I deduced that she was the resident welcoming comity. Also, I made a mental note to never let her have coffee. I don't know why I did; it just seemed like the safest thing to do.
At this point I blacked out again, this time from physical strain.
I awoke again, and managed to catch the end of the current sentence:
"...ouldn't tell the princesses about this. I really don't think this is a national emergency." said a voice. This one carried a lot of knowledge behind it, and I deemed her the local bookworm.
"Alright. Whatever." said another voice. This voice sounded like it came from someone who had just injured themselves, and was hating every moment of being forced to recuperate. "As long as he thanks me for saving him when he wakes up."
"Rainbow!" Exclaimed a voice. This one seemed very posh and regal, but not quite up-tight or snooty. I don't know why I did, but I declared her the local seamstress. "That is hardly a way to think about somepony who just nearly died!"
Rainbow? Anypony? Wait a second! Rainbow! Anypony!
My eyes shot open, and my upper body shot up so that I was know sitting upright. This earned a startled gasp from the collected group. Standing before me were six pastel colored ponies. Two with wings, two with horns, and two that looked like normal ponies; save for the colors.
"That wasn't I good idea." I managed to eek out before my world faded back into blackness from overexertion.
I should be someone else.
My name is Alec. I’ve always felt like I don’t belong in the world. I don’t feel like I’m actually living, like my whole life up till now has been a dream. My doctor told me it's just a side effect of my “hallucinations”. Oh, sorry. I should probably tell you what I’m talking about.
It all started about four months ago, when I first watched an episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Before I knew it, I’d watched the entire first season. That’s when they started. At first they were just little things; seeing Rarity out of the corner of my eye, hearing Rainbow Dash laugh, smelling Pinkie baking. Then the “blackouts” started. Everyone says they’re blackouts, but when they happen, I don't feel asleep. In fact, those were the only times I actually felt awake. I would always wake up in Equestria; not remembering how I got there, but that I was happy.
Now, back to the not feeling awake. Even though my doctor said it was just a side effect, I’ve always felt like this. He told me to just write down anything that happened, and since I don’t think I really need to, I’ve decided to turn this into a journal to show my life to anyone else who’s like me.
Dec. 8, 2011:
Today I saw something new. I saw Twilight, and she told me to follow her, and that there wasn’t much time left. I followed her, and she led me to something I can only describe as a portal to Equestria. She told me to go through, but I was to scared to go.
Dec. 9, 2011:
Twilight came again, this time with Apple Jack. Even though I came within inches of the portal that has since taken residence in my room, I still couldn’t bring myself to go.
Dec. 10,2011:
Another pony came through to bring me to Equestria, but this time it was Rainbow Dash. She begged and pleaded me to go, telling me that all of Equestria was in danger. At that moment, I ran as fast as I could for the portal: I had to save Equestria.
