I'm in position, over." "Copy, Stinger. We are entering the bunker now. Provide cover fire while we secure the area." "Roger. Try not to get yourself killed in there, Sparkler." "Copy that." The rest of the team entered the bunker. Our job was to secure the area and seize any weapons the DEA might have inside a bunker we found in the swamps. I was providing sniper cover on a ridge with my custom TAC-308 equipped with a  NV-5X thermal scope and armor piercing rounds. I call it "Pierce". Twilight Sparkle was leading the mission, as always. But hey, who could complain? She's a great leader and tactician. The only problem is that she is stubborn at times and never stops until the mission is done. "Stinger, do you anything on your scope?" I checked the radar. Nothing besides them. "Negative, Sparkler. I don't see anypony on radar." "Something's wrong. Where is everypony?" Then, I saw a group of ponies running towards the bunker. One of them was carrying something. I zoomed in on his hoof. It looked like a detonator. "Scratch that! Get out of there! NOW! A group of DEA soldiers are coming towards the bunker with a detonator! The bunker is rigged to blow!" "Copy that! Come on, everypony! Double time it! Let's move!" Minutes later, the team made it out except for one. It was Butterfly. But Sparkler calls her "Fluttershy". She was the kindest on the team. But she was also the slowest, most sensitive, and the least-experienced on the team. Which is why the team nominated her as the medic. But that doesn't change the fact that I have had a crush on her for some time now. I got onto my comm system. "Butterfly! Where are you!?" "I-I'm coming! I'm right outside t-the bunker!" Seconds after she got out of the bunker, the bomb went off, sending Fluttershy flying onto the ground. "Shit..." I flew to Fluttershy. Her back was burnt badly. She was crying. I tried to comfort her and got her medi kit. The smell of burning fur, flesh, and feathers is not exactly a good mix, not that any of them smelt good to begin with. I searched for bandages. Instead I found a photo of me inside the kit. Why was there a picture of me in her pack? Did she like me too? But I couldn't think about that right now. If I didn't bandage the wound soon, it could get infected. I put the picture in my saddlebag and found the bandages, along with some anti-bacterial cream. I rubbed the cream on her back and wrapped the bandages around her back and waist. "That should hold it for a bit." She turned to me and hugged me. Her cheeks were still wet. I wiped off the tears. The rest of the team walked up to us. "Is she ok?" "Yeah, she's fine." "Ok. So, anypony want to got after the DEA group who almost killed her?" I was already on it. I flew above the trees and in no time spotted the group running away from the bunker. I dove onto one of them, crushing his face with my hoof as I landed. I pulled out my rifle and finished them all except the one I stepped on and the squadron commander. I injured him badly though. I pulled out my pistol and shot the pony I dove on in the head. His head slumped over instantly. I walked up to the injured commander, who was trying to crawl away. I stepped on his wound, which made him stop and yell. I grabbed him by the neck and lifted him above the ground. "How did you know we were going to be here?" "I'll die before I tell you, Equestrian dog." "Great idea." I threw him on the ground and put a bullet in his head. As I walked past my team, I could tell they were scared. No pony has ever seen me like that. I could barely lift 45 pounds. How I could lift that pony up was a mystery, even to me. I guess my rage gave me strength. I heard Gemstone whisper, "I have never seen him like that. I wonder what's wrong with him?" I turned and said, "There's nothing wrong with me." They immediately stopped whispering and stared at me. I flew back to the ENS Celestia on my own, which was suicide, but I didn't care. //-------------------------------------------------------// Confessions //-------------------------------------------------------// Confessions "Confessions" 08:02 "Stinger" Mane 6 team ENS Celestia, Medical Wing UEAF "Identity scan required... Scan complete. Welcome, Warrant Officer Stinger." I was in the hospital wing of the ship. it was almost overflowed with patients. From small stuff like a cold or a few scratches to bigger and more severe stuff like missing limbs and broken bones. I was there to visit Butterfly, or Fluttershy as most of you would probably recognize. During one of our other missions, a team of DEA demolitionists blew up one of their abandoned bunkers right before she could get out. Her back's burned very badly. Celestia knows if she would ever be able to fly again. D-2... Where's the D hall? Oh wait, there it is. It took me a pretty long time, but after a while, I found a way to the D hall. She was in a medium-size bed next to a drawer. The drawer had some flowers with balloons attached to it. Some were plain colors while others had messages on it, mostly get well messages anyway. The D hall rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean. All rooms in the hospital wing were built on sort of a gyroscopic ball on the ship so the patients wouldn't fall out of their beds or get seasickness. A mare was sitting on a stool next to her bed. She had a white lab coat on with glasses. She appeared to be giving Butterfly a shot. She turned to me. "Am I interrupting anything?" I asked. "Not at all." said the mare in the lab coat. She turned back to Butterfly and said, "Ok. Now just take these shots twice a day and your back should heal very quickly." "Thank you." "Of course. Now, I'll let you talk with your friend there. Call me over if you need anything." She then left, leaving me alone with Butterfly. For a few seconds, it was quiet, but then I brought out the picture of me I found in her medi-pack. "Was there something you wanted to talk about?" she asked. "I came to give this back." I gave her the picture. She began to blush. "How did you get that?" "I found it in your medi-pack when you burned your back there. How's it feeling?" "It could be worse." "Good to hear." More silence. But I gained enough strength to do what I really came here for. "Hey, Butterfly. Do you like me?" She turned right towards me, seeming sort of both shocked and flattered. She didn't say anything at first. All she did was look out the window to look at the passing waves. But finally, she answered, "Yes, I do." I couldn't believe it. For once, a mare I liked liked me too! Happy day! "R-really?" "Oh yes. Ever since I first saw you at the UEAF recruitment camp near Manehatten." "Wow..." Then, the intercom picked up a voice. It was the commanding officer and third-in-command of the UEAF, Shining Armor. His codename is Gleaming Bullet. "Warrant Officer Stinger. Please report to the bridge." "I guess I should go see him." I looked at Butterfly, who was staring at me. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll let you rest now. I'll drop by later today, ok?" I was just about to walk out the door when something grabs my hoof. A chill ran up my spine. I turned back to see Butterfly holding my hoof. Her beautiful, slim pink mane covered her left eye, leaving only one eye visible and complimenting her shy personality. I loved that about her. I felt like I melted. That's when I realized that she was out of her bed. I immediately jumped and walked her back to the bed. "Don't do that to me, Butterfly. You scared the hell outta me! Now come on. You can't be out of your bed yet." "I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to go." "I"ll stop by later. We can talk more then. Ok, Butterfly?" "Ok. And, it's Fluttershy." "Facial scan required. Insert face into scan area." I placed my face on the scanning panel. A green line went up and down. But it didn't irritate my eyes. Blinking will mess up the scan. There was a incident where one of the soldiers accidentally blinked, which made the scan incomplete and faulty. The automated defense system opened fire on him. I'm sure you know what happened after that. "Facial scan complete. Acces granted." The door slid open. Fleet Admiral Shining Armor was talking with the rest of my team. I saluted. Shining Armor saluted back. " As I was saying, the Black Sea fleet has reported being ambushed by a squadron of DEA helis and IDAV Hydras." "But how in tarnation did they get that kind of technology? They're pretty outdated when it comes to war tech." said Bucker. "I'm not sure. But Bucker, you're the team engineer, am I right?" "Yes siree." "Ok, good. After you land on the ship, you and the ship engineers will repair the automated anti-aircraft launchers. That will give us a huge advantage over the DEA." Something popped in my head. "But sir, what about DEA soldiers that are already onboard?" "You're the Mane 6 team right? Surprise me." "Yes, sir!" "They have requested backup. But all units in the area are either engaging DEA scouts or dead. I want you all to assist Rear Admiral Babs Seed long enough for our URVs to transport the survivors out of harm's way." Sparkler spoke up. "Consider it done, sir." "Very good. You will deployed in 60 minutes. Dismissed." Barracks My squad mates were on their bunks, preparing for the mission. Rainboom was already suited and was on her phone, listening to music. I was putting on my helmet, which contained a picture of my family inside, when I spotted a note on my bunk. It had three butterflies on the envelope. All soldiers in the UEAF are required to have their real cutie marks on any form of message to verify that it is not a trap. Spies are known to make fake notes that have mini-bombs. Mini-bombs aren't exactly big, but the explosion is big enough to kill anypony holding the bomb. I opened the envelope. Dear, Stinger I heard that you and the rest of the team are heading out to save Rear Admiral Babs. I just wanted to let you know that I hope you succeed.  Be careful. Please stay safe. For me, please? I hope I can get back in bed without anypony seeing me. Probably not, but it's worth a try. -Butterfly I couldn't help but chuckle. I finished packing and switching to my suit. I still had time, so I began loading bullets into my J58 Stingray Assault Rifle. After what felt like a million years, a voice spoke from the speaker. "Mane 6 team. You are needed in the launch bay F3. All units report as soon as possible." I grabbed my helmet and rifle and started for the launch bay. I was facing death in the eyes all over again. //-------------------------------------------------------// Colossus //-------------------------------------------------------// Colossus "Colossus" 16:47 "Snow Snake" 16:47 Silent Strike Force Somewhere above the Eternity's Crossing DEA We have been attacking this ship for over 3 hours. How is it still not underwater? We've launched everything we have at it. Missils, bombers, mine layers, helis and the ship can handle all that! Or so I've heard. I'm not at the ship yet. My team got the last transport to the ship. Our unit has been getting a lot of shit lately. The ENS Bad Seed It was overwhelming. The ship was way bigger than I imagined it to be. It was maybe about the size of Manehatten! The shipped seemed as though it was just about ready to break in half. There were fires and holes everywhere, as well as crashed vehicles. Our IDAV had to constantly dodge incoming bullets, rockets, debris, and pegasai. The deck was a absolute battlefield. All the blood from the bodies nearly covered the entire deck of the ship. What wasn't covered in blood was covered in bodies. But there wasn't any place to land. Looks like we were jumping. We all grabbed a parachute bag, a mouth mask and dove out of the side of the IDAV. But as I jumped, I realized two things. The first one was that a rocket was heading right for our IDAV. The other thing? I realized my helmet was not clipped to my head. I grabbed my helmet right as it flew off and clipped it in. The rocket struck the support on the IDAV. The IDAV began spinning out of control. It actually began spinning towards me. I braced for impact, but felt nothing besides the wind blowing on my belly. I realized that I flew right through the opening on the side of the IDAV. Before I forgot, I deployed my parachute. From what I could tell, all my squad mates landed on the launching bays of the ship at least. As for me? I landed in the water. It was freezing. I swear, I saw something moving in the water. It was probably one of our mine layers. I couldn't climb up the side of the ship. It was too slim. Luckily, there was a hole big enough for me to fit through. But, it was blasted through, so it was no surprise that there were sharp, jagged pieces of metal sticking out. There was a DEA soldier's body next to the hole. It was almost recognizable though. The body had been burning for a good few minutes. It was the pilot of our IDAV. I guess the IDAV made this hole when it crashed into the side. Huh. Lucky me. I had to climb through. As soon as I grabbed onto a edge, I could already feel the metal sticking into my hooves. Blood began coming out. But we were trained not to feel anything. I know I wouldn't be invulnerable to pain, but it didn't hurt. At least, not a lot. I got on my microphone and tried to contact my team. Somepony replied. It was Golden Eye. "Snow Snake? Is that you?" "Roger that." "Where are you? I didn't see you land with us." "I landed in the water. The breeze the IDAV made blasted me off course." "Same plan, sir?" "Yeah. We blow up the Bad Seed's engine, making the ship a sitting duck. Then the helis can finish off the ship." "I hear Rear Admiral Babs Seed is in command of the Black Sea Fleet." "You serious? If we capture her, that will give us a huge advantage over the UEAF's entire navy! All units! New objective! Head for the bridge! We are capturing Rear Admiral Babs Seed!" "Shit! Are you serious?", said Logger "As a manticore attack." //-------------------------------------------------------// Capture //-------------------------------------------------------// Capture "Capture" 16:47 "Snow Snake" 16:47 Silent Strike Force Somewhere above the Eternity's Crossing DEA With all the battles going on outside, it was fairly easy to get to the bridge where we suspect Rear Admiral Babs Seed was. The real problem was all the explosions and fires. Every single solid object on the ship explodes or catches fire just as we pass them. As we reached the bridge, a voice barely made it to our headsets. "All DEA u--ts! Re----at im-ed---ely!  Enemy re----rce--nts are a----ing! This ba--le is --st!", then the static took over, leaving us with nothing but it. "What did he say?" "I don't know! Too much static to hear anything!" "Dosen't matter! We have that Babs Seed. Demo! Do your thing!" We all noticed that it became very quiet outside. Not a single missil or bullet was fired after the announcement on the mic. Demo, our demolition specialist, placed a F9 Mushroom on the door to the bridge. As soon as we all got out of range of the explosion, Demo pressed the button, and the F9 blew. Metal shrapnel flew everywhere. I dashed inside. My HUD scanned the bridge through the smoke. Soon, I found her. I grabbed her by the back and pointed my pistol at her head. As the smoke cleared, everypony saw me with Babs. At first, they aimed their rifles, but then they realized that I was holding their Rear Admiral hostage, so they placed down their rifles and held their hooves up. The hostage was less cooperative. "Shoot through me! Kill this bastard!" I began to hear a whirling sound outside the bridge. It was almost as if it was a propeller. I looked through the broken window of the bridge. At first there was nothing, then a UEAF Dragon ship flew up. The wind almost blew me away. "GET DOWN!!!" The Dragon ship began firing the minigun on the bridge. "Shadow Strike! RETREAT!!" I grabbed the admiral and fled with the rest of my team down the hallways. We were lost soon after, though. The ship was way too big. I brought up the hostage by the collar of her uniform. "How do we get out of here?" "You think I'll tell you? Heh. Fuck off." I slammed her against the wall. The impact knocked the wind out of her. "Don't you want you own ass to be saved?" "I could care less if I die." Then I got an almost impossible idea. "Is that Dragon ship still there?" "Yeah! It's waiting for us!" "Good." "Where're you goin'?" I stood up and got in a running postion. "I don't know. You tell me. Keep an eye on the hostage for me, will ya?" Then I ran for the Dragon ship. I managed to jump onto the cockpit of the ship before it began to open fire. The Dragon ship veered everywhere trying to get me off. I pulled out my pistol and began shooting at the glass until it broke. I almost fell off, but I managed to grab onto the side of the ship. I pulled myself into the ship where the side doors were already open. The pilot didn't notice me climbing in. I pulled out my knife, cut off the seat belts of the ship and threw him out. I then sat in the pilot's chair and tried to steady the ship. UEAF and DEA controls are very different. After a few minutes, I got used to the controls and flew up to the bridge, where my team was waiting. They seemed to have finished off the UEAF soldiers on the bridge. As my team borded, Logger said "You're one crazy son of a bitch!" "I know...", I replied. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Aalee //-------------------------------------------------------// The Aalee "The Aalee" 08:48 "Heavy" F.R.A.G Zavros Desert Ibexian Royal Army My name is Heavy. I'm the team support. You know, those soldiers where they use LMGs and stuff like that. I'm part of F.R.A.G, the most elite fighting force in the Royal Army. We've gotten reports of ponies capturing the local residents of the desert. Event though it's great to help other ponies, I hate to leave the front lines. I'd much rather bash some DEA skulls. Fort Armor I was on the phone, talking with my girlfriend who was back in the Ibex Kingdom. "Yeah, I know. The food they serve in the mess sucks. But the locals are actually pretty friendly. We haven't met any enemies yet." "Good, now I know you'll be coming back. I really miss you." "I miss you too honey. Don't worry, we'll be deployed back home in a couple of weeks. You better get ready." "I'll be ready alright." "Hey, Heavy! We got a situation here!" "Oh! I got to go. Emergency, I guess. You know how it is." "Yup! I love you!" "I love you too." I hung up and joined the rest of my team, who were gathering in the command center. "Listen up, mares! We have a problem! It seems that the ponies who were capturing the locals have gotten the balls to strike again ever since we landed here. One of our recon planes captured this video." On the giant screen showed a video from the sky. The plane zoomed in on a small town. After a few seconds I began to notice that ponies were being shot at. No matter what age or gender. Filles were being killed as well. My hooves began to tremble with anger. "Orders from the top states that these bastards must be dealt with immediately. But we are not here to start another war! Remember that! Do only what is necessary! Now move out!" After a quick gear up, we flew to the village that was being attacked. As soon as we landed, all hell broke loose. The attacking ponies all of a sudden opened fire on us. Instantly, almost a quarter of my squad fell lifeless to the ground. Some clutched onto their faces, where the bullets entered to end their short lives. The rest of my squad jumped behind cover, but did not fire back. I didn't know why at first. "Why aren't you firing back!? I can't kill them all!" "Remember what the Captain said at briefing!" "He said do what is necessary! And when we're getting shot at by a bunch of assholes, I think that's pretty damn necessary!" "But-" "Fuck it! Even if you aren't with me, I fighting back!" I poked out of the broken wall and opened fire. I managed to kill one and hit two before they were behind cover as well and continued to fire on me. A bullet whammed right into my shoulder. I pushed and laid my back on my cover. I could feel blood going down my arm. "Sunuvabitch..." I tried to apply pressure on the wound, but it was impossible for me to do it. A medic teleported over and immediately began to heal me. It still hurt. When I looked around, I realized that my whole squad followed after me and began to shoot back. We easily overpowered them and eventually led them to retreat. We won the battle, but that doesn't mean it wasn't costly. We lost half of our squad, three trucks, and 20 of us are injured, including me. But the village sustained the heaviest losses. As I scanned, I realized that the village lost 63 colts, 52 mares, and 29 fillies. Many were on the ground, crying over their loss. The ground was covered with bodies. The bodies almost made me trip five times. By the time I escaped the valley of death, my boots were completely covered in blood. The villagers showed great fear towards us. I don't blame them. Compared to their technology, we looked like gods. I saw a colt who did not look afraid. I walked up to him and held out my hoof. He shook it and began speaking some language I didn't understand. He had a dirty beard and wore a fancy looking robe. "Anypony know what the hell this pony is saying?" A recruit came out. "I do sir. I've studied this desert's language for a couple years." "Good. Can you translate for me?" "Yes, sir." The recruit began talking to the pony in seemingly gibberish. After a while, he turned and translated what the pony said to me. "This pony is the elder of the village. He thanks us for saving what is left of his village from the Aalee." "The Aalee?" The translator, as we soon came to call the recruit, turned back to the elder and spoke. A few minutes later he turned back towards me. "The Aalee is a group of evil ponies who are native to the desert. They kill, rob, and rape the locals, as well as supply weapons and bits for the DEA." "We have to report this to command." Sonar spoke up. "Already on it, buddy." "F.R.A.G to Fort Armor HQ! This is Sonar! We have information of a new enemy! Request permission to speak to Commander Armor!" "This is Shining Bullet to Sonar! What is the situation?" "We have information that a new enemy is in this area. They call themselves the Aalee." "Have you taken care of the attackers of the village?" "Affirmative." "Excellent. Return to base. We can discuss this later." "Yes sir." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great and Powerful Colonel //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great and Powerful Colonel "The Great and Powerful Colonel" 24:02 "Stinger" Mane 6 team ENS Celestia, Soldier Barracks UEAF I was in the barracks, in our assigned area playing pony polka with Sparkler, Rainboom, and Bucker. I was just about to get a full house when a voice came from the room comms. Sparkler answered it. "Yeah?" "Sparkler. Your team's room is now in for inspection. The lieutenant is coming to inspect your barracks as well as report the new change in leadership." "Wait, what change in leadership? And who's coming to inspect the barracks?" But the voice was already gone. "Captain. Who was that?" "Dunno. However it was said that somepony was coming to inspect our barracks." Then, a buzz came from the door. I checked to see who it was. A camera screen showed who was outside the door. It was a mare with a light blue mane and blue fur. Judging by her uniform, she appeared to be about a colonel rank. I buzzed her in. The door slid open and the mare walked in. I saluted. She saluted back and walked in. "Stinger! Who was it?" "Twilight Sparkle... You haven't changed a bit..." Sparkler's eyes grew wide. She swished around so fast that the table almost flipped over. "T-TRIXIE!?" "The Great and Powerful." "Trixie?", said everypony else. I remembered Trixie from my fillyhood. I used to go watch her magic shows all the time. I always looked up to her. "What the hell are you doing here!?" "Duty calls." "Like hell it's duty that's callin' you...", said Bucker. "Are you the inspector?" "Yes." "Fine. Just do your shit and be on your way..." "Not before I tell you about the 'change of command'. It seems that Commander Armor has requested me to be the new captain of the Mane 6 team." Everything became quiet for a few seconds. A few jaws were dropped that day. Sparkler looked as if she was ready to explode. "You... Me... Outside... Now..." "But I must inspe-" "Inspection! My flank! She thinks she can just waltz in here and announce that she's the new leader of MY team!? "What the hell do you mean, you're the new team captain?" "I'm just following orders, Sparkle. You brother wanted me to be the new team captain, as well as give me a promotion to  Brigader General, so here I am." "The Commander does not give anypony promotions or teams without somepony else requesting it first." I used my magic and held her up against the wall. "Are you saying I don't know how to lead my team?" As every word left my mouth, my magic around Trixie's neck held on tighter and tighter. "I'm saying that the Mane 6 team was *cough!* due for a change in leadership." I moved her right in front of my face. "Listen you psychotic little bitch... I've been leading this team since the DEA attacked 10 years ago... We've never skipped one mission, and we won't be starting today..." "I can have you in court for that..." "SHUT UP!" *GAG!* "We're heading out to rescue Admiral Babs. You're more than welcome to join, but if you so much as make the mission delay... It won't be the DEA that end your life..." I released her just as she was about to faint. She was gasping uncontrollably. After a few minutes, she got up, straightened her mane and began walking away. "Expect a court martial, Sparkle..." As soon as she walked away, Stinger came out from the door. "What happened, Captain? I heard something out here..." "It's nothing. C'mon. You up for another round of polka?" "Only if you're up to losing."
