A battle between Clan Wolf, and House Davion forces in a backwater system causes forces from both sides to become stranded on a strange and unknown world. Roadie, a Davion mechwarrior, gets separated from his lance mates, and finds himself in a large and dark forest. With only limited supplies, a modified Elemental power armor, and his trusty Centurion called "Guardian", Roadie must learn to adapt to this new world if he is to survive.
