//-------------------------------------------------------// The Worst Night Ever -by _Twinkie_Pinkie_- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Three Metamorphosis made his way through the crowd, pushing past eager ponies. He suddenly spotted the pony, and decided he had to approach her. He kept going through the full room of guests into he was directly behind the unicorn. He cleared his throat loudly. The mare spun around. "I'm not sure if you mind my asking, but, may I have this dance?" **************************************** Rarity was ecstatic!!! Blueblood had asked her to dance!!!! "Of course, my good sir," she replied, but inside, she was overjoyed. And they danced. He was so much more than she expected! The Prince was a true gentlecolt, just as Rarity had dreamed! He was just so gentleandkindandhandsomeandamazingandperfectandshejustwantedtostaywithhimanddanceforeverandever!!!! Metamorphosis knew he HAD to get this pony to love him. All of a sudden, his feelings changed. He didn't care about the pony, who was named Rarity. All he cared about was his Nation. He had to get this pony to love him for the Changelings. This would be how they took over Equestria! He suddenly jolted back. "Is something the matter?" Rarity asked, showing obvious concern. "Oh, my dear. Everthing is perfect. Although, it is getting quite crowded in here. Perhaps we should head out to the Garden?" he replied. "I think that is an absolutely splendid idea," she said. Then they walked out. ************************************** The garden was absolutely stunning. In the center of a rose bush sat a perfect rose, which was perfectly unfolded. "This rose is simply divine," Rarity said. Then, using magic to trim it, she moved it towards Metamorphosis' tuxedo, she continued, "I believe it makes a perfect touch." Looking in a small pond, Metamorphosis replied, "Well, I somewhat believe it looks rather ugly," Rarity looked down. "because it's not on you." Then, using his own magic, he pushed it behind her ear. "There," he said. "perfect." They locked eyes. Rarity couldn't help herself. She threw herself around him and pressed her lips against his. Metamorphosis' brain shorted out. He knew absolutely nothing. Except for one thing: He enjoyed it. He pulled her closer, and the two were locked in a passionate embrace. "What's going on here!??!?!?!?!" came a shocked voice. Blueblood. Rarity quickly seperated from Metamorphosis. "WHAT!!?!?!?!" she yelled. Suddenly, everything became clear to him. He was no lover boy. HE was the Changeling King! Metamorphosis went up in a high column of flames. As soon as everyone realized he was an imposter, he let out a deep, deep laugh. He was quickly tackled by a group of the Royal Gaurds. He was smiling the whole time as they took him to the Dungeon. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Five //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Five The charge hit Blueblood with great force. He was sent flying back, into a huge tree. Rarity shrieked, and ran back to him. Metamorphosis smiled and prepared to fire again, when Rarity looked back at him. Oh no, he thought. What have I done? Unable to say anything, he simply ran away and took flight, until he was no onger visible. ************************************ Rarity lay over Blueblood, tears streaming down her face. "I'll always love you, my dear," he said, trying hard to not fall into an eternal sleep. He pulled Rarity down into another kiss. His last. They seperated, and his head went limp in her arms. ************************************* Rarity stayed in her boutique, and didn't come out. The shop was always closed, and no one was allowed in. She just couldn't deal with anything. The whole building was dusty, accept for a single table. On it sat a framed picture of her and Blueblood dancing in the Garden. And a single rose. The rose from Metamorphosis. THE END! (PS- Please don't hate :) I'm in 8th grade and this is my first fanfic) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter One "Are you almost ready? We need to leave soon! Don't you know how big the crowd is gonna be to see the Wonderbolts?" Twilight rolled her eyes. That was the fifth time Rainbow had complained. "Rainbow Dash!" Rarity blurted, shocked at the statement. "You can't possibly expect a lady like myself to rush, can you? I want to make a good impression on my Prince." Having the opppurtunity to meet him meant all of Equestria to her, and someday they would marry, and she could become a princess, a role which Rarity knew she could play. Although she may not have been as educated as Twilight, she would make a positively gorgeous addition to the royal family. "Whatever," Dash said casually. "I'm gonna go get me a flying session. Catch you later!" "Heavens no!" Rarity exclaimed, "I will simply not have you messing up your mane. Now if you would be a dear, get away from that window." Smirking, Rainbow playfully approached to the window. She prepared to take off. "You. Wouldn't. Dare," Rarity warned. "Watch me," Dash replied, mischeaviously. By the time she had taken off and reached the window, Applejack already had a lasso around her ankle. "I'm sorry nellie, but Rarity's right. We oughta stick here a while," she said. "Alright," Rainbow replied, looking disappointed. Rarity couldn't believe that she wanted to go fly, with no time to waste! That was so...so...uncouth! Time passed. With persuasion from Spike and the others, Rarity was convinced that she was ready. They loaded into the carriage, anxious for the night ahead. ********************************* Meanwhile, in Canterlot, Blueblood was preparing himself. He was a humble bachelor, and he hoped that would change tonight. He walked to a window, and looked down on the city, daydreaming of the night ahead. In his dreams, he did not notice he had a guest in the room. With a devilish smile, King Metamorphosis summoned his magic. Blueblood, still caught up in his daydream, did not notice the green flames engulfing him until it was too late. With the deepest voice imaginable, just before the Prince was gone, Metamorphosis simply said, "Well, well, well, what a shame. I guess that it must be I who goes to Gala in your place. What a shame!" Shocked, Blueblood furiously tried to get out of the spell. But he was gone. Releasing a grave laugh, Metamorphosis looked to Blueblood's vanity. He noticed right away that he had no filly friend. "I guess I can change that," he said, morphing into the prince. "Some filly is going to be very lucky," as he grabbed a diamond ring from the drawer. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Two Walking into the Canterlot Castle, Rarity immediatly took off into the royal hall, when, she saw him! He was even more handsome then she imagined! She almost ran after him, but realized that would be uncouth. She decided she would casually make her way up to him. ************************************ As soon as Metamorphosis spotted her, he knew she was the one. Looked pretty helpless, easily distressed, and gorgeou-WHHAATTT?!?!?! He shook his head. He couldn't let his emotions get to him. 'Why?' he asked himself, "Why?" His mind drifted to his childhood. "Metamorphosis, come back!" screamed Chrysalis. Her dear friend was running towards the forest, far from where he was supposed to be. He wanted to explore, and no one was going to stop him. He was out. He suddenly had an idea. With suspicion, he flapped his wings. Nothing. He sighed, and started walking. All of a sudden, he found a new idea. Curiously, he kept flapping until a strange buzzing sound appeared. And suddenly he was up. Overjoyed, Metamorphosis flew high in the sky. He suddenly spotted a big pile of grasses on the ground. He descended, and realized that the grass was a roof to small home. A strange creature emerged. "Well, well, well, what have we here? This young changeling has decided to appear!" "What are you?" Metamorphosis asked. "I am a zebra, which is rare here as they say. I mix potions for ponies, so they are able to work and play!" Even more curious, he asked, "Where am I? I was flying and I found this place." The Zebra, somewhat angry, replied, "No! You must go and stay away! Your kind is not welcome here, just as they say!" Metamorphosis didn't like that. He didn't know what he would do, but he hated this Zebra! Agrivated, he turned to buck her. But he was suddenly suspended. The zebra stuck a berry in his mouth, which he was forced to swallow. The zebra said, "That berry has been infused with potion. Now you shall feel all sorts of emotions!" The king shook his head again. He noticed the pony was close. He briskly walked into the ballroom. ********************************** 'Damn it!' Rarity thought to herself. She was so close to getting him. Now he had entered the ballroom. It would be short of impossible to get to him there! "You musn't give up!" she told herself, and quickly went to the dancefloor. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter Four "I'm awful sorry, Rarity. Jus' ain't right for that t' happen to a pony," Applejack said. Rarity stifled her sobs, until they had almost vanished. Still sniffling, she replied, "It's ok, Applejack. I was crazy to even believe it was real anyways. I would never have a chance to be with him." Behind them, somepony cleared their throat loudly. Then, a white hoof gently touched Rarity on the shoulder. "I'm incredibly sorry, m'lady," Blueblood said. Rarity let out a sigh. She simply did not have anything to say. He silently left the garden. He retrieved the Cello player from the ballroom. She slowly started to play little notes, which appeared here and there, yet eventually turned into a beautiful melody. Blueblood walked to Rarity, extending a hoof. Hoping this was real this time around, Rarity accepted it. After a while, everyone had left the garden, besides the dancing ponies and their music. ******************************************** In his cell, Metamorphosis jolted up. He knew Rarity and Blueblood were together. His feelings came back to him. He hated it. He needed to apologize. Maybe he could fix this, maybe if he explained everything, Rarity might realize that that was him back there! He wasn't acting. He now realized that he truly did love her. He just hoped it wasn't too late. ********************************************* As the music came to a close, Blueblood and Rarity stayed close. They ventured over to the pond. Realizing she should probably find her friends, Rarity decided it was safe to at least give the prince a peck on the lips. It couldn't hurt, right? But that clearly didn't happen. As soon as Rarity's lips were on his, Blublood pulled her closer, and her little peck melted into something more. ********************************************** Metamorphosis ran over the hill. When he spotted Rarity, he was overjoyed. And then he wasn't. He stared, watching them in embrace. His feeling of love turned into hatred and betrayal. He didn't care anymore. All he wanted was for this pony to die. Blueblood spotted it before Rarity. The Changeling charging down the hill. He quickly seperated from his lover. He was horrified and scared for his life when he saw his horn illuminate. But, he was even more horrified when he pointed it at Rarity. Metamorphosis stopped, smiled, and fired a deadly spell. Without thinking, Blueblood jumped away from where he was standing. And landed in front of Rarity.
