In an ultimate agreement between the three major monarchs, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Queen Chrysalis have scoured the land for a crew of three specially selected ponies to aboard their latest masterpiece: the Crusader, an intergalactic space galleon.

At the helm of this mighty ship, Morpheus Equinox, a hybrid of Changeling and pony genetics, leads his two companions Megabit and Asteria into the depth of outer space. Backed by the support of the Lunar Empire space colony, of which Luna is now the ruler, they wander the stars in search for discoveries and adventures.
