The morning after Nightmare Night
The scent of wax filled his nostrils, the young colts eyes opened. Blinking twice and letting his eyes adjust to the darkness a lone candle sitting in the corner of the room giving of a faint glow, just enough so the young colt could see his surroundings' a small blanket draped over his body dotted in brown spots matching his coat, white walls covered in posters of pirates battling on the high seas, sleek brown wooden flooring around the bed, the rest a plain white.
His hooves moved as he adjusted under the blanket grabbing the blanket with his mouth and pulling it over his muzzle for added warmth. Staring at the ceiling adjourned with multiple stars a sun pasted at the corner of the celling above the candle shined with added brightness, but stars they are the brightest of all the light of the candle reflecting off them shimmered beautifully. The young colt continued to stare lost in his own trance, his muzzle breathes warming his neck, readjusting himself the colt began to wonder about the night before. The silliness of it all running around with a pink mare you barely know but candy is a tempting thing especially for a colt his age. The whole incident with nightma-Princess Luna, running away in fear she saved the colts life from drowning but fear is also a strong thing especially for a colt his age. He chuckled at the memory and then proceeded to grip his stomach in pain, eating all his candy in one night seemed like a good idea, now regretting it and feeling like throwing up.
Getting lost in thought again, on the brighter side he made a few friend Dinky she was nice a bit shy and scared, but nice then there were Snips and Snails grade A scatterbrains ended up dropping half their candy of a bridge , then there was Featherweight thin as a stick and just as fragile, next Twist speaks with a lisp but can spot grade A candy easy. Letting out a small yawn and smacking his lips together he finally found the bravery to get up throwing the blanket off him and getting up letting out a yawn this one much louder then the last. The spotted colt stretched his legs and back with a satisfying pop of the joints he jumped off the bed and proceeded towards the candle in the corner of the room his tiny legs making smalls creaks in the aging wood.
The young colt grabbed the handle of the candle with his mouth and proceeded to the opposite end of the room towards the little pirates room the wax dripping onto his snout, doing a 360 and opening the washroom door with his back legs he walked in and climbed up onto his stand and gently placed the candle beside the sink. Looking into his reflection he saw a colt staring at him with a chocolate man yet to be combed brown eyes that reflected the flair of the candle and a cream coat with light brown spots adoring it. Twisting the faucet with one hoof and running another over the warm water sent a shiver through his body he splashed the water up onto his face and washed off the wax from his snout. He then proceeded to grab a cone and run it through his mane satisfied with his mane, next he grabbed his red toothbrush and toothpaste labeled "Colgatelicious" squeezing the paste on the brush and moving the brush around his mouth up down, up down, left right, repeating the cycle for a good two minutes.
Exiting the room with a candle being dragged by his hoof directly proceed to the corners of the room where he lit up the rest of the candles, the light reflecting off the stars on the ceiling created a spectacular amount of light nodding his head and proceed to his bed crouching down and dragging out a small wooden box smaller then him that caused the floor to creak. The young colt nudged open the box with his snout and stared at the contents, one sword with a curved plastic blade at the bottom with a gold hilt and brown handle. The next item clothes not ordinary clothes but apparel worn by the toughest of the tough, robbing ships, pillaging towns, and rescues fair maidens, these were pirate clothes.
Wearing the clothes around his body made him feel a sense of pride his sword at ready made him feel like he could take on an army of hydras. Circling the room he was getting ready, readying for battle he circled his imaginary opponent He made the first move a low swipe to the legs but alas his opponent jumped back and swung overhead he rolled to the side and with a quick swipe of his hoof hitting his opponent over his head stunning him. He was fighting for honor, glory, riches, and to save his dear Luna, not letting go of the opportunity the spotted colt swung his sword for the neck defeating him in a blink of an eye.
Nodding at his victory and with his sword still equipped he walked over to his window spitting out the sword and jumping up to reach the string to open up the blinds. After a few failed jumps he backed up against his bed with a running start and a quick jump his mouth grabbed onto to the string and was slowly descended down onto the floor the bright light filled the room instantly. Getting off his flank and going over to blow out the candles. Once that was over he dragged his stool from the washroom and positioned it below the windowsill after climbing up and sitting down gently he pushes open the window exposing himself to the cool fall air shivering and tightening the handkerchief over his head he surveyed the outside world.
Pegasi flying through the skies, earth ponies setting up stalls for the morning rush, unicorns walking and using their magic to carry large amount of items around him. The clouds hung lazily through the sky, mixed with chatter, and the clopping of hooves on the stoney ground. The young colt wasn't going to sit around and do nothing raising his sword skywards today was a new adventure and nothing was going to stop him, that is until his stomach growled, adventure could wait until after breakfast.
