Life at the Dimensional Crossing

"... But it was too late..."

I read the words put infront of me and closed the page without saving. I slowly closed my laptop and watched the sun shine in from my window. Another day passes without me getting a chapter done. I nod my head back and yawned, dropping off my chair onto all fours and trotting to the bathroom. I stop for a few seconds to look into the mirror and sigh.

Staring back at me was a cartoonish white mare with her orange mane tossed everywhere, her eyes showed signs of no sleep and her wings looked ruffled. I continued to gaze upon my appearance, continuing to think how much of an idiot I was. I sighed and felt a deep pain in my chest before I took a breathe in and coughed out a large purple cloud that reeked, smelling like the noxious fumes diesel trucks expelled into the atmosphere.

Ok, Let me explain in that cheesy movie way where the character breaks the wall to explain how things went down.

First: Some Scientists doing whatever had became Bronies and found a way to different worlds. Dimension Hopping, The next big thing. But, Anything that went to these lands that was not like was instantly destroyed. So, No Humans in Equestria. And no Ponies on Earth. Took those geniuses a week to come up with a way that we can enjoy it without breaking time, space, yada yada...

Basically, They are able to create new bodies for the subjects and teleport them there. Sad to say they never explained this when I and nineteen others tried out there 'OC spreadsheet'. They gave us food, games and a place to crash. When we woke up, We found ourselves in a cartoonish field as our OC's. Some thought it was a dream come true, Some worried about stuff back home, I was wondering why the hell I picked my Female OC.

Suddenly the scientists voices came from above. "We are sorry for surprising you with this, But we needed some test subjects."

Ya, Blah Blah Blah. They tricked us just because it could potentially be 'Dangerous' and didn't want to get in any trouble. The opened a swirling disturbance in the wall of that reality, The Portal. They gave us some rules the follow, "Don't disturb the way things go" "Do not get caught in any affairs unless it involves directly you". Basically "Be background characters..."

So we did that, We entered the portal and appeared at the bottom of a hill. It was lame until we reached the top of the hill, Where we could see Ponyville in all it's glory. We did get excited, but we knew not to cause much disturbance. I and some others went to guard the portal and try out our new wings and horns. We sucked at using them...

2 hours passed when the first party returned with one of the Pegasi restrained. Guy tried to sneak up on Lyra and Bonbon and try to make them kiss. Idiot....

I stepped out of the shower and grabbed a towel with the mysterious power my hooves now had at gripping objects. Slowly drying off my body as best I could. I climbed up and grabbed the brush provided, brushing my hair as best I could. This still felt completely ridiculous. I had friends and sisters who did this sort of thing to dolls and now I am doing it to myself. But, You must look presentable at work...

Right?

Alright, More back story.

So, We began to thought that maybe some bronies would be too overhyped by coming here. It could disturb stuff, End of time and space as we know it. That sort of thing. But holding something like this back is kinda cruel. I mean, Some people deserve it if they follow the rules correctly. So, A group was formed in the pocket dimension where our new bodies were created. A town was built and a community was made. A bridge between our to worlds. Some set up farms, other businesses and some helping bring goods from our old dimension to this new one like the comforts of modern electricity.

Then one of the scientists let the thing go wild and we had a mass influx of people coming in. To prevent them from escaping into Equestria, A new job was made...

"Name and Reason for entering Equestria" I asked in a tired stretched voice.

"Uhhh... Looking to... Explore the Everfree..." The tall black stallion stuttered, wearing a large trench coat the covered most of his body. His coat was black as night and carried a horn longer then my legs...

"Uh huh, Name?"

"Chao- Uh... Coal... My name is Coal. Coal Digger" He replied, His eyes would look shifty if it wasn't for the shades he was wearing.

I looked at him more carefully before saying "Remove the coat sir."

The guy froze before sharply responding "Uh, Rather not... I am feeling under the weather and it is chilly out here..."

"Sir, The coat..." I asked again

The guy seemed to hesitate before running as fast as he could towards the portal. His coat and glasses flew off as his dragon like eyes focused on the portal, his steampunk like wings stretching out. I screamed out for the 12th time this week "MARY BREACH! HEADING TO THE PORTAL!" and slammed on the red button.

A siren started to wail as a group of pegasi, earth ponies and Unicorn started racing towards the Alicorn. His Hoof was just centimeters towards the portal when he was tackled to the ground and dragged off by guards.

"I AM THE SON OF LUNA AND RAINBOW DASH! I WILL BE REUNITED WITH MY MOTHERS!" he screamed as he was dragged out of the compound. I sighed and rubbed my temples before turning my attention to the Blue and Green Zebra Pegasus infront of me..,

I groaned, muttering "Today is going to suck..." as I continued on with my job.
