Equestria. A land steeped in heritage and mystery. A land which has a rich history that spans over no less than three thousand glorious years. But what about before that? Why are the ponies of Equestria so different to the world around them? Why do they feel the need to tame the land and weather, and bend it too their will? Why is it that they fear the Everfree forest? Because it is able to exist without the need of order and harmony? Why are such concepts completely alien to their natural psyche?

What if the ponies of Equestria are not alone in the universe? What if, among the stars, others like them exist? What if their peaceful land is merely one in a thousand worlds, scattered across the cosmos?

When a strange stallion appears, clad in ornate power armor, equipped with deadly high-tech weaponry, and armed with an unshakeable faith in his so called 'Queen', one thing is for certain.
