//-------------------------------------------------------// High School with Rarity -by Corwin Geass- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// First day back //-------------------------------------------------------// First day back "Ugh, I don't want to get up." I hate having to go back to school after getting the flu. Now I have to make up work and deal with the teachers I don't like. Well I might as well get this over with. Oh did I forget to tell about myself? My apologies, my names Corwin. I'm 15 years old and I'm not like many other teens. Instead of wanting to party every weekend and drink beer and smoke behind my parents backs, I like to keep to myself alot. I'm one of those guys who will stay silent through class and sticks in the shadows unless spoken to by the teacher. Alot of the girls thinks its cool, but I could care less. In school, I'm pretty much the guy no one wants to mess with. You could say I'm the King of the school, but like I said about the girls, I could care less. Well anyway, back to the story. I got up from my bed, still aching a little from sleeping on it a lot. I got dressed in my usual white shirt, jeans, and red jacket. Putting on my shoes, I head downstairs to see my brother, who for some reason wants to be called by his middle name Shadow, and my mother already eating breakfast. "Good morning Corwin,"said my mother," how do you feel?" "I still ache, but nothin to bad." I grabbed the box of cereal from the counter, mmm Cinnamon Toast Crunch. After getting my breakfast, I sat at the table next to Shadow. "Mornin C," he said, calling me by my nickname. "Mornin bro." "Ready to go back to school?" "What do you think?" He laughed and we finished our breakfast. After grabbing our backpacks, we both headed out to the bus stop. It was pretty cold out, it nearing winter and all. The bus came rolling up not to soon and Shadow got on first. I followed and the driver noticed me, smiling. I smiled back and started going down the aisle. As I was walking, any who noticed me looked away, not trying to make eye contact. Shadow was sitting with his friend, and the only place left to sit was with a girl with purple, curly hair who was looking out the woindow, not paying attention to anything. She was wearing a white blouse with a purple skirt. On the blouse were three diamonds. I sat down and she obviously noticed. "Oh hello there," she said," I don't believe we've met. I'm Rarity." She put her hand out and I took it in mine, thinking it would be rude if I didn't. "My names Corwin," I replied. "Oh I know who you are. It may be my first day, but word travels around about the famed Shadow King." Huh, guess they finally made a name for me I thought to myself. "Didn't think that everyone would name me. So you said that today is your first day right?" "Yes, I know it's a little late in the year, but ooww!" Before she could finish her statement, a calculator came flying from behind and smacked Rarity in the back of the head. I got up and looked at the kid who threw it. "Hey watch what you're doing," I said. The child noticed and soon realized who he was dealing with and started apologizing like a mad man. I turned away from him and looked back at Rarity. She was holding her head and in tears. "I'm sorry," she started,"it's not right for a lady to cry." I moved to comfort her. "No, that's no true. You have every right to cry. I'm sure that boy won't be messing with you again." She looked up at me and gave me a sad smile. I thought it was adorable. "Here, let me see how bad it is," I said. She nodded and turned so I could look at the back of her head. I moved her soft, purple hair, almost like velvet. There was a slight bruise but nothing too major. "We'll there is a bruise, but it should go away soon. Good news is that it won't be noticeable because of your amazing hair." "You think my hair is amazing," she asked. "I...uh...well" I stopped stammering when she gave me a kiss on the cheek and smiled at me. My cheeks started to feel warm and I knew I was blushing. The bus rolled to a stop right in front of the school and everyone boarded off. Shadow said he would go and hang out with his friends before the bell rang. I told him alright, and he walked off. Rarity and I headed for the Lunch Hall to chat for a bit. I saw some kids sitting in my usual spot. When I walked up, everyone sitting there rushed off, clearing the table. "Wow, I'm sure you could clear a room," said Rarity sitting down. "I believe I have at one point in time, I don't remember." I sat down next to Rarity and we started talking about where she came from. I found out that we were both from a small town in Maine and that her dad had to have the family move because of a job position here in town. Not long after, a group of teenaged boys came wondering up to our table and started to sit down. "Well look at what the cat dragged in," said one of them. "Looks like the Shadow King has returned to school," said another. "Beat it Tyler, I'm in no mood to deal with you right now," I sneered. The one that I called Tyler snickered and moved closer to Rarity. "Come on baby," he started," why don't me and the boys show you a good time." He put his hand on Rarity's leg, too close to her private parts. "Unhand me you ruffian," said Rarity. "Oh we've got a feisty one boys," said Tyler. The guys with him all started to laugh and move in closer. I grabbed Tyler's wrist and slammed him on the table. "If you want to keep this hand I suggest you leave now," I said. He whimpered a bit and I let him go. He got up holding his wrist. "Come on boys, lets not waste our time here." They all left and I turned back to Rarity. "Are you alright?" "Yes darling, thanks to you." She kissed me on the cheek again and I knew that another blush was coming. It did. The bell rang and I headed to my locker. Amazingly enough, Rarity and I had lockers right next to eachother. Another amazing thing is that we shared each of our classes. We entered our first class of the day. English. "Well if it isn't Mr. Bass," said the teacher. "Hello Mr. Andrew." "And who's this, a new student," asked Mr. Andrew. "My name is Rarity and yes I'm a new student." "Well there's a nice spot for the both of you in the back, just the way you like it Corwin," said Mr. Andrew. Rarity and I walked to the back and took our seats. Class went by as usual, boring as hell. The bell rung and Rarity and I walked to our next class which was P.E. "Come on Rarity." "Where are we going Corwin?" "Well usually students who go to P.E. have to go to the annex building," I point at the building," and take these health notes." "Oh alright." We entered the small building and ran into Tyler. "Well if it isn't Corwin and his little bitch." I grabbed Tyler by his shirt collar and got in his face. "Back the hell off Tyler." I let go and he walked away scowling. We sat and the coach put up the notes. The rest of the day went by with hardly any more problems. When it was time, we got on the bus and headed to the back. Shadow was there and he saw us as we were walking up. "There are the two love birds," he said smiling. "Ah hush up Shadow," I said punching him in the arm. He laughed and pulled out his iPod.Rarity and I sat down and I held her head in my lap while my hand ran through her hair. The bus pulled to a stop at Shadows and my house. I got up, but Rarity grabbed my arm and pulled me into a full kiss on the lips. She pulled back smiling and said," I'll see you tomorrow darling." I smiled and nodded my head. I got off the bus and Shadow put an arm around my neck. "Like I said, love birds." I laughed at his little joke and we headed inside, ending a good day.
