Trixie got to her hooves slowly, testing out a variety of aches. Her hooves could support her weight so she trotted over to the other standing blue mare.
“Trixie feels better than she had for a long time. Trixie thanks you for your assistance with her tooth, but she has to get ready to prepare for her next show. Trixie will be in Fillydelphia for the next month if you ever want to come along.”
Colgate put her brush down and gave Trixie a deep hug. “I’d like that.”
As Trixie moved to leave the house, she stopped and turned back to Colgate. With a flick of her magic, she unclasped her cloak and lifted her hat. Floating them over to Colgate, she fastened them around her neck and head.
“I think my greatest fan deserves the real thing” Trixie said, breaking into first pony speech for the first time since she had arrived. She grabbed the replica costume that Colgate had been wearing and put it on, looking exactly like she did before.
Colgate could feel a difference in the nature of the garment she was now wearing. It was infused with some form of magic, something she had never managed to do with her own. Just having it on made her feel safe.
“I’ll treasure it forever. Will you ever come back here?”
Trixie gave Colgate a superior smirk, breaking back into her ‘Great and Powerful’ persona again.
“Trixie will surely need dental work done again in the future. She will be sure to seek out such a qualified professional as yourself.”
With that Trixie turned walked towards the front door. Colgate lit her horn and broke the enchantment keeping it shut. Trixie walked out the door and off towards the rising orb of Celestia’s sun. Colgate just watched her go, eyes locked firmly on her shapely plot and firm flanks. She watched until Trixie moved around a corner and out of sight.
Wrapping herself in Trixie’s cloak, Colgate moved inside to prepare for the day’s work. She still had a full schedule of appointments today. First up was the mailpony, Derpy Hooves. She had smashed into something a chipped a tooth.
As she got started on her prep work, Colgate could not help but think about what she was going to tell Berry about what had happened during the night.
