Preperations

The group started to panic. The guards prepared themselves and formed a wall of metal armor in between the camp and the manticore. Other guards started waking the very tired ponies.

The manticore closed the gap between them and guards and began circling the camp looking for any weaknesses in the guard formation. The guards responded quickly by making a circle around the camp, spears prepared. The ponies heard moment through all the trees around them.

One of the manticores took a swipe at one of the guards. The guard dodged and responded by thrusting his spear at the manticore only to have his spear knocked out of his hooves. The other manticore saw its chance and jumped over the guards trying to get at the small group of ponies inside the circle. Guards started moving back the second manticore, Trying there best to protect the princess Luna and the 6 others.

Rainbow Dash quickly jumped in front of the manticore. "Bring it on, I'll beat you no prob!!" She yelled and then began to buck the manticore.

The manticore roared in anger and Rainbow Dash stopped out of pure fear. "Maybe this wasn't such a good idea." She said to herself as she turned around. The manticore prepared to strike Rainbow Dash but then mid way in froze. The ponies looked in confusion as the manticore slowly fell to the ground. it had a hole in the back of its neck. A large blade sticking out of his left glove. It came out at the beginning of the top of his wrist. The blade was as long os the first half of his arm and ended with a curved point facing downwards.

As the group looked up, they saw a strange creature standing on its back. Fluttershy recognized it as Siege.

"Rest in piece, creature of anger." Siege said to the manticore. He looked up to see red lights all over the trees looking down on the group. Some of the guards formed a circle around Siege as he jumped off the manticores body. Thats when the group of ponies noticed all the red lights in the trees. Rainbow recognized them immediately. She had seen one of those red lights looking at her when she had seen the fight earlier.

The sun started to rise and the ponies could clearly see Siege and strange robotic type creatures in the tree. There were tons of them, all staring down at the group. The manticore saw it just to late as one of the robots jumped down and stabbed the manticore in the back. More of the robots started to jump down some landing on the manitcore as it roared out in pain. The roars quickly stopped.

The group stared in awe with mouths wide open. They had no idea what just happened. Fluttershy suddenly became very confused. Who where those others and what did Siege have to do with them. She had tears in her eyes. She had seen to much suffering during this trip and it was getting to her. The next thing she heard was Siege's voice.

"So you've found me." He said with a small smile on his face. "You.... are.... Ponies, if I'm correct." He turned to the group of ponies. "You should probably leave." He said with a kind voice, trying to stop the panicking. "Little Fluttershy, would you be oh so kind as in the tell them what I just said? Fluttershy, looked at the rest of the group. They all had a confused look on there faces.

"What did it say Fluttershy?" Luna asked. "It said we should leave." Fluttershy said with a quiet voice. The strange robots walked closer. The guards closed there circle further making it harder for the inner group to see the robots. Rainbow Dash flew up a little to get a better view. She could see something in side the robots. The things inside the robots looked like Siege only wearing white. You could see small pieces of face near the head.

"There's something inside the robots!" She yelled. "Its an exosuit." Siege replied only to get a confused look from Rainbow. "Little Fluttershy, Lead your group out of here, Quickly!"

Fluttershy got a scared look on her face. "But I'm not the leader, princess Luna is." The confusion inside the group grew. They could not understand Fluttershy or and strange creature that stood before them.

"It doesn't matter little Fluttershy, you must not see what happens here. Your time has not yet come, and I will not let you hurt until you are prepared." Siege yelled. Fluttershy let out a squeak and turned to the group. "We have to leave now!" She said raising her voice.

The group could see the panic in her eyes and listen to her. They grabbed anything the could and ran. The robots let them pass without a problem. There priority was Siege.

The group kept running for a few minutes and then stopped. Chaos and panic took hold of the group. They where all yelling at each other. Some of them began yelling at Fluttershy. "What where you saying to that thing and how in the world could you understand it?!" Some of them yelled. "I...... I don't know." She said, starting to cry. She couldn't handle the stress.

"Please ponies, Stop yelling at her. This isn't her fault!" Twilight yelled in vain. The group didn't stop.

"SILENCE!" Princess Luna shouted. This time the group stopped talking the moment Luna spoke. "This was not Fluttershy's doing and you will not place the blame on her!"  The group fell silent. "I need to speak with my sister right away." Luna finally said. She seemed to evaporate into smoke and disappeared from sight. The group sat there for a moment trying to understand what happened. Twilight was the first to break the silence.

"Wait a minute, wheres Rainbow?" She yelled out with a worried voice. During the chaos Rainbow Dash had sneaking out of the group and went back to were she the robots and Siege were. She was to curious to just run away and wanted to find out what was going on.

Meanwhile, The tension was growing at Siege's location. "Your not supposed to be here, Cell. You think we hadn't prepared for this?" Siege said to the robots.

"You abomination. Your existence is a sin!" One of the robots yelled out. "We will destroy you and your empire!" Another shouted out."

All of them began to attack. They readied there blade as they jumped at Siege *Maximum speed* Siege Ran at two of the robots, Killing the men inside before the hit the ground. There suits and bodies slowly began to evaporate as they hit the ground.

This is the point where Rainbow Dash returned. She hid in a bush and watch the fight unfold.

Blade after blade came only to be countered Siege. Many of the robots arms and legs hand been cut off by Siege. Some of the robots changed tactic returning the blade and aiming there arms at Siege but Siege was quick to react. *Maximum Armor* The voice sounded. Loud bangs could be heard making Rainbow Dash flinch.

The bullet hit target but to no use. Rainbow Dash could see the area's of skin that had been hit grow back and quickly. Before the wounds had healed Rainbow saw a strange black piece of something under the skin the looked like black clothing Siege had been wearing. Siege ran up to the robots as they continued firing. Rainbow noticed the Siege was moving much slower than before, but still worked with the same lethal consequences. He impaled the robots as they fired. Some hit each other in a panic trying to keep Siege away. Siege had already destroyed and kill 17 robots within a five minute period and there also a few left. The last jumped at Siege in a desperate attempt to kill him. Siege grabbed something of his belt and through in on the ground. The air quickly filled with smoke and Siege seemed to have disappeared a together. The last robots looked around but saw nothing. They heard a slicing noise as the one in the back of the group fell down. They turned around only to have two more of there comrades fall the the ground. They started talk to each other. One tried to run away Whilst the other waved there blades around trying to hit the invisible threat.

It swung its blade and the blade was blocked by some invisible force. There appeared Siege. The robot tried to swing it other blade at Siege but it was too late. Siege drove his own blade through the skull of the robot. It shook for a second and stopped moving. The other robot fell to its knee's and awaited its fate. Siege walked up to the robot bowed slightly showing honor towards his defeated foe. Instead of killing the man he just tore the mans helmet off and looked at the mans face. Siege could see the courage and sorrow in the mans eyes. Instead of killed the man he just knocked the man unconscious.

Siege then turn his a attention to the final robot which was no to far off. His exosuit had malfunctioned and was having trouble lifting its weight. He turned back to see all his comrades dead. He watched Siege pull his blades back in and pull a gun from his belt. The robot quickly began to try and run but his fate was sealed. Siege fire three shot all hitting mark in the back of the mans head.

Rainbow Dash had a look of awe and horror stuck on her face. She had just watched the ruthless murder of what seemed to be living robots. There was still some smoke in the air and she looked at all the bodies lying there. Some had already completely evaporated but most still lay there, disappearing into the air.

Siege pulled his hood off and smiled. This was his first encounter with any Cell forces since he had been awakened. It had gone far better than he had excepted looking at his suit. It seemed that the Cell group stationed on this planet never expected the to be a guardian and they had only sent grunt forces to defend it. Which was a good this meaning they didn't know that there was intelligent life on the planet.

He turned his attention to the little cyan pegasis that had been watching the fight. He pointed to the direction that the group of ponies had gone to and moved his head signaling to follow. At first Rainbow didn't know to do but then decided to listen the Siege and follow. The walked towards the place where the ponies had stopped. Rainbow Dash lead whilst Siege walked behind. This was when she noticed Sieges mane. It was pitch blank, short and messy. "Probably from the hood." She thought to herself. There was silence at first but Rainbow could not stay quiet for long.

"That was awesome what you did back there." She said the creature walking behind her. It smiled and continued to walk. The conversation was one sided as Rainbow re-explained everything that she saw. She saw that the creature probably understood her and continued undisturbed.

Siege continued to listen proudly. He had never gotten a complement for doing things like this other than his name nor did he ever really get complements and decided to enjoy every moment of it. It had been a long time since he had heard a friendly voice. He had been stuck in his chamber for a long time.

It took about 20 minutes to reach where the rest of the ponies had stopped and the had all since calmed down. The first thing Rainbow saw was some guards looking around. They were probably looking for her. She didn't exactly tell them she had gone and they must of sent some of the guards to look for her.

"Hay guards, I'm over here!" She yelled waving her hooves. The guards looked her and immediately saw Siege stand behind her. They ran up to Rainbow Dash and put themselves between her and Siege, There spears ready to strike. Siege laughed a little. It was funny for him to see two small ponies pointing spears at him.

"Its okay guys, hes with me." Rainbow said proudly. She really did think that Siege was cool and didn't have any issue with what he had just done.

Siege was surprised that she said that, let alone in that manner. "This ponies definitely is confident." He thought to himself. The guards hesitatingly lowered there spears. They all walked back to the the stopping point of the ponies. They had already set up camp and were resting.

"Where were you!" Twilight yelled out to Rainbow Dash. She was very angry. "We thought you had been killed or something!"

"It's okay Twilight. They didn't do anything to me." Rainbow dash said trying to calm twilight down.

"Wait what do you do you mean 'they' didn't do anything to me? Twilight asked.

"Well when you were all yelling at each other I kiiinda went back to see what would happen." Rainbow Dash said. Her face had gone a bit red and she didn't make any eye contact with Twilight. "Speaking of which, look who I brought with me." Rainbow said with a grin on her face. From behind a tree Siege popped up. Everyone froze except for Rainbow Dash.

The guard that where not still with Rainbow rush up to the unwelcome guest, spears ready, circling Siege. Siege couldn't help but giggle a little. He still thought it was funny.

"WHY I THE WORLD DID YOU BRING THAT HERE!!" Twilight yelled. "Didn't you see what it did to that manticore?!?!"

"I did and I think it was pretty cool, anyways hes fine." Rainbow Dash replied. Siege was surprised that the little cyan ponies trusted him so much.

"I agree with Rainbow Dash." A quiet voice said. It was Fluttershy. "Not the manticore part but that hes safe." She continued.

"Fine, he can stay but if he tries anything!" Twilight said. She was trying to calm down but was still far from happy. Fluttershy thought this was a bit weird though. Normally Rainbow Dash would be the untrusting one and twilight would be the one introducing new ponies to the group.

Fluttershy was not the only one with a strange look on she face. Siege was yet again surprised by the little ponies before him. He was surprised that they where deciding his fate, Right in front of him without even knowing who he was, other than Fluttershy of course.

It was at that moment that princess Luna returned. She had gone to her sister to tell her of what had happened and to ask for more supplies to be sent. When she saw Siege she became some what enraged to say the least. Her horn started glowing. Siege was next to start glowing in the same color. Luna was trying to force him to the ground. Nothing happened and Siege began to walk up to Luna. She looked in awe at Siege and tried even harder to keep him away. His hand started to glow a reddish color as he walk up to Luna. He put his hand on her head and she relaxed. Her horn stopped glowing as he said "Its okay, I'm not the one you should be fearing." A look of awe came over Luna. She understood what he had said.

"What....... what did you just do?" She asked, eyes wide. "I taught you to speak as I do." Siege replied. Luna looked at the other ponies. All of them either were scared or confused about what had just happened.

"How did you..." Luna stuttered  "How did you do that? do that. And where did you learn to use magic?" Luna asked. She was shocked.

"So you call it magic. How funny. I simply attuned myself to this worlds energy, just as you have." Siege replied. I admit it took a very long time to do so, but i know see that it was worth it."

"But then how did you stop my magic?" Luna asked. She just couldn't understand what just happened.

"Again, quite simple. You sent a wave of energy at me just now. All i did is alter the wave as it moved and rejected it. I'm surprised you can't do that yourself, but from what I've seen today, you ponies are full of surprises. Good and bad."

"I must tell my sister this." She thought to herself. "There is no need to." Siege said. "Wait you can read my mind." Thinking it instead of asking out loud. "Indeed I can and last I remember you can too." Siege thought back. "But is looks like we have company." Siege continued to say, out loud this time.

Princess Celestia floated down in and in a burst of light appeared before the group.

Twilight gasped and then bowed. "Princess Celestia!!" The rest of the group followed and all but princess Luna and Siege where bowing. "Tia what are you doing here?" Luna cried out.

"I'm here to welcome our guest." Celestia said looking at the creature before her. "What a lovely welcoming party. I didn't think I ment that much to you." Siege replied with a little grin on his face. "I'd love to say in chat but there is something that must be dealt with first. Make your questions quick, time of the essence."

"What is your name and what are you doing here?" Princess Celestia Began.

"My name is Siege and I am here to protect this system and all who live in it. Well almost all at least."

"Where did you learn to use magic?"

"As I told your sister, I simply attuned myself to this worlds energy."

"How long have you been here?"

"About 60 years, give or take a few months."

"Final question. Was it you that caused the energy outbursts we have been seeing?"

"No Princess, for that is the reason I stand before you. Now I will be off, you will get the rest of your answers once my mission is complete. Thank you for your time but i must be on my way." Siege ended with a smile.

At that point Siege took a few steps away from the camp and suddenly disappeared.

The group of ponies stop trying to make sense of the events that had just taken place. Many of them had had a sleepless night and they where looking for any place to sleep.  The two princesses walked away to talk, as all the ponies started following asleep. They slept soundly but many questions still lingered.
