That Time When Twilght Sparkle's Head Exploded
This really is the life, Spike thought to himself, as he finished tidying up the library. It was ususally the last thing on his to-do list each day, since Twlight had the tendency to... reorganize it. Every day. But he didn't mind. I've got more than any dragon could ever ask for. A nice home. A warm bed. Great friends that care about me.
He yawned as he started up the stairs to said bed, making sure to leave the light on for Twilight when she came home. Not to mention, my love... He looked hastily around before moving his bed aside, lifting up the creaky floorboard underneath, and pulling out the framed picture within. He looked at the picture, smiling stupidyly as he read the familiar signature, "For my favorite helper, Spikey Wikey."
"Ah..." he sighed, "my sweet. One day soon we'll be together... Just four more years of helping Rarity harvest gems, and you'll be all mine..."
He licked the glass covered image of the massive, dark green emerald and continued gazing longingly at the picture, tongue dangling out. There was no telling how long he would have spent sitting there, staring, had his reverie not been broken by the sound of the door downstairs opening and closing.
He quickly returned his future love back to its home, rushing to safeguard the sanctity of his hiding spot. Twilight had already found his last one when she had wanted to surprise him by cleaning the house. He blushed. Don't want to go through that again.
