Chapters Broken noses and startled mares
The mane six and spike gathered on the first floor of the library. Everyone had rushed to the library when Twilight had explained the situation. Rainbow Dash was hovering in the air shadowboxing while everypony else had formed a semicircle around Twilight to hear her read the letter out loud."I will come to speak to you when I can figure out where it has appeared.
Huh, the princess really needs a royal spell checker. So what do you think girls?" asked Twilight. " Ah reckon we should wait and see just as the princess says. What you think Shy?"
Applekack asked. Fluttershy hid behind her mane. "Um I agree with Applejack, this creature sounds really scary." Said Fluttershy. Rarity was brushing her mane with her magic holding the brush." This dreadful creature sounds like a ruffian from everfree forest.By chance do you think it shall appear there Twilight?" asked Rarity. Pinkiepie setting down a tray of sweetrolls on the coffee table.
" Pinkie what are you doing?" asked Rainbow dash. "Im setting out a tray of sweetrolls for the monster! I hope Butch 101 doesn't steel them!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Whos Butch 101?" asked Applejack. " Butch is that little colt who stole my first batch and ran off with them." Said Pinkie." who cares about Butch, i want to know why your laying out treats for a monster?" asked Rainbow." How did you come up with them sweetrolls anyway pinkie?" asked Applejack.
"Oh i got the idea from my friend sanguine. He showed me how to make them."said pinkie. All the mares look at each other in confusion. "Pinkie whos this sanguine feller?"asked Applejack. All of the mares were staring at pinkie waiting for an answer."Oh he's this pony with horns, and he comes to and loves all my parties! pinkie exclaimed."Wait how can a pony have horns and why haven't we seen him?" asked Twilight." Oh he only comes when there's a party and said he could get real trouble if his brothers or sisters ever knew he was here so he never stays." said Pinkie. Twilight,Applejack,Rarity,Rainbow and Fluttershy were completely confused at this point so they dropped the subject as pinkie being pinkie. " Going back on subject girls, we have to be ready, i suppose we all stay here and wait for the princess to find the creature."said Twilight.
"Sounds like a plan"said Applejack. "If i must "said Rarity."Ok, if thats what you want" said Fluttershy."uuugh come on Twi"complained Rainbow."Come on dash i got some daring do books you could read to pass the time." and with that Twilight and Rainbow walk over to a bookshelf to look for the daring do series and everypony else(and spike) went on to idle things while they waited for the Princess to message them.
-Meanwhile in the black-hole-
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH.AAAAAAHHHHHH!!" OK falling into a sightless, dark, and overall FRIGHTENING portal after getting kicked off a bridge by a deadra was a little startling.So much that I couldn't stop screaming. (Although i should have ran out of air an hour ago.) While screaming i calculated that i had been falling for an hour or so. Where ever i was being sent to, it was taking a long time to get there. I took inventory and realized i still had everything as far as could tell. My lute and my magic pack filled with all the things i couldn't leave the house without, all tucked in my sleeveless chainmail chestpiece.(Author:small detail, will come in later) As i started to stop screaming, i saw an image quickly approaching. The image i saw was a shelf in what seemed to be a library.As i realized i was going straight into it, i did what anyone flying into a wall would do...i screamed. "AAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" I yelled as passed through the portal, facefirst into a shelf and fell on the ground knocking books off the shelves,and on to my body. I thought i heard a few startled gasps and an "eep" as i drifted into unconsciousness.
-The library 5 minutes before the crash-
During the wait the mane six(and Spike) found idle things to do while they waited.Rarity had convinced spike to brush her mane while she looked at herself in a mirror." As much as i adore my mane, i need something new and fresh. Do you think so spikey?" Rarity asked. Spike continued to brush her mane as he said."Oh you know me Rarity i think you look pretty no matter what you what you look like." "aaw! that sweet of you spike but i think i should change it up a bit."said rarity.Applejack and(forcibly by applejack)Fluttershy was still trying to pry some information about sanguine from pinkie.
"Come on Pinkie! How come none of us seen 'em?"asked Applejack."Well he kinda sounds like one of my goat friends with those horns you mentioned."said Fluttershy. "No he's just a pony with horns!" said pinkie "Come on guys its just pinkie being pinkie." "What ever you say dash"said AJ as she went into the kitchen to bake a pie for the wait.Twilight was finishing sorting the new books. While rainbow was reading a DD book on the couch."Aaaand done. Now i can we pla-what is that noise?" She and the other mares start to hear, what could only be described as a 'noise', coming from what seemed to be the air."What the hay is that?!"said applejack as she walked out of the kitchen.A black portal appeared in front of twilight and she jumped to the side.She puts an ear towards the portal." i think its coming from here." The rest of the mane six walked to the portal, keeping to the sides of it. "AHHHHH" "Ah think its screaming"said AJ."AAAAAHHHHH-*slam*."
Suddenly a metal clad creature flew out of the portal, slammed into the shelf of new books and knocked them all off and landed on the metal creature.
"WHAT THE HAY?"said AJ
"YAY! said Pinkiepie.
"WHAT THE?"said RD.
"BY CELESTIA!"said Rarity.
"Eep!" said Fluttershy as she hid behind the couch.
"MY BOOKS!!!!"said Twilight.
Introductions(and Twilight has a nerdgasm)
-The library-
I woke up minutes later as you could exspect still on the floor covered head to toe in books.I slowly slid my hand to my face and almost reeled back at what I felt. From the blood dripping out of nose and how soft my face was, I could tell things had been broken.'Have...to get...up.' I managed to think as my head hurt just as much as my face. As I pushed myself up I started to hear voices and then gasps.'Who's ever library I crashed into, I hope they can forgive me for intruding.'I thought as got to my feet and readied my hand for a healing spell. I kept my eyes closed in concentration.
As i released my concentration i felt the bones in my face heal and opened my eyes.I opened my eyes to see...6 small brightly colored horses.'not the strangest things I've seen.' I thought. "Um hello...horses?" I said not really prepared for the reaction i got. All six horses gasped and backed up.All except one. the pink colored horse bounced up to me, how she did this i did not know. "HiImpinkiepiewhatsyourname?"It said in one breath. To be honest i was not prepared for it to speak."Aah!"I yelled. A horse with a rainbow mane and...wings?It flew at the pink one and caught it, covered it's mouth midair.
"Pinkie what are doing?It said.
"Did it just talk?!"said the lavender one.
"Eep" said the yellow one hiding behind what i thought was furniture.
"What the hay is it?"said the orange one.
The lavender one walked a bit closer to me cautiously.
"Um hello Can. You. Speak?" It said slowly.
Considering how many times I've had dealings with talking animals and objects, I have chose always to keep calm as possible.
"Yes I can speak, I have to ask...who are you and where am I?" I asked.
It was obviously taken back by my speech but straightened her posture.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle and your in Equestria."
'Huh new realm populated with horses that can talk. Well its obvious that I'm gonna be here for LONG time.'I thought. I had made a spell long ago that would allow me to change what i'm wearing on the go. Since I knew introductions were going to be a while i "Insta-changed" into my black fine clothing and took off my turbin to let down my hair. It was a simple black set of robes with a belt, and my hair was long tied back dreadlocks.All the ponies were surprised my sudden change of clothing.
"Did you just do magic?!" asked Twilight.
"Why yes i did, i wanted to get comfy because i know these introductions are going to be long. So what are you?"I said.
At this point the mare had a excited look on her face as levitated a quill and parchment and started to speak.
" Were ponies, but i want to know how can do magic without a horn, what are you,where your from and what your name is."she said in an excited tone.
"Well first of all, I'm human, second most humans with the mind to do magic can do magic,third i come from from the dimension of nirn, and forth ( and you should have asked this first) is Le'son Onsi traveling bard, dragonborn, arch-mage of the mage's college, and ender of the skyrim civil war." I said."Also you may have forgotten about you friends behind you."
"Yeah Twi you could had let us introduce ourselves before you went on converse'n with the monster."Said the orange one.
"Ello there Mr.Onsi ah'm Applejack."
"I'm Rarity and I must say your attire is beautiful" said the white one with amazing hair.
"Hmpf, I'm Rainbow dash and you better not try anything funny"said the rainbow maned pony.
"Um I'm Fluttershy and if its fine with you I'm gonna stay back here" she said from behind the couch.
"WANT A SWEETROLL?!" said the one known as Pinkiepie as she apeared out of nowhere with a tray of sweetrolls.
"Um no thank you miss." I said still trying to figure out where she came from.All the mares started to form a semi-circle around me.
"With introductions out of the way, you said you were dragonborn, what is that?" asked Twilight.
"Yeah what is that, was your mom or dad a dragon?" asked a voice from behind me.
I turned around and it took every fiber of my being not to go on the offensive. Behind me was a small dragon. Sure I was friends with two WAY bigger dragons but I was still un-easy around them.
"Are you a dragon?" I asked the little drake.
"Um yeah, my name is Spike why?" said the drake.
"Then you wont like this story. Before I go on i must let you know that the dragons of my realm are evil, vile creatures. They are intelligent but most use this intelligence to destroy and conquer." They all looked shocked at this.
"Thats horrible, but please tell us what is a dragonborn?"asked Twilight.
"A dragonborn is a person blessed by the gods to permenitly vanquish dragons by absorbing their souls. But before you judge me for this, know that dragons respect those who can defeat them. While I absorb them they pass an understanding to me of how to use their power out of that respect. In fact I have two dragon friends and one of them can explain their nature" I explained.
The six mares calmed down but Spike was still uneasy.
"So they dont die angry?"asked Fluttershy.
"No, in fact they live through me and help me understand their power." I said.
"So what is this power these dragons have?"asked Twilight.
"In my realm dragons use their very language to project fire, ice, and other abilities, actually i would like to have Spike's help demonstrating this." I said looking at Spike. He still looked afraid of me. I couldn't blame him. I just told him that I could kill him and eat his soul. So I'll have to gain his trust.
And i had a suspicion that the other mares didn't trust me. 'I'll have to remedy that' I thought.
"Well lets not get ahead of ourselves,we still need to wait for the princess to see you."said Twilight.
"Who is this princess?" i asked.
Twilight smiled at this."She's the ruler of equestria and raiser of the sun."
'Didnt Azura say something about the sun raiser before she KICKED me over the bridge?' I thought.
"Well then in the mean time you can have someone watch me while we wait,though i promise i wont be any trouble." I said as 3 mares disbanded from the semi-circle.Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkiepie stayed. Rarity and Applejack talked while Pinkiepie was still offering me sweetrolls.
"So what's with that there hair do of yours?" asked AJ.playing as the song went on everyone stopped and listened totally captivated.
"Oh sod”. I managed to say before I was pelted with blasts of green energy I knew all too well as parelization.Multiple shots hit me in quick repetition. Luckily after so many magical mishaps at the college i learned to be over-cautious and carry with me 2 pieces of anti-magic items with me at all times. That gold ring just saved my hide. The Mare stopped firing magic and i just stood there perfectly still just for what Delvin would call "shits and giggles".
“Princess what are you doing?!” Yelled twilight.
“He was enthralling you with his spell!” She said who I now know as Celestia
“He was playing beautiful music and you just blasted him!” Yelled Rarity.
"You may have gone bit overboard sugarcube.”said Applejack
“I'm still here you know” I said suddenly
They all looked to me surprised
“Why are not a statue and how do you speak?” asked Celestia
“I carry with me enchanted items that can absorb magic at all times and I am human”
“Enchantments? Well you’re obviously not a neanderthal, why are you in my dimension what were you doing to my little ponies?” She asked (A/N: TWICE! that is exactingly how many times I’m going to say that damn line.)
“Like rarity said princess the monkey was just his guitar thing” said Rainbow
“Its called a lute” I said with distain.
“I still would like to know what you are doing in my dimension” said Celestia
‘I might as well not hold back’ I thought. “I was banished here by the deadric prince Azura. “
“What is a deadric prince, is he the lord of you dimention?” Asked twilight
“Yes and no daedric princes are powerful creatures from another dimension called oblivion that can interact with my dimension of nirn but do not rule over it as much as they believe to”
“There are more than one?” asked twilight
“16 to be precise” I said
“How can a kingdom function like that?”
“Nirn is not a kingdom its an entire dimension of different races, the aldmeri, bosmer,orcs,nords, argonian…” I went on.
Take out a rampaging dragon that so far has destroyed 2 buildings, 10 carts and injured 4 ponies...without killing it?

Twilight makes a friend and Spike earns a brake
After Celestia left it was decided that we wouldn’t start training until I could get settled in and things had calmed down. Fluttershy said she had to attend to her "animal friends" and Pinkie Pie said she needed to help her friends the "Cake" family, what little damage done to their bakery. Applejack ran off with a cream colored filly to check on her family. Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Rarity, and Spike brought me back to the library to talk more on my world. When we got there, they took their seats on the couch while I sat on the floor.

After Fluttershy left, I decided to look out the window to check progress on the town. All the debris from the dragon had been cleaned up quickly. The buildings were another story though; the ones that were hit weren't completely destroyed, but thoroughly damaged.
Me, Rainbow, and Spike, started walking to the once great bakery, which was now covered in soot. As we were walking, pink blur came out of thin air and tackle me to the ground.she started to sing .
The cloth storm (Filler at its best)
After we left the bakery, we stood in front of the candy-coated building to observe the surprising progress on the town. Frame-work was already on some buildings, and others were completely repaired.
I was dumbfounded.
Rainbow saw my surprise and smiled. “Mayor Mare told you that we build fast.”
“I know what she said but I’ve never seen anyone, or anypony as the case may be, build that fast.” I said. SERIOUSLY! Last time I was at Whiterun they were still repairing walls and houses. And the war ended 3 YEARS AGO!
“Alright come on, Rarity’s boutique is over there.” Rainbow pointed to a tall white building that had been scorched over the doorway.
“You’re not coming?” Spike questioned.
“Of course not! We just got a HUGE unscheduled rain storm. The weather team has to be freaking out.”
Spike stared at her skeptically, crossing his arms. “You just wanna tell the story don’t you?”
“Ah, Spike, you know me so well. Well, see you guys later.” She took off so fast that the wind she created pulled on my robes.
“Well then, I see that she wasn’t lying about being fast. Let’s go Spike." We gladly started walking.
As we were walking, I noticed just how well the towns people, or well ponies, were getting over the dragon attack. Most were just carrying on with their day. Others were picking up and repairing their wrecked carts and stands with smiles on their faces.
“Near destruction must be regular in this world.”
“Well not completely regular, it’s just that after dealing with Pinkie for so many years, the ponies here just get used to strange stuff. What REALLY got everypony scared was Discord.”
“What is this “discord”?” I said with air quotes.
“Discord is a draconis that is capable of doing anything. And I mean ANYTHING. From making it rain chocolate milk to making the time of day change spontaneously. Seriously, he made Pinkie seem normal.” He said with a worried look.
“Sounds like another party animal I know. Is he still around?”
“No, Twilight and the girls beat him using the elements of harmony and turned him to stone.”
“Well I’m gonna have to see these weapons myself. Anything that can take out a madgod must be powerful.”
“When we get back to the library, I’ll have twilight look ‘em up for you, but I need to ask you something.”
“Go for it.”
“When…when you said you killed dragons…how many?”
I dreaded this conversation. I hate to talk about the killing of any creature. It always brings me guilt. As a leader and a teacher, guilt was something I couldn’t afford to show.
“I take no pleasure in saying this Spike but I’ve honestly lost count. In my world dragons attacked relentlessly and someone had to stop them from hurting innocent people, I couldn't hesitate.”
Spike’s worried expression never changed. “And when you say you earned their respect…what does that mean?”
“You see, the dragons of my world are very prideful. Although they are merciless, it is their nature. But when someone can beat them…they must honor that person’s strength. That is what it means to have a dragon’s respect.”
“Well I guess that’s cool. Here we are.” We approached the scorched door.
"I wonder how Rarity is taking the damage." Spike kicked at the ground.
We walked in and saw pure chaos. Cloth and various gems were swirling around the room, covered in a blue aura. In the middle of the mess was Rarity. Her horn was glowing in the same aura as the items.
"NO NO NO! This is all WRONG." She levitated more cloth and gems to a pony-shaped manikin. They began to arrange themselves into what I could guess was pony-fashion... if you can call an emerald covered mess fashion. 'This woman uses WAY too many gems'
"Excuse me, miss Rarity, do you need help?"
The cloth storm stopped and everything fell on the floor. Rarity turned around to be both surprised and embarrassed.
"Sorry for barging in miss Rarity, just wanted to see if you were busy."
Rarity calmed herself, wiping a bead of sweat off her forehead. "Heh, think nothing of it dear. I am just a bit stressed."
"What’s going on?" Spike asked Rarity while she was picking up gems off the floor with her magic and placing them into a chest.
"An order for Canterlot is supposed to go out tomorrow! But with Onsi's arrival and the dragon attack, I couldn't finish the designs because of...DESIGNERS BLOCK!!” She feinted on a couch that literally came out of nowhere.
I couldn't keep my eyes off the gems still scattered on the ground. The various gems on the ground were calling to the thief in me. I held it back and brought my attention back to Rarity.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Rarity, maybe these could give you some inspiration?" I reached into my robes, pulling out a set of Dunmer mage robes and showing them to her.The robes were long and red, embroidered with yellow cloth at the edges. Rarity jumped off the couch and ran to the robes, eyeing them like a general would to a battle map.
"Oh my, Mr. Onsi, these robes are absolutely fabulous! Where did you get them?"
"Don’t worry about that little detail. You can use these for your designs and hurry up on those orders. I'm going to need you to fill a BIG order soon and trust me, it will require your attention."
Rarity looked at me with uncertainty but then smiled. "Well darling with these robe designs I'll be done by tonight. But I would like to know what could possibly need all of my attention."
"One word my dear...ENCHANTMENT!" I yelled with excitement.
Rarity jumped back surprised but settled down and looked me curiously. "You mean you’re going to enchant clothes?"
"And armor. We're going to need armor for you girls and whoever else wants to fight. Rarity, we’re going to need a blacksmith."
Her face turned into a deep frown. "You mean working with dirt and fire and, egad, metal? Absolutely not, Mr. Onsi!" She turned her head.
"Alright then. You can be in charge of the enchantments, I'll see if Applejack wants the job.”
She settled and took the robes away from me using her magic. "Then it’s settled. I'll get started on the robes for Canterlot and we'll talk about this order later." With that said, she walked into a back room holding the robes, and A LOT of cloth and gems.
"Well that didn't go as planned" Spike sighed.
"Hardly anything does for me. Can you take me to Applejack?"
"Alright! Next stop, Sweet Apple Acres!"
We walked out of the boutique and began heading to the place called Sweet Apple Acres.
Our story begins as we see a man walking across a large cobblestone bridge over a waterfall on the side of a mountain. As we get a closer look of the man we see he has brown skin and is wearing armor. The armor is black chainmail, he’s also wearing white, (almost silver),cotton trousers, and steel boots. The most distinguishing part of his armor set was his black turbin. It was from this headwear, that we could tell he was a redguard.
How can I tell he was a redguard? That’s because that man is me. Let me introduce myself, I am Le’son Onsi, traveling skald, dragonborn, arch-mage of winterhold and ender of the skyrim civil war. Le’son is strange name for a redguard isn’t it? Mother was a breton and father was a redguard. Mother INSISTED I have a Breton name. Why I speak of them in the past tense is a story for another day, as this day I was wandering around the reach countryside strumming my lute, making sure it was tuned properly.
I've always loved music and I always loved the lute, it was the first instrument I played and this one held a special place in my heart.
As i was walking thought i heard a rumbling but it quickly stoped and ignored it. It was then I saw a lightning bolt go past my head. I turned around completely calm, to see a-BY THE SANDS AN ARMY of Thalmor warriors. From first glance I could see about 20 men. The man who shot the bolt was the only one of the soldiers in Thalmor robes, obviously the commander.The high elf had a long black beard and even longer hair coming from under his hood. “We meet again boy” Said the man. ‘I remember that voice’ I thought. That man was the reason I had to leave Hammerfell. He is the reason I carry this elven sword. Logain Aegis was the reason that I would have no qualms killing today…or just him at least. I don’t normally kill but always keep the sword to maim those who came close and couldn’t hit with magic.
“YOU” I said with great disdain. “Yes me boy, it seems you caused quite a stir in the dominion, so much that they had to call me. Well I hope you've prayed to your false-god dragon-FARCE, because your going to see him today”! After he was done with his mediocre speech, he raised and waved his arm forward and 10 of his men came at me with lightning and elven swords in hand.
They realized their mistake quickly as i used my favorite shout, “OD AH VING!” I said and my dragon friend Odahving responded by diving into my attackers and flying back into the air with 3 of them with him. The 7 that remained were completely stunned and staring at Odahving coming in for another dive. I used that chance to shoot balls of paralyzing magic at the attackers. As they fell to the ground I had a wide smile on my face.
Logain’s face however had gone from smug to worry. He ran to the back of his small army, opened his hands and generated a bubble field around him. ‘Damn! Well he’ll come last then’ I thought as the last 9 of his men started shooting lightning bolts at me. Of course with no progress as the bolts only hit my armor to dissipate, as I had long ago enchanted my armor to COMPLETELY brush off magic. Logain's jaw was agape when he realized what had happened. “My turn” I said as I reached into my pocket and pulled out my soulstone, a gem that was half soulgem and half cobblestone. This little stone would be their defeat.
This little stone was my own invention. After many mistakes (and explosions) I made a device that could channel a smaller spell into a shockwave of magic. My attackers fired more spells at me in vain as I stabed my stone into the ground, leaving some of the stone above ground. “Say goodnight!”I said as I shot a paralyzing ball of energy into the stone. The result was….magnificent. when the ball hit the stone a HUGE version of the spell came out, spreading across the mountain possibly hitting the fish below. The Thalmor soldiers stood in place not moving a muscle.
” Move you IDIOTS!” I was disappointed with the commander. He should know that these men wouldn’t be moving for a LONG time. I moved slowly to Logain, tipping over his troops along the way.“You wont escape this time” I un-sheaved my elven sword as he finally lowered his bubble shield and un-sheaved his sword. “Well then lets fin-“ he didn’t even finish that senence as I stabbed his knee. “AAAHHH” he screamed as he squirmed on the ground.
"No more talking, your going to die for what you've done" I said while pulling out Azura's star and planting my foot firmly his chest..
"what are you going to do?" he asked.The look on His face was pure terror.
My response was slashing his arms. He writhe in pain as I took my foot's weight off of him replaced it with Azura's star.
"You know what Logain? After years of studying magic and the un-known I finally know how to give you the punishment you deserve." I had my hand on the star, it firm on his chest and my sword over the star.
"Again, what are you going to do?"He asked, his voice nearly cracking.
I smiled at what i was about to say."Only Talos knows."
Before anything else could be said i brought down the blade into the star,and sank it into to his heart.
Then his entire body was engulfed in blue light.The light died and I opened my eyes to see a new sword.
The blade was still elven but everything else was different. The guard was mix of the star and the elven sword,the center being Azura's star but the sides of the star spread like eagle wings.The pommel was no longer wings either but a flat bottom. The grip was that of the dwarven sword, and looked like the perfect fit in my hands.
The sword was sticking out of the ground and i was sitting on the ground bewildered, amazed, and....hollow.
Just like the other 3 times I've killed I felt...hollow.
'hmm i'll have drink that feeling away later' I thought as i got up and walk torwords my new sword.
As i picked it up a purple glowing orb appeared in front of me. And there stood a 7 foot tall woman wearing a white toga, with a bright orb in her right hand and a dark arb in the other.
All i could think was 'oh sod its Azura.'
Twilight sparkle was organizing a new shipment of books.She distictly told Spike to be at home before the new books came so she wouldn't have to sort and organize by herself, but the baby drake is nowhere to be seen.'Oh he is not getting any rubies today' she thought as she continued to organize the new books, placing them on the shelves with her magic.
Spike walked into the the library, carrying a bag on his back. Twilight turned to him with a annoyed look on her face."Spike i thought i told you to be back here 5 minutes ago!" Spike took the bag and placed it on the table. "Sorry Twi, Pinkie said she made a new treat and wanted me to taste test it" said spike as he reached into the bag. "Well what was so great about this treat that you had to b-what is that?" she said as she stared at what Spike had in his hand.
Spike had in his hand a tube of dough that was toped off with frosting." I think she called it a sweet roll" Spike said as he took a bite. " Wait if thats dough, why were you handling the bag like that, and how is that still soft?" she asked as Spike finished the pastry." And with that she kicked, yes KICKED,me in the chest over the edge of the bridge. I turned around midair only to see a a glowing black glowing portal. As I was hurling towards a black hole I did what any normal person would...i screamed.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHH-" My screaming only ended when I pasted through the portal and into the unknown.
