Princess Celestia send Luna and Twilight Sparkle to address a attack the griffons made on ponies near their borders. Luna and Twilight grow closer as they spend their days traveling together. Somewhere along the lines Twilight is replaced with a changeling and darker plans involving an old friend of Celestia's come into play. Upon reaching the Griffon kingdom, the princess is swiftly attacked and captured. Once locked up, she find the real Twilight already there waiting for her. As Luna and Twilight play the hostage, the rest of Equestria is plunged into chaos. While Twilight and Luna try to escape, the news of a falling Equestria continually reaches their ears. It seems no matter what they do, they just keep sinking deeper and deeper into a bottomless abyss.
