Chapter 5: Canterlot, or for some, World 2

Back in Bowser's Castle...

Bowser just sat in his throne, staring at the computer screens in anger.

"Gaaah! They're going to arrive in Canterlot in an hour!!!" Bowser panicked.

"Don't worry, I was reading this book some guy Ludwig von Koopa wrote about comets, and I found great information that can stop those pests..." Discord said evily.

"Oh, let me see..." Bowser grabbed a pair of little glasses for reading, because he can't see very well.

"Purple Comet: It forces the one who watched the comet to collect around 100 purple coins in a time limit of 2 minutes, if the watcher does not collect all the 100 purple coins, a cosmic clone will appear and pursue the one who watched the comet."
Bowser quietly readed the information of the comet.

"And this one... it says, Cosmic Comet: When one dares to watch this comet, a cosmic copy, or clone, will appear and will either challenge the watcher to a race or it will spawn three cosmic clones that pursue and try to kill the watcher. The only way of getting rid of the clones is either winning the race or grabbing a SuperStar and destroying the clones." Bowser removed his glasses and grinned evily.

"This is gonna be of great assistance..." Bowser laughed.

"And I forgot one! The Daredevil one!" Discord said.

"It says: The one who dares to watch this comet will be weakened to the point any physical damage causes fainting." Discord said with his casual voice.

"OK, let's send these comets to Canterlot. Troops! Prepare the Comet Launcher!!!"

Almost one mile away from Canterlot...

"Oh yeah!" Just half a mile to arrive!" Yoshi and Luigi chanted in pure happines.

"I'm glad to see you could stand the trip without drinking a sip of water." Fluttershy said.

"W-what!? We had water the whole time?!?!?" Yoshi screamed.

"Don't you remember? The CMC gave us provisions and... some strange items they claimed 'got from strange blocks with a question mark'." Fluttershy said while grabbing a weird, shiny gold flower with the exact same appareance as a fire flower.

"Wow! The CMC really got it! The legendary Gold Flower!" Luigi exclaimed while forgetting the thirst that was killing him.

"A gold flower?" Fluttershy said, while examining the weird flower.

"The user gets a sparkling gold-made or silver-made body, and the powers of the wearer increment; the endurance, resistance to long falls, and the ability to shot golden or silver fireballs that can transform almost any material into coins, or bits." Luigi explained as Yoshi and Fluttershy looked in awe, specially Yoshi, who was thinking about all the money he could get with that little friend.

Fiush! Blaaam!!! Zoom!!! Strange sounds where heard in the sky, and, when Luigi and Yoshi looked at the sky, inmediately recognized the colored comets heading towards Canterlot: the doom of anyone who dared watching them.

"By Our Princess Peach!!! Comets!!!" Luigi and Yoshi where running in panic.

"Heh? More?" Fluttershy said as she watched the comets cross the sky.

"Let's HURRY UP!!!" Luigi exclaimed as the trio started to run and gallop towards Canterlot.

Meanwhile, in the Canterlot castle...

"Hmm, it seems there is... no, there are various colored comets not seen in Equestria..." Twilight said while watching from a telescope.

"Is there any problem, Twilight?" Suddenly, a larger pony with a beautiful mane and what appeared to be a sun tattoo in her flank appeared, obviously being The Sun Princess, Princess Celestia.

"I guess... those comets aren't mentioned in the great Book of the Comets." Twilight said with a worried look on her face.

"Hmmm... maybe they're nothing. Let's get prepared, guests are coming to the castle, right?" The Princess asked.

"Yes. Fluttershy, a dino and a human, heroes of their world of origin." Twilight answered.

"Ok. Let's get the other four and Luna to get ready." The Princess told Twilight.

"Hmmm, how is Luigi doing?" Mario said as he grabbed the acorn-mushroom like thing from the tree.

Back in Equestria...

"We arrived too late!" Yoshi exclaimed as he pointed to the city of Canterlot, with ponies running everywhere, being chased by strange replicas and, annoyed, collecting purple coins. There where some doing extremely dangerous athletics while avoiding being hit; these athletics where too hard even to Dash.
