Starshine’s POV
It was the start of fall, Autumn’s favorite season as I recall, me and my friend Blacklight were walking by the park, talking to each other about our next music project.
“So, Starshine, What should we do for our song? The Tempest or Flight of the Bumblebee?”
“Well, Blacklight I think it should be the tempest because the flight of the bumblebee is pretty hard for us beginners, don’t you think?”
“True, True”
So, at that moment, I saw her, Autumn Aster, my best friend and also class partner, and secretly my crush, So me and Blacklight walked up to her saying hi.
“Hey Autumn, what’s hangin’?”
Autumn’s POV
I looked up as Starshine and Blacklight walked up to me. I swear, the moment I saw Starshines face my heart started pounding. What? Starshine’s is my crush.
“Nothing Much Starshine. How about you? Are you liking the fall?”
“Always loving the colours you and the weather team arrange, Autumn, they’re beautiful, like you”
I swear at that moment, My heart stopped and I bet I was red as a tomato.
“Thanks, Starshine, You don’t look so bad yourself.”
“Thanks Autumn”
Blacklight suddenly interrupts, saying
“Hey Autumn, do you know what we’re going to do for the eco-system in a bottle thingy?”
“Yeah, I mean Ms.Cheerilee gave us the sheet on how to do it, so, it’ll be easy as pie.”
My phone rang, it was 4:30, oh, time for weather patrol, I have to go.
“I’ll see you guys later ok? I have to go weather patrol. bye Starshine, Bye Blacklight.”
Starshine’s POV
I see her figure disappear into the sky as she flies to the weather centre, then suddenly Blacklight jabs me in the stomach and says
“Will you ever have the guts to actually ask her out?”
“I want to, but I’m too scared to actually ask her, thinking she might say no.”
“She can’t say no Star, It’s too obvious that you two like each other. So why don’t you just ask her?”
“It’s not as easy as it looks, Blacklight, I mean, when you tried asking Sumer out, how’d that turned out?”
“A beating and a kiss....and now we’re dating”
“Ok, but still, I’m too scared to break our friendship.”
“ I guess..”
“I gotta get home, cya later Star”
“Cya Light”
I see blacklight walk home from a distance, leaving me alone with time to think.
Should I ask her out? No. I shouldn't. I mean yes. I should. No. I shouldn't. BAH. Why is decision-making so hard? I’m so nervous she’ll break my heart. I guess I can decide tomorrow..
As I fly home, I think about our friendship and how we first met, smiling all the way.
FLASHBACK
It was the first day of middle school, many kids were by their friends except for two, one colt named Starshine Elution and one filly named Autumn Aster, as the boy saw the girl, he trotted to her slowly, saying hi. the filly was nervous, she never talked to anyone that’s not from her class before. but she returned the hi with joy. They became best friends, they were coincidently in the same class, and also the teacher made them sit together, which drew their friendship even closer.
END OF FLASHBACK
I return home, saying good evening to my family, and going right upstairs to my room.
I lie down and think about what I have to do tonight, then I realized, I didn't have anything to do, so I called up Blacklight on skype and we played Minecraft on a server together. He keeps bothering me with make-believe stories that if I ever was to have a child with Autumn, that he should be the uncle blah blah blah yadda yadda. It finally reaches 9:00, time to go to sleep, don’t want to be late for school tomorrow.
As I fall asleep, I dream about Autumn and I, dating, together, peacefully.
