He had one thing in mind:His foal.He pounded up to Twilight's library. "Twilight?How's the foal?" He said,out of breath. Twilight was blocked from view by the other ponies there:Twilight's friends and their mates. "Ain't he cute?He's got Thundr's eyes."Applejack said. "Oh, aren't little foals so adorable?"Fluttershy said softly. Twilight lifted her head up to look at Thunderstorm. He trotted over to look at his foal. In front of him was a small blue unicorn with a plae green mane.And bright blue eyes.His eyes. "Oh, Twilight."He said. Twilight smiled. "He's got your eyes.I was just wondering what we should name him."Twilight said. Thunderstorm laughed. "Aw, I'm no good with names!You pick something!"He said. Pinkie bounced up and down. "OOH!YOU SHOULD NAME HIM PICKLES!"She squealed. Applejack stomped her hoof. "Pinkie, ya' can't go yelling around a little foal like that!He's not crazy like you."Applejack said.Pinkie blushed a little,and kept quiet. Thunderstorm's friend,Rusty,who was also Applejack's mate, walked up to him. "Pickles.I can't believe that pony!Applejack wasn't kidding when she said some of her friends were weird."He whispered. Thunderstorm nodded. Twilight stood up. "I'll think we should call him Jake.It sounds like a name I saw in a book."She said,looking down at her foal.There was a murmur of agreement throughout the ponies. "I think that's a good name.Jake."He said. Just then,they heard frantic knocking on the door. Rusty galloped over to open it. Applejack and Dusty's foal,Gingersnap,was standing there. "Why wouldn't ya let me come with ya!!!"She whined. Applejack trotted over. "Gingersnap!!Why did ya leave the farm?Applebloom was supposed to watch ya!"She said. Gingersnap sighed. "I just really wanted to see tha new filly!" Applejack put her hoof over her face and whispered something that sounded like 'Celestia,help me..'. Twilight looked over to the door. "She can come in as long as she's quiet."Twilight said. Applejack led Gingersnap in.The filly smiled when she saw the new foal. "Aww."She whispered. ************************************************************ Suprisingly, Twilight didn't feel busy at all. All she really had to worry about was Jake. And Spike. Spike was a teenager now, but something odd had happened.He seemed to have stopped growing. Twilight had tried to find out why this happened, but couldn't find anything.She thought that was ok,and so did Spike. "I wish I didn't have to go work everyday.I wish I could stay here with you and Jake."Thunderstorm said before leaving. Twilight smiled. "At least you come home.Some father ponies just leave and never come back."She said,feeling bad for all the mares who had to live like that.It would be hard,that's for sure. "I suppose your'e right,"He said,moving closer."I would never leave you, Twilight.Ever."He said seriously. Twilight nodded. "And that's why I love you." Later that day,a letter arrived.Spike came down the stairs of the library. "Letter from the Princess,Twilight!"He said. Twilight took the letter.She hadn't gotten a reply from the last letter she had sent.This must be it.She opened it,and read it: Dear Twilight Sparkle, I haven't written in ages,my friend.I would like to congratulate you on your new family.Tell everypony I said hello. But now I must get on to more important matters. The 6 of your foals are different than most.Luna has been Stargazing lately,and she saw something.She would not tell me exactly what she saw,but she said something about six fillies.They must be you and your friends'.They will do great things ,Twilight.Each of them can control an Element of Harmony,but they also can use different kinds of Elements that not even you can use. I fear that another great evil will soon be upon Equestria. Not Discord, but maybe something worse. Protect them while you can.I will come to Ponyville when the time is right.                                                                                                       Sincerely, Princess Celestia Twilight dropped the letter.Spike looked nervous. "What did you read?What did she say?"He asked her. Twilight said nothing for a second. "She...she...said something...something evil will come to Equestria..and only our foals can defeat it.Oh, Spike."She said shakily. Twilight imagined Jake fighting off something terrible.What if he got hurt?What if he di...no,she couldn't think of that. She never wanted to think of that. "Something evil?Like Discord?But I mean,you guys can fight him with the Elements!"Spike said, looking around.He looked at the book about the Elements.It was on the shelf next to him. "Not Discord.She said it wasn't Discord.And she also said that we couldn't defeat it!"Twilight said,scared. What would she do if a filly was in danger,and she couldn't do anything to help?
