Privy to an informant who tells him of the fate of the Crystal Empire, a researcher from Canterlot makes his way to the forgotten city to make his fortune through discovery of its salvation. But the ponies there are different, and as the process of research grows more and more frustrating, he finds a method for relief that would be more than questionable if any pony there could remember it.
