Pierce the Netherscape: Enter Oblivionby Lance SkyesChapters1: Begining of the End2: The Longhunter and the Hunted3: Infiltration4: Storm the City5: End of the Campaign1: Begining of the End Rei Sonkei is seen sneaking through an air vent carrying an AK-47. He hears a faint crying nearby and moves quietly towards the source. He comes to a small, circular room. Twilight Sparkle is sitting in the middle of the room crying. Rei slowly opens the vent cover and jumps into the room. Twilight looks over and gasps, ready to scream. Rei quickly moves his hooves in front of him to quiet Twilight, who pays attention and remains quiet. Rei holsters his gun in his saddlebag and walks to a switch on the other side of the room. The moment he pulls it, the lights go out. When the red emergency lights come on, Rei is surrounded by flesh eaters (minions of Oblivion, go to Turok wiki) and Twilight is nowhere to be seen. Rei un-holsters his weapon and starts spraying gunfire. When he is out of ammo, one of the flesh eaters sees his opening and fires at Rei, who is knocked against the wall and downed. Rei tries to reach for his weapon, but another flesh eater kicks it away. It then raises its sword and brings it down upon Rei. Suddenly, Ron, a 14-year-old Mexican Turok enthusiast and the human equivalent of Rei Sonkei, wakes up to his third Oblivion nightmare that month. “I have got to stop playing Turok,” he says to himself. The next day, Ron’s friends Shane, a tall young Mexican with short hair and glasses, and Jaye, a shorter American with blonde hair and what seems almost like a saddlebag, are talking with each other at lunch. Then Ron walks over, looking as though he got caught in a mud slide, but got no mud on him. “Rough night, again?” asked Shane. “Yeah,” replied Ron, sitting down. “I’m telling you, there’s something fishy about these dreams I’m having. It’s as though - and this is gonna sound weird for all of us - Twilight’s calling for help.” Shane began laughing hysterically but Jaye seemed like he knew Ron knew what he was talking about. “Funny you should talk about that,” said Jaye. “Shane and I were just talking about a way that the three of us can say ‘F you’ to Earth and move to Equestria.” Jaye then pulled out what looked like a map and put it on the table that the three of them were sitting at. “What we see here is a map of the multiverse. Here is the dimension we reside in, the one we perceive as our known universe. Rather close to our known universe is Equestria. This means that, with the right supplies and methods, beings from either here or Equestria can cross over into the other dimension. However, the space between each dimension across the multiverse, called the Netherscape, is very dangerous.” “Hmm...” said Ron to himself, “I’ve heard the word Netherscape before, but I can’t remember what it represents...” “It doesn’t matter,” said Shane, “Jaye still needs time to figure everything out.” Just then, the final bell of the day rang. “If you people need me, I’m gonna go do some sniping on Call of Duty. I can give you the ip for the server I play on if you want.” “No thanks,” said Ron, “There’s some velociraptors that need a taste of my assault rifle.” “And I just told you guys what I’ll be doing,” said Jaye. “Let’s meet back here on Monday.” And with that, they all walked off. Over the weekend, Ron was playing Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. He had just started a new file on which he will play it on hard mode without cheats. He had made it to the first Factory portal. “Bring it on, O-bitch-ion,” he said, feeling proud of his pun. He had walked into the larger area of the factory, where he expected the same speech from Oblivion, giving a cryptic message about what it was. However, this time, Oblivion said something different. “Rei Sonkei,” Oblivion said in its dark and hoarse voice, “you and your friends will fail. The multiverse must fall. Discord and The Lich will assist me in my battle. You three will spend eternity in the void. Enter the Netherscape at your own peril. Challenge me and my army... and you will. Forsake. Your. Future.” Suddenly, Ron’s game crashed, leaving him sitting in front of his tv, confused. “What just happened?” he asked the blank tv screen. The following Monday, Ron, Shane, and Jaye met up again. Ron was about to tell the others what had happened the previous weekend, but Jaye spoke up first. “Guys, I figured it out. I know what we have to do. We have to find a wormhole.” “Huh,” said Shane. “Is that all we have to do? I’m no expert, but aren’t the chances of finding a wormhole the same as the chances of being attacked by every type of insect known in the world while in Antarctica all in the same day?” “Close,” replied Jaye, “unless you have an object of power, which I do happen to have.” “Jaye,” said Ron, “how do you know all this stuff?” “Remember a few months ago when I was bleeding all over the place in the back of the room, but the blood was cyan rather than red?” “Yeah,” said Shane. “And weren’t there strange symbols on your desk?” “There’s more to me than either of you two can fathom. Don’t ask questions, just follow my instructions. Got it?” Shane and Ron looked at each other for a moment, then turned to Jaye and nodded their heads. “If you can get us to Equestria,” said Shane, “we’ll follow what you say.” “Good. I should have everything ready by tomorrow night. Sleep well, my little bronies...” “We are not going along with this if you do that again,” said Ron. “Fine,” said Jaye. With that, they all walked off. That night, Ron had the same dream as a few nights before. He was Rei Sonkei sneaking through the air vent towards the crying Twilight Sparkle. He moved to activate the switch which made Twilight disappear and cause the flesh eaters to appear. Once more, he tried to fight off the flesh eaters, but he was, once again, shot and downed. Except this time, as the one flesh eater was about to kill Rei, a strange figure rushed behind the flesh eater and sliced it clean in half with a very thin but powerful blade. The flesh eater slowly fell, leaving Rei confused about what had happened. He looked up to the figure that had saved him. It was what looked like a human with a blue cloak. The symbol on the cloak seemed almost familiar though he had never seen it before, though he couldn’t make it out. “Run,” the figure said. Rei tried to reply, but couldn’t speak, so he simply got up and moved as fast as he could out the exit, as badly injured as he was. He was running on three hooves, using the fourth to try to keep his wound from bleeding too badly. He was going down a long hallway, trying to outrun the pursuing flesh eaters. Suddenly, the hallway ended and there was nothing but a deep, dark hole. Suddenly, he saw the figure that had saved him, before. “Get on,” it said. Rei followed his instructions and got on to the figures back. Then the figure morphed into a blue pegasus and flew Rei across the gap. On the other side, the blue pegasus landed and let Rei off. Rei turned to thank him, but it had turned into another flesh eater and gunned Rei down. As it was about to finish Rei, it said “We will see you soon.” Then, the dream ended, and Ron shot up out of his bed, breathing heavily. “‘See you soon?’ What does that mean?” Ron tried to figure it out right then, but his alarm clock had gone off. “Maybe I’ll ask Jaye about it.” Ron then got up and got ready to go to school. “Hopefully this can be a normal Tuesday.” Fortunately for Ron, it was a normal Tuesday. At least until the end of the day, when he met up with Jaye and Shane. They sat down at their usual table outside the cafeteria. Then, Jaye broke the exciting news. “I’ve finally gotten everything ready for us to make the jump,” Jaye said. “Come over tonight in your “F you, Earth” shirts. If you actually have one, great.” That night, the three met in Jaye’s backyard. “Everyone ready?” asked Jaye. “Shit’s gonna happen quick.” As he said that, he pulled a flashlight out of his pocket. “What’s that supposed to do?” asked Shane. “It’s the object of power I have. These take on any and every shape possible. They’re common around the Bermuda Triangle, but that’s beside the point. Ready?” “Wait,” said Ron. “I’m having my doubts on doing this.” At that moment, Jaye threw the flashlight to the ground and a bright portal opened. “EVERYONE JUMP NOW!” shouted Jaye. The others followed Jaye quickly. The portal was like a bottomless pit that they were falling through, but it felt as though they were falling every direction except down. Ron was far behind Jaye and Shane. He tried to call to them but they didn’t hear. Then, Ron heard the all too familiar voice of Oblivion. “You have disrupted the Netherscape and opened a portal out. I must thank you and your stupidity.” Then, Ron felt a rush of air pass him quickly. He knew it was Oblivion, and they were all going to Equestria.\ In the Everfree Forest, Zecora was busy making a potion when Rei Sonkei, Colorshy (a grey pegasus with a paint brush wet with red dye for a cutie mark; the equivalent of Shane), and Blue Jay (a blue OP looking pegasus; equivalent of Jaye) fell into the hut behind her. Zecora was at a loss for words as she couldn’t quite comprehend what just happened. Just as she was about to say something, the three rushed out into the forest. “Is everypony ok?” asked Blue Jay. “No,” said Rei. “I’m not ok. When we were in the portal, Oblivion jumped in and followed us here. It’s impossible to tell where he might be, but no doubt he brought his minions, The Campaigner and The Primagen with him.” “Good thing I brought these guns,” said Colorshy pulling out an AK-47 and a sniper rifle. “Thanks,” said Blue Jay, but I’m a mercenary here. I’ll fight with a knife.” “So,” said Rei, “we made it to Equestria, but probably doomed it and the rest of the Multiverse. That means before we can enjoy Equestria, we need to kill Oblivion. Sounds easy enough. Let’s get moving.” Rei picked up the AK-47, Colorshy kept the sniper rifle, and Blue Jay drew a knife. They all holstered their weapons and started walking into the forest. 2: The Longhunter and the Hunted (Quick note: I’m sorry the end of the last episode was crap. I have flawed genetics which cause me to be an “opportunist.” Look it up.) Princess Celestia was sitting in her throne room reading Twilight’s most recent letter. Suddenly, the doors on the far side of the room swung open and a rush of cold air flew in. “What is the meaning of this?” asked Celestia. “Show yourself, intruder!” Just then, The Campaigner, a barbarian-like human with gold armor (Boss image: https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ9KE96UnHPo7SjRva-3t4lbrojPvPa79oOsCy7gUbaunkZuL1A) , and The Primagen (Boss image: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQjcBEA0VC24VPNQSLLYpOtQ-\_j0xzUFrTngLzPjLfIssx6tRteA) , a large, gray alien with four tentacles on his back, one hand and two pincer-like limbs, walked in. “I believe we are the ones you are asking for,” said The Campaigner. “Now you have five seconds to get out of this castle before we destroy you.” “You dare to challenge me?” asked Celestia, enraged. “Who do you think you are?” “We are the minions of Oblivion,” replied The Primagen. “An entity of infinite power who will conquer the Omniverse. And we’re starting with Equestria.” “I will not allow that,” replied Celestia. “I will protect my subjects.” She then charged toward the two, but was suddenly knocked back by an invisible force. “What was that?” asked Celestia, getting back up. “I am Oblivion,” said Oblivion in his dark, raspy voice. “You cannot defeat me. I am eternal. I exist outside the forces of both good and evil. My physical form may be trapped in the Netherscape, still, but my power is able to enter other dimensions like your’s. Now, I will show you a taste of my power.” Suddenly, Celestia was flung out the window by Oblivion and landed right in the middle of the Everfree forest. “That kind of sucks,” said the Campaigner. “I was really hoping to see what kind of power that alicorn had.” “It doesn’t matter,” said the Primagen. “The less opposition we have, the closer we can get to the Well. Now, let’s get looking for the Elements.” Meanwhile, Rei Sonkei, Colorshy, and Blue Jay were trying to make their way through the forest. “For the love of God, Blue,” said Rei, “you need to have some kind of ranged weapon.” “For the last time,” replied Blue Jay, “I am perfectly fine using concealed, extendable hoof blades! NOW STOP PESTERING ME!” After a long silence, Colershy spoke up. “Blue,” he said, “if you just want to stick to a close range weapon, you can still have a shotgun. That’s close range and it has great damage.” “But you can’t fight a Changeling in a high-speed air battle with a heavy shotgun. My decision remains.” The three walked in silence for a long time, then Rei broke the silence. “Quick question, guys, why are we walking? We’re all pegasi.” He then flew up above the trees, not noticing the falling Princess Celestia coming toward him. “I’m just gonna try to find where Ponyville is, then we can work fro- GAHH!” At that moment, Celetia crashed directly into Rei and slammed into the ground before the others. “HOLY CRAP!” shouted Colorshy. “CELESTIA KILLED REI!” “I’m not dead,” said Rei as he crawled out from under Celestia. “Dude,” said Blue Jay, “you have no idea how many neckbeards would rather be in your position, right now.” “Save it, let’s just see if Celestia’s OK. Something powerful had to attack her to throw her this far from Canterlot.” He walked up close to Celestia and tapped her gently. “Princess? Are you alive?” Princess Celestia slowly opened her eyes to find herself staring back at Rei. She jumped back quickly and readied herself for defense. As she did this, Colorshy and Blue Jay readied their weapons. “Woah! Hold your fire, everypony!” shouted Rei waving his hooves in the air. Colorshy and Blue Jay slowly lowered their weapons while Celestia relaxed. “There, see? Panicked fire is never the answer. Now,” Rei turned to Celestia and bowed, indicating for the other two to do the same. “What happened, Princess?” “I was attacked by these two creatures who called themselves The Campaigner and The Primagen,” she replied. “Then I was thrown out of my throne room by an unseen force that called itself ‘Oblivion.’” “Hmm...” Rei stood there thinking for a moment. “Oblivion must be what we ended up releasing, but I never knew The Campaigner and The Primagen were working with him. There’s some real shit going down, this time around. Princess, we will battle Oblivion to stop whatever he has planned and retake Canterlot for you.” “Hey,” said Blue Jay, “has anypony else noticed that this story is jumping through its plot, quickly?” “Blue,” said Rei through gritted teeth, “I told you we weren’t going to break the 4th wall anymore. But you do have a point, we are going to fight this chapter’s boss in about a minute.” Just then, the four heard what sounded like motors headed their way. As they turned, they saw the two grey battle Hummers crash through the trees behind them. “EVERYPONY, DIVE!” shouted Rei, grabbing Celestia and diving to the left while the others dived to the right. Rei quickly got up and started shooting at the Hummers with his AK-47, which actually proved effective as several bullets hit the tires of one Hummer while more bullets blasted through the windshield of the other. Both Hummers crashed into each other and exploded. They then turned into clouds of dark smoke and retreated into the trees. “Is everypony ok?” asked Colorshy. “I’m fine,” replied Celestia. “Would somepony mind telling me what’s going on here?” “Oblivion is sending one of his minions to make sure you are dead,” replied Rei. “and from the looks of it, he knows we’re here, as well. We need to get to Canterlot and stop him, fast.” “Hey!” shouted a voice from behind where the Hummers vanished. Then, a human carrying an energy rifle walked out. “Oh sweet lord, I know who you are,” shouted Rei. “I am the Longhunter (Boss image: http://i2.ytimg.com/vi/u2JI9ulq6DE/2.jpg) (blame the “Let’s Play” makers for the crappy screenshot) . I was sent by The Campaigner to stop you ponies from reaching Canterlot, where he plans to find the Elements of Harmony to open a Dimensional Rift, allowing his master, Oblivion, to enter your plane of existence.” “So that’s why Oblivion wants Canterlot. So he can start in the most harmonious dimension in the Omniverse, causing the Omniversal balance to shift dramatically, making his rise back to power easier... well played.” “Silence, small winged horse. Prepare to die!” “Watch out everypony, this is no ordinary human. Avoid his energy boomerangs and keep your distance if you can. Whatever you do, just keep shooting. Attack!” The four then flew into different directions, all with their weapons drawn (except Celestia, who had enough weirdness for one day and hid behind a tree). The Longhunter tried to focus his fire on Celestia, but he kept getting bombarded by bullets from Rei and Colorshy. He was taking several hits, but he had some kind of magic shield that kept him from dying quickly. After quickly realizing that he can’t attack Celestia, he turned his attention to the other three and fired at them with his pulse rifle, which had a rate of fire similar to Rei’s AK-47 but with orbs of powerful plasma energy. As powerful as his weapon was, it’s rate of fire and accuracy were no match for a trio of pegasi who kept zipping by, giving blow after blow to him. Then, he decided to change tactics and fire his homing plasma boomerangs. Two of his boomerangs hit Rei and Colorshy, knocking downing them, quickly, but Blue Jay avoided the three boomerangs headed his way and charged The Longhunter. The Longhunter had almost no time to react before he was knocked to the ground by Blue Jay’s hoof blades. He was on the ground, stunned, and could only watch as Blue Jay stood over him and prepared to give the final blow, which was a quick slash to The Longhunter’s neck. In an instant, the battle was over and The Longhunter was dead. Blue Jay walked over to the other two. “Are you guys all right?” he asked. “We’re fine,” replied Colorshy. “I guess your hoof blades are pretty effective. I bet The Longhunter wasn’t expecting a melee attack.” “Yeah,” added Rei. “I guess a melee weapon can be better than bullets in some situations.” “Heh,” laughed Blue Jay as he extended his hoof to help the others up. “Maybe next time you’ll have a little more faith in me.” “Whatever,” replied Rei taking Blue Jay’s hoof. “Hey, where’s Celestia?” “I am here,” said Celestia, coming out of the bush she jumped into. “Thank you, all three of you, for defending me and defeating that evil human.” “Oh please, that was just a simple nuisance-” started Rei. “I’ll tell you what,” interrupted Celestia, “how about you three take back Canterlot for me. I’ll grant you each a wish within my power if you do.” “That sound good to me,” said Colorshy. “It would be ok if there was no reward, but odds are good that we’d need all the help we could get against Oblivion,” said Rei. “I guess we’d better get going.” The four then made their way towards Canterlot, but not without being seen by The Campaigner. “Dammit!” he shouted, “I never should have trusted The Longhunter to handle those four.” “Is there a problem?” asked The Primagen, walking up behind The Campaigner. “No, I have my cyborgs flooding the streets and the only entrance to this city demolished.” “What about that cave with all the rare crystals in it?” “That one’s taken care of...” 3: Infiltration After a couple hours of walking towards Canterlot, Rei Sonkei, Colorshy, Blue Jay, and Princess Celestia had finally reached the base of the mountain upon which Canterlot lay. “Okay,” said Colorshy, “why are we here at the waterfall?” “There is a secret and secure entrance to Canterlot that only I know how to use,” replied Celestia. “Very few ponies even know of the existence of these caves, anyway. I highly doubt Oblivion has blocked off this entrance.” She then cast a spell that opened a hole in the waterfall. “Hurry up and go through,” she shouted. The others quickly followed her orders and ran into the cave. She then ran in herself and closed the waterfall behind her. “Yes,” said The Campaigner watching the ponies from a computer screen. “Trot right on into my trap, my little ponies. One way or another, you shall never see the light of day, ever again.” “Campaigner,” called The Primagen, “your plan better be working. Even my power is taking a long time to open the safe where the Elements are located.” “At least you found it, be grateful for that. Now, how is the invasion coming along?” “Your cyborgs are very effective. We have pushed most of the civilian ponies into the corners of the city, but the guard ponies are giving us a fairly hard time. They are being led by another alicorn, though this one doesn’t seem as strong as the first one.” The Campaigner sighed before he responded. “Very well, I shall mobilize Thunder to assist the cyborgs. You keep trying to get the Elements. Oblivion won’t like waiting.” “Very well, but don’t you think Thunder is a little extreme?” “He’s been cooped up in his cage for who-knows how long. A cyborg tyrannosaur should never have to wait that long before any real combat. Now get moving!” “Fine,” said The Primagen as he left. The Campaigner then returned to his screen and pressed two buttons. One releasing Thunder onto the streets of Canterlot, the other mobilizing his trap for the four ponies. Meanwhile, the ponies were having a hard time navigating the labyrinth cave, even with Celestia leading the others. “Um... princess,” asked Rei, “are you sure you know where you’re going?” “This is a very large and complex cave system,” she replied. “It takes time to navigate.” “So in other words, you’re lost, correct?” “No,” she replied quickly. “I am simply unable to gather all of my bearings.” “She’s lost,” Colorshy whispered to Blue Jay. Suddenly, the four heard a noise down the cave in front of them. “What was that?” asked Rei. “It sounded... mechanical, like a robot,” commented Blue Jay. “I think something’s heading our way.” “Get ready, everypony,” said Colorshy, pulling out his rifle. “We have no idea what’s coming. That being said, you may want to step back, Princess.” “With what’s happened in the past day, I’ll take your advice.” She then stepped back as the other three hovered there with their weapons drawn. For a while, there was nothing but silence, but it was quickly broken by the sound of quickly fluttering wings, like an insect. The ponies looked around for the source of the noise, but they couldn’t find it, and all of their wings were moving at a normal speed. “Blue Jay,” asked Colorshy quietly. “What is that noise?” “I don’t know,” he replied. “I want to say it’s a mantis, but it doesn’t sound like any mantis I’ve heard of.” As the two were talking, Rei turned around and a look of horror came upon his face. “Blue Jay,” he said panickedly, “have you ever heard of a mantis that’s about 30 feet tall?” “No,” he replied. “Not 30 feet.” “Then you may want to turn around and take some notes.” The others turned around slowly as Rei backed up. Soon, they were face to face with a giant cyborg mantis. (Boss image: http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&safe=active&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=587&tbm=isch&tbnid=MF-rLMhtGlBITM:&imgrefurl=http://www.overclock.net/t/1187332/whats-your-most-frustrating-video-game-moment-ever/120&docid=3pKLCjqXYz4NMM&imgurl=http://cdn.overclock.net/6/60/60d96ef9\_turok-dinosaur-hunter\_70082.jpeg&w=540&h=405&ei=HWMSUaSUKIiC2gXCk4DgAg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=382&vpy=197&dur=1469&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=142&ty=74&sig=116582513766076600224&page=3&tbnh=143&tbnw=192&start=34&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:43,s:0,i:233) “What is that?” shouted Celestia. “That looks like The Campaigner’s mantis minion!” shouted Rei. “Everypony run!” The four ran/flew quickly away from the mantis, which was attempting to fire globs of acid towards the four, but continuously missing. Eventually, the mantis began chasing the ponies. “Rei!” shouted Colorshy. “Try laying down some suppressing fire!” “Okay!” shouted Rei, who began flying backwards and opened fire at the mantis. “I don’t think this is working! Can I get some help?” “I’ll see what I can do,” replied Colorshy, who also turned around and fired his rifle as fast as he could. The two continued to fire, but the mantis showed no signs of weakening. “Wall!” shouted Blue Jay. He and Celestia turned in different directions, but Rei and Colorshy didn’t have time to react before they crashed into the crystal wall, opening another small cave. “Thanks for the early warning, Blue Jay,” said Colorshy, getting up and dusting himself off. “Sorry, it’s getting pretty dark in here.” “Yeah, yeah,” said Rei. “Cut the chit-chat and HELP US KILL THIS GIANT MANTIS!” The mantis was closing in on Rei and Colorshy, who were backed into a corner but shooting (or at least trying to shoot) the crap out of the mantis. The mantis was about to strike the two when Blue Jay flew up behind the mantis and gave it a slash on the back of its head, which did nothing but get its attention. “Damn,” he commented under his breath, “this guy is tough. I’m gonna have to change tactics.” “DUCK!” Rei shouted to Blue Jay as the mantis was bringing down its scythe on him. Blue Jay ducked just fast enough to avoid a fatal blow, but he was still downed. “Blue Jay!” shouted Rei as he flew up to the manits’s head. He then smacked the mantis in the head with the butt of his gun and started shooting at it. This did end up stunning the mantis just long enough for Colorshy to rush to Blue Jay’s side. “Are you okay?” asked Colorshy. “Yeah,” he replied getting up and brushing himself off. “Just a little shaken up. This mantis has some pretty powerful armor. How’s Rei doing?” The two look up to see Rei still shooting the crap out of the mantis’s eye, and the mantis was showing signs of weakening. “Yeah,” commented Colorshy, “I think Rei has things covered from here. We should go check on Celestia.” The two then walked off casually, leaving Rei to continue firing, even though blood from the mantis was starting to splatter on his face. “Dammit!” shouted The Campaigner as he saw that the mantis had died on his screen. He pounded his fist on a nearby table, which quickly broke in half. “I knew those ponies would cause a few problems, but this is unacceptable!” “Campaigner!” called The Primagen running in excitedly. “This better be good,” replied The Campaigner. “I’m having a fit of rage here.” “It is good. I have obtained the Elements.” 4: Storm the City After what felt like a full day, the four ponies were near the exit to the crystal caves. “Finally!” shouted Colorshy. “I thought we’d never get out of those caves.” “Yeah,” replied Rei. “Though those caves were... eventful.” “Ah, don’t sweat it, kid,” said Blue Jay, smacking Rei on the back of his head. “If it wasn’t for you, we would have been mantis chow.” The four walked in silence, remembering Rei’s little outburst of bullets that saved them all from the mantis. Finally, Celestia broke the silence. “We’re almost out, but it seems to be night already. Maybe we can- OH SWEET FAUST!” The four stood at the mouth of the cave in shock and horror as hundreds if not thousands of The Campaigner’s cyborgs (Enemy image: http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&safe=active&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=536&tbm=isch&tbnid=ft-GCNWaGWU1KM:&imgrefurl=http://www.gameview.com.br/Video/Turok--Dinosaur-Hunter-26---Cybernetic-Corridor-Crawling.aspx%3Fv%3Dvma4&docid=tXscyrUIhRWYrM&itg=1&imgurl=http://i.ytimg.com/vi/YOeufthdxGo/hqdefault.jpg&w=480&h=360&ei=QrYSUZHUDKTy2gWtsIHwDA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=2&vpy=207&dur=1031&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=113&ty=75&sig=102529709541509938624&page=2&tbnh=138&tbnw=187&start=16&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:32,s:0,i:183) (The yellow thing on the right, they come in red too, and I spent hours trying to find a better image.) flood the streets of Canterlot, slaughtering any pony who can’t run away fast enough. They are being fought by the Canterlot Royal guard, but the guards keep getting slaughtered by the dozen. “Oh no!” shouted Rei. “This is the work of The Campaigner! But how... how...” Rei trailed off. “I have to go help protect my subjects,” said Celestia about to fly off. “No,” called Blue Jay. “You won’t survive a minute on your own. Let us help.” “I’m sorry, but you have done enough to help.” She then flew off into the battle. “Well? Are we just going to stand here and let her get killed?” Blue Jay then rushed down towards the city, trying to catch up to Celestia. “Hey, Colorshy,” said Rei, “shouldn’t we go help them?” “Yeah,” Colorshy replied. “Just give me a minute.” He was setting up a tripod and using it to steady the aim of his rifle. He then tried picking off several cyborgs that were coming up behind Celestia and Blue Jay, and he actually made a few kills. “I’m just gonna go on down. You can stay here and snipe as many cyborgs as you can.” Rei then flew down into the storm of bullets, rockets, and beams of magic. He began firing his AK-47 at as many cyborgs as he could find. He dealt enough damage to at least power many of them down, but there was just too many and his bullets weren’t doing enough damage. Soon, there were at least a dozen cyborgs upon him and it was impossible to fend them all off. Rei was sure it was the end of him when several of the cyborgs were blasted by a dark greyish energy blast. Before he had time to realize who had just saved him, Rei was levitated off the ground and pulled towards his savior. He tried to struggle out of the hold when he suddenly found himself muzzle to muzzle with Princess Luna, who had saved his life many years before. He was then quickly pushed away. “What are you doing here, Rei Sonkei?” she asked, blushing a little, even though it wasn’t too visible. “I might ask you the same thing, Princess,” replied Rei getting up. “Why are you here in the middle of this battle?” “My sister was nowhere to be found and these horrible machines began attacking the city. So I decided to lead the Royal Guard into battle, myself.” Just then, several Guards were sent flying nearby. “I think the battle is going well,” added Luna, pretending not to see what had just happened. “Yeah...” said Rei, obviously not believing Luna. “But don’t worry, Princess. We saved your sister and she and my friends are going to help in this battle. Don’t you worry.” He was about to fly off when he remembered to add, “A little more help here and there wouldn’t be the worst thing, though.” “Okay,” replied Luna, flying in another direction to fight more cyborgs. With that, Rei flew off himself, raining fire down upon as many cyborgs as he could see. He managed to power down and even destroy some of them, but he knew he couldn’t fight them all on his own. Suddenly, he noticed a blue streak weaving through the groups of cyborgs. Each cyborg the streak hit was instantly destroyed. Rei knew in an instant that it was Blue Jay, who was making short work of every cyborg he came across. Rei then flew down to join Blue Jay in the battle. “Hey, what are you doing down here?” asked Blue Jay. “I was afraid I’d hit you from the air,” replied Rei. “You don’t mind if I join you down here, do you?” “Actually, I do. But I do need somepony to cover my back, anyway.” The two then stood back to back as the cyborgs surrounded them. “Ready?” asked Blue Jay. “Ready,” replied Rei. “Banzai!” The two then dashed off in different directions into the crowd of cyborgs around them. Rei was shooting in several different directions, dodging bullets and rockets (most of which hit other cyborgs) and even getting up close and personal by bucking a few cyborg heads off. Blue Jay, on the other hoof, simply flew through seeming to slash every cyborg he flew by. He then exited the crowd and took a triumphant stance as the cyborgs he passed split in half and fell to the ground. Colorshy was getting bored simply sniping, so he flew down to join the others in the battle. He flew through a group of cyborgs, meleeing and and shooting the heads off of several cyborgs. However, he quickly found himself at a disadvantage as most of them had gatling guns, so he tried to get an altitude advantage. He managed to down a few cyborgs from the air, but he was still unable to make a dent in their numbers, alone. Meanwhile, Celestia and Luna were back to back trying to fend off cyborgs. They were firing blast after blast at the cyborgs until they could barely stand, but they knew they had to keep fighting if they wanted to protect their kingdom and their world. “No!” shouted The Campaigner as he saw his cyborgs drop one by one before the five ponies. “This is impossible! My army is unbeatable! UNBEATABLE!” “Campaigner,” called The Primagen. “The Dimensional Rift is ready. We must hurry if we are to get out of here with the Elements in time.” “No. I want to watch those ponies die slow and painful deaths, even if I have to do it myself. Get the Elements to Oblivion and I’ll make sure those ponies don’t cause any more problems.” “Very well. I can see your mind is made up.” The Primagen then walked out of the room. “Now, my little ponies,” said The Campaigner, returning to his screen, “get ready to feel the Thunder.” 5: End of the Campaign After what felt like hours, all of The Campaigner’s cyborgs had been turned to scrap metal thanks to Rei Sonkei, Blue Jay, Colorshy, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna. Finally, realizing they were successful, they collapsed all at once and sighed in relief. “Finally,” said Rei, breathing heavily, “I thought we’d never finish that battle.” “Yeah,” added Colorshy. “There must have been almost a million of those robots.” Suddenly, the five heard a loud, thundering stomp headed in their direction. The five looked up to find a 20-foot tall cyborg tyrannosaur (Boss image: http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&safe=active&tbo=d&biw=1024&bih=600&tbm=isch&tbnid=J6kofcahpVxtKM:&imgrefurl=http://www.comics101.com/guestlecturer//%3Fmode%3Dproject%26action%3Dview%26project%3DGuest%2520Lecturer%26chapter%3D79&docid=EQfb6gzCxTgCFM&imgurl=http://www.comics101.com/guestlecturer//images/view.php%253Fsrc%253D../news/Guest%252520Lecturer/79/2videogame.jpg%2526w%253D&w=432&h=325&ei=sEwdUefyC8bf2QXTlYHAAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=718&vpy=126&dur=2562&hovh=195&hovw=259&tx=159&ty=106&sig=107419679053769126558&page=1&tbnh=143&tbnw=199&start=0&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:0,i:93) The five quickly got up and flew in several different directions to avoid Thunder's charge. He just missed all five of them, but recovered from his momentum quickly. He let out a loud roar as the five ponies flew above him. “What the hell is that?” shouted Colorshy. “That must be Thunder, The Campaigner’s pet T-rex,” replied Rei. Before he could continue, Thunder let out another loud roar and fired several rockets in the direction of the ponies. The ponies evaded the rockets, but they knew that wasn’t all Thunder had. “As I was saying,” continued Rei, “avoid his laser sight and stay above him, if at all possible. And for the love of God, don’t get near his mouth. People have tried that tactic and it quickly backfires every time. That means you, ‘Mr. Hoof-blades,’” he added, indicating Blue Jay. “Hey,” said Blue Jay casually, holding his hooves in the air, “you’ll get no argument from me, there.” “Can we stop talking and fight the CYBORG T-REX THAT IS CHARGING STRAIGHT TOWARDS US?” shouted Luna as Thunder went in for another charge. “Okay, everypony,” said Rei. “On my mark, fly off and hit him with everything you’ve got all at once.” “Or, we could do so right now and not get eaten alive!” shouted Colorshy as Thunder came within 20 feet of the ponies and advancing fast. “Good idea. FLY!” The ponies then flew off just before Thunder had time to fire his flamethrower. “This guy has a flamethrower?” shouted Colorshy. “Um... maybe I could have told you that...” replied Rei. “But that doesn’t matter. FIRE EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!” The ponies then fired their weapons at Thunder. Rei his AK-47, Colorshy his rifle, and Celestia and Luna energy beams. Blue Jay simply charged straight at Thunder, blades first. The five-pronged attack seemed to catch Thunder off guard for a moment, but it was ultimately doing very little to damage him. He simply shook off all of the attacks and let out another roar (no, he doesn’t have that much more to contribute to the dialogue) that sent the ponies flying back, though they quickly recovered. “This guy’s invincible!” shouted Blue Jay. “How the hell are we supposed to kill him?” Everypony was silent for a moment, then Colorshy quickly broke the silence. “I think I know how to destroy him!” He then flew quickly straight towards Thunder with Rei shouting something after him. Thunder let out a loud roar at Colorshy, but this gave Colorshy the opening he needed and he flew straight down Thunder’s throat. The four other ponies just watched in speechless, open-mouthed horror as Thunder swallowed Colorshy and burped up his brown feathers. (I know I said in the first chapter that Colorshy was grey, but that, apparently was false information. He’s all brown.) “Can anypony tell me what the hell just happened?” Rei asked, finally. This was met with silent shakes of the head, nopony breaking their view of Thunder. After a while, Rei realized that Thunder wasn’t really doing anything to try and attack them. He looked a little closer to find that Thunder was actually choking. “Everypony! Thunder’s choking! Now’s our chance to attack him!” The others quickly fell out of their collective daze and followed Rei’s instructions. However, before they could get close enough to attack, Thunder fell to the ground and exploded in a flurry of metal and blood. When the group looked again, Colorshy was standing in the middle of the mess that was once the deadly T-rex, Thunder, covered in yellow-ish blood. “Huh,” Colorshy said, finally. “I was almost sure that wouldn’t work.” “Are you insane, Colorshy?” shouted Rei. “You realize you were beyond lucky to avoid his teeth, right?” “Yeah, but I knew there was no way he could be destroyed from the outside. So I used a trick I learned watching the episode ‘Spike at Your Service’” and hoped for the best.” “If we’re done breaking the 4th wall as well as the timeline of this story,” interrupted Blue Jay, “we still have to kill The Campaigner and save Equestria.” “You’re right,” replied Rei. “Celestia, Luna, you two may want to sit this battle out. If he wants to destroy Equestria, he’ll want to start by making sure you two are dead.” “Very well,” replied Luna. “Just make sure you three don’t die, yourselves.” Rei and Blue Jay replied with a nod and were about to fly off when they heard Colorshy shout “Wait!” “You know we’re on a pretty strict schedule, right Colorshy?” asked Rei impatiently. “I know,” Colorshy replied. “But I want to get a few paint buckets full of this guy’s blood.” Rei and Blue Jay just looked on in a mix of disbelief and disgust. “What is wrong with you?” asked Blue Jay. “Hey. My kill. My tyrannosaur blood.” Colorshy then turned to show his cutie mark, which was a paintbrush with red paint on it. “My cutie mark.” “Huh,” said Rei. “I never knew you were a necro-painter.” “Yeah, there’s a lot about me you don’t know. Now let’s get moving.” The three pegasi then flew off, leaving Celestia and Luna standing in the rubble. “I’ll go get the broom,” said Luna, walking off. As this was happening, The Campaigner could only look on as the ponies fought their way through the castle towards the throne room, smashing every cyborg in their way to bits. “How is this possible?” he asked himself. ”My army... Thunder... all destroyed by... by PONIES! This has gone on long enough! I will grind your bones to dust with my bare hands!” At that moment, Rei, Colorshy, and Blue Jay bursted through the doors. “You called?” commented Rei sarcastically. “Why, yes I did,” replied The Campaigner. “Surely you are ready to die, then?” “Hardly,” replied Colorshy, “We’re here to stop you and save Equestria.” “Oh you poor deluded fools. Equestria is as good as gone, by now. Although, if you were to defeat The Primagen before he delivers the Elements of Harmony to Oblivion in the Lost Land, you may stand a chance.” “The Elements of Harmony?” asked Rei. “Is that why you took Canterlot?” “The power contained within the Elements is the very reason Oblivion wanted to deal with this pathetic dimension in the first place. But that’s enough talk.” The Campaigner then began to advance, raising his weapon. “It’s time for you ponies to DIE!” The Campaigner tried to strike the ponies, but the three flew off in different directions to avoid him. He then quickly turned around and tried firing his energy barrage attack at the pegasi. The three tried to dodge the countless attacks, but several blasts made contact, anyway. The pegasi fell to the ground as The Campaigner began to rush them. However, Blue Jay got up quickly and blocked his attack. The two were engaged in hand-to-hoof combat until Colorshy got up and put a single bullet right between The Campaigner’s eyes. This knocked him to the ground, but it didn’t kill him right away. Rather, he got back up quickly, only to get charged by Rei, who was firing right at him. Rei was right in front of The Campaigner when he quickly turned to the right, avoiding The Campaigner’s counter-attack. The Campaigner was about to turn around when he saw Colorshy advancing towards him in the same way that Rei came. Flying as fast as he could towards him, firing his weapon as many times as he could. The Campaigner was preparing a counter-attack when Colorshy swerved to the left. Before The Campaigner could react that time, Blue Jay started charging right at The Campaigner, blades extended. The Campaigner tried to react, but Blue Jay flew faster than either of the other ponies and was already weakened by their bullets. He did his best to defend, but in an instant, Blue Jay’s blades had made contact and sent The Campaigner flying backwards about 50 feet. Blue Jay then landed, retracted his hoof blades, raised his hoof in triumph, and said “Yippie kai yae, motherbucker.” While Blue Jay was busy celebrating, The Campaigner was slowly getting back up, though horribly damaged. He managed to fire one of his fireballs at Blue Jay without him noticing. Blue Jay tried to react, but it was too late and the fireball had made a direct hit. Blue Jay was on the ground, stunned when he found The Campaigner standing over him. “You ponies have caused me enough trouble,” he said, pointing his weapon at Blue Jay’s face. “but you won’t stop my master’s ultimate plan.” Just then, he was shot in the head by Colorshy. “No, I think we will stop him,” he said lowering his gun after a successful shot. The Campaigner began to stumble around and explode on several areas of his body. Blue Jay saw his opportunity and got away before The Campaigner completely exploded, leaving a crater where he once existed. “Holy crap!” shouted Rei, walking in from seemingly nowhere. “We just destroyed The Campaigner!” “Yeah, but didn’t you hear him?” asked Blue Jay. “What is his master’s “ultimate plan?” “I may be able to explain that,” said Celestia, flying in with Luna at her side. “Princess Celestia,” said Rei, “what do you mean?” “First off, I went to Canterlot Tower to retrieve the Elements of Harmony so I could place them in safer hooves. But when I opened the door, the Elements were gone. I think that other creature took them.” “The Primagen!” shouted Rei. “I should have known he was involved in all this. Princess, can you open a dimensional rift so we can get to The Primagen’s home dimension?” Celestia and Luna looked at each other for a moment and then looked back at Rei, looking confused. “Can you explain what you are talking about, perhaps?” asked Luna. Rei sighed and then turned to Blue Jay. “You wouldn’t happen to have another ‘object of power’ on you, would you?” “I might,” replied Blue Jay. “Let me see... ah! I think I can use this flash grenade.” Blue Jay then threw the flash grenade in the air and a large black hole appeared. “You two better leave this in our hooves from here,” Rei said to Celestia and Luna. “It’s much too dangerous in the Lost Land.” “Very well,” replied Celestia. “Good luck, ponies. The fate of existence is in your hooves.” Rei did a nod towards the two and then followed the others into the rift where they disappeared from view. As the rift closed, Celestia and Luna looked around at the ruined throne room. “I’ll go get a broom... again,” said Luna walking off.
Begining of the End Rei Sonkei is seen sneaking through an air vent carrying an AK-47.
The Longhunter and the Hunted (Quick note: I’m sorry the end of the last episode was crap. “No, I have my cyborgs flooding the streets and the only entrance to this city demolished.” “What about that cave with all the rare crystals in it?” “That one’s taken care of...”
Infiltration After a couple hours of walking towards Canterlot, Rei Sonkei, Colorshy, Blue Jay, and Princess Celestia had finally reached the base of the mountain upon which Canterlot lay. I have obtained the Elements.”
Storm the City After what felt like a full day, the four ponies were near the exit to the crystal caves. “Now, my little ponies,” said The Campaigner, returning to his screen, “get ready to feel the Thunder.”
End of the Campaign After what felt like hours, all of The Campaigner’s cyborgs had been turned to scrap metal thanks to Rei Sonkei, Blue Jay, Colorshy, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna.
