Seven years ago, the Phyric Amalgam swarmed across Equestria, claiming the whole planet as an outpost of its multiverse-spanning empire. Now, the Amalgam rules over ponykind with legions of battlemechs and Converted pony soldiers. Silver has lost everything to the Amalgam, and has managed to become one of the few ponies who have wronged the Amalgam and survived. He soon finds himself indebted to the Elementals, a mismatched collective of ponies with one single, impossible goal: the liberation of Equestria from the Amalgam. Silver ends up as one of the Elemental's soldiers, serving the Elemental's leader herself, the near-omnipotent Twilight Sparkle. But the Amalgam are stretched thin, fighting another impossible war, and a revolution from within Equestria might just be enough to push them over the edge…
