Cancelled

There Sombra lay, curled up in bedsheets in his house, or should I say, his parents house. At this moment in time, he was only 11, still going to school. His mane was scrappy, like Rainbow Dash when she was a filly, well, maybe not that scrappy, a bit more tider, like Rainbow Dash's present mane, somewhere in-between. He had amber eyes and his cutie mark was a black star, a resemblance of whenever he did a spell, it became something horrid. Unlike most crystal ponies, his coat or mane did not shine, rumours said that he came from a different family.

His mother came into the room, she was blue with a white mane (which was similar to Fluttershy's) and green eyes, they shined. She rubbed her hoof against Sombra's blankets, Sombra groaned like any child would on a school day.
"There there," she said. "I'm sure school will be better this time."
Sombra popped his head out of the blankets and turned to his mother.
"But It never is!" Sombra cried out.
Sombra started to cry and hid his face in his hooves. his mother, Crystalline, wrapped her hooves around Sombra and hugged him with Sombra now crying in her chest.
"Everything will be alright this time." Crystalline comforted.
Sombra turned his head up to his mother and replied, "You always say that!"
He dug his head back into her chest.

After a few silent minutes of hugging, Sombra and his beautiful mother walked downstairs to the dining room. Sombra's father, Fire Stone, a stallion with a yellow coat, a fire red mane (which looked like fire) and orange eyes was reading The Dreamy Times. He turned his head other to Crystalline and Sombra, on the table there was 3 breakfast bowls of cereal, Fire Stones's was finished, Crystalline's was almost finished and Sombra's wasn't even touched, the cereal was soaked and soggy. Sombra ate some and left the rest, he was too disgusted by the sogginess. Fire Stone gave Sombra a menacing glare, Sombra knew the Fire Stone hated him, he didn't say it out loud by Sombra knew by all the things he did to him. Sombra avoided his father at all costs.

As soon as Sombra got ready for school, his mother gave him a kiss and sent him off to school.
"Have a nice day, dear." She said when Sombra left.
As soon as Sombra turned round to the left from the house, he slowed down his running to a walk. He stopped, he overheard Crystalline and Fire Stone arguing. he wasn't really sure what they were talking about until he heard Fire Stone say his name, from this point, he knew that that they were arguing about him. He tried to take his mind off it and continued walking. Tears were bubbling up, but he washed them away by brushing his hoof against his eyes.
What's happening? Sombra thought, Everypony hates me, probably my mother is going to hate me.
As Sombra walked, thinking about this would make him weaken, but he promised himself that he would stay strong. It's hard to stay strong when there's weight forcing you down, that's when you have to try and stay strong.
The whole time walking there, Sombra staggered.

There the school lay, ponies, which were the same age as Sombra, were playing happily with each other.Sombra gave out a weak smile, he felt delighted to hear the laughter of ponies. He spotted a few ponies playing tag, Sombra trotted over in a good mood.
"Hey, can I play?" Sombra asked.
The giggling came to a stop.
One of the male ponies pointed at him and looked at the others, "Hey guys! Lil' Somby wants to play with us!"
The other ponies laughed, but they weren't laughing with him, the were laughing at him. The pony who made the others laugh at him pushed him over and punched him in the face. He then walked away and the other ponies following him leaving Sombra to sob on the grass. He then got up, but only to see his crush dazzling just a metre away. Sombra sighed and blushed as he gazed upon the mare of his dreams. He has never been able to gather up the courage to talk to here so he usually would just stare at her for the whole of break. Sombra's crush was Princess Sapphire, she had a light pink coat she had green hair like Rainbow Dash's which was quite short. Her wings were glimmer wings, her horn stood proud and tall. her cutiemark was a pink flower with a heart, symbolising her passion for spreading love. Her parents died and she and her uncle look after the kingdom together.

The bell rang, "break's over, my little ponies!" Miss Sparrow cooed.
All the ponies got into a line behind Miss Sparrow, she opened the door and led her students in. As soon as they entered the classroom, the ponies went to their desk, Sombra's desk was at the front of the classroom, Sombra thought he was at the front of the class so the teacher could keep an eye on him, it was obvious.
"Attention!" Miss Sparrow shouted, "Today class, we will be learned transformation."
Sombra gritted his teeth, he forgot to study and transformation spells were the last spells he wanted to do. Miss Sparrow handed out frogs to each student. Miss Sparrow walked back to her desk and sat down. She then shuffled a few pieces of paper.
"You objective is to turn your frog into a mouse." Miss Sparrow explained, "To do this spell, you must think about the animal you are transforming and then think about the animal you want to turn it into."
Everypony looked at their frogs. Sombra thought about the frog, then thought about a mouse, the only thing that happened was that a single spark came out of his horn. The spell didn't work. He then repeated it, but only this time it was more intense. A purple lightning bolt came out of his horn and shot it at the frog. Then, something very grim happened. The spell Sombra performed was to intense, the frog exploded and it's insides splattered on the walls. The whole class let out sounds of disgust and then muttered things about Sombra. Sombra himself bit his lower lip while looking at the blood-covered walls, the consequences he thought of were not going to be good. Miss Sparrow scowled at him.
"Mister Sombra, come over here!" Miss Sparrow yelled.
Without saying anything, Sombra got out of his chair and trotted with his head down to Miss Sparrow's desk. When he got to her desk, he turned his head up.
"Yes miss?" He stuttered.
Miss Sparrow used her magic to tug on his ear, "How DARE you cause such tyranny in my class!" She shouted in his ear, "You should be expelled right now! You are a stupid little colt and no pony will EVER love you! Your disgusting presence makes me want to puke, young man! If I EVER catch you doing something like this again, shall expel you!"
Miss Sparrow slapped him hard with her hoof, and to think this was the beginning.

This was an average day for Sombra, he had been tormented all his life, even before he was born. At the end of the day, Sombra walked home beaten up, bleeding, staggering, you name it. He walked through the door with out talking and up to his bedroom to sob in his pillow. Why? In the name of Celestia, why does everypony hate him?
