Chapters Just a diamond in the dark
Thus my dream of my farther chasing me through the lush green fields of Arcadia took and slightly odd turn when he threw a wet napkin at my face and shouted
"Wake up you waste of fur!" at me considering my farther was the most loving Stallion in all of Arcadia, a guard stood at my cell gates with a rather uncomforting sneer on his face but quickly broke the silence by bellowing at the top of his voice
"THE PRINCESS WILL BE JUDGING YOU IN A FEW MINUTES!" with a quick shaking of all the bricks and plaster in the wall from sound vibration. Walking down the hallways of the castle dungeon was not the most spirit raising sight for somepony who is clearly guilty for bringing war to a lovely green country and it's also not very good to know they send the loudest bloody guard in the business to wake you because trust me they don't deploy that guy lightly seeing as how it takes forever to shut his damn gob. As the bright lights of the courtroom filled my eyes and the sounds of screaming and hate in my ears I was instantly reminded of my home land or for better words how I was kicked out of my homeland. I could feel a great and pure presence as the Princess closed in on the threshold of the doorway, but that only made me feel more sick in guilt,
*SMACK SMACK SMACK!* "ORDER IN THE ROYAL COURT" shouted Celestia in the "Royal Canterlot Voice" which made all the crowd cower in silence, nopony had ever seen Celestia so mad or use the Royal Canterlot Voice.
"Dark Aurora! You have been charged with the crimes of bringing Shadows to our country of Equestria! How do you judge?" shouted the Princess with a expression that blatantly says "I'm really pissed off", I couldn't say anything, my body was frozen in terror but I let out a whimper as I had finally built up all my courage and I knew I will speak the words that will truly seal my fate, those words are..."I'm boned". All the ponies had just face hoofed as the Princess decreed that I be banned from Equestria in hope the Shadows will follow.
It was a true walk of shame through all of Canterlot, silence filled the streets as I trotted in dishonor down the streets, peering into the green lands of Equestria for the last time I saw Ponyville half destroyed with explosions going off left and right, the guard who had just led me to the Pegusis drawn carriage asked me if I had anything to say before I left, I threw my head upwards with the look of pride and preached to the crowd
"I will return" and stepped down and with nothing else to say we departed to Arcadia.As the pounding heat of the Arcadian deserts pelted my coat I knew that I was near what I used to call home but that was a very long time ago, a time when I was renowned as the greatest inventor in all of the land but either way I was dirt to that country now. My choices of places to go were the lush green fields of Arcadia...Or the Screaming Sands...Well I couldn't go back into the gates of Arcadia so the Screaming Sands it is! What the heck could go wrong? Well, by night there are creatures dragged straight from Hell up to the surface world by witches in the sandy mountains oh and it's also the time when Shadows can creep out from the caves and not be burned to the soul by the sun.
After starting my journey to a new home seeing as how I've just been taken to the other side of the damn planet to bait my worst nightmare away from the only country that has good ponies in it...for the most part, I could feel my head getting soaked with sweat with every rock I needed to climb over feeling like a frying pan that's been on the stove from hell for 16 years but nothing too new or interesting because for the longest time I have not felt any kind of happiness for years but that wouldn't stop me, I could see something creeping in over the horizon
"It's an Equestrian military base...Damn" I whispered to myself as I could see that was the only salvation for miles, I had suspected I'd walked at least 13 miles by this point but no matter, I could see the base growing over the hills and I felt the sweat rushing down my neck as I sprinted towards it and before I knew it, my mouth was full of sand, I'd instantly passed out mid sprint, So much for bloody salvation then eh? Well it wasn't over yet, after about 6 hours I could see a green pony closing in on me talking to another pony wearing cameo, I couldn't make out what they were saying because everything sounded blurry to me and with no other option I past out.
My only assumption of what happened is that they rescued me, I'd just woken and the first thing I saw was piping and metal wires tangled across the roof of the room I was in. I made a attempt to lean up but I just bumped my nose on the hard glass of a cryopod, so the way I see it is I'm either burning in the desert or freezing in a cryopod? Well it's not like it mattered, I was alive and ready to greet my heroes who are just as happy to see me by aiming a fully loaded Colt .42 at my face.
"Where in Equestria am I?!" I shouted in a rather perplexed tone
"In Equestria? Keep dreaming, We're a long LONG way away from Equestria right now." calmly said one of the Marines putting away the fully loaded pistol.
"We're a small scavenger unit sent to the Arcadian deserts to recover artifacts left by the precursors of these sands" explained the green commander of the base who was taking her sweet bloody time to unlock the cryopod. I was startled by the crackle of the commanders Radio
"Excuse me Miss, we just got a Radio transmission from scavenger team Delta reading "A large diamond sandstorm heading towards the base, raise shields"" stuttered a voice on a radio strapped to the commanders green hoof, "For f... CPL Greenleaf, report to the tech tower and tell them to get off there asses and raise the shields!" yelled the commander pointing her hoof to the Marine. Soon after she pulled my out of the cryopod we walked to the observation deck of the base where she pointed out all the parts of the base, In the technology department I saw some scientist trying to attach a new Model IV plasma lobber to the underail of a Assault Rifle,
"Give it here you berk" I said grabbing it from his hoofs and it looked like he had something to say before I handed it back to him with lots of bits of it taken off and it fully attached to the Assault Rifles underail, the commander looked impressed and so did the scientist. we stood looking into the glistening storm in the moonlight of the Arcadian desert, whilst being highly deadly it was strangely beautiful, it was a whole storm consisting of Diamond, sand and wind. I jolted as a crackling of the commanders Radio flickered, she giggled and quickly turned back to the window,
"Commander Sharphorn reading you loud and clear tech wing, go ahead" she said smiling into the moon with the light shining off her eyes,
"The shields! There not responding! The power is shot on the plasma generator!" Cried the engineer over the Radio, "Dammit! I gotta get down there! Stay here OK?" Said the Commander as she ran out the room. Seeing as how I've got nothing to lose I ran down there to see what was wrong, on my way I saw Marines running into the barracks with one of them almost knocking my glasses off and a quick moral boosting comment of "WATCH IT FOUR-EYES!". After bursting into the Engineering I saw the scientist on the ground with the commander knocked out, walking in with a rather uneasy expression the door slammed behind me with a sound of a crank turning.
"Who's there?!" I muttered to myself whilst turning around to meet the creepy culprate, although it was kind of pointless seeing as how it was pitch black, I used my hoof to feel the objects around me and felt something screen like with a button on the side of it, I pushed the button but there was no result,
"Well great" I whispered to myself with anger. I pulled out the cable connected to the screen with the wire responding with a flicker, The wire flickered every few seconds, around the fifth flash I saw a shadow of a pony standing directly in front of me but the second flicker revealed nopody there. I was now shaking with fear as my head flooded with ideas of what this creature could possibly be, as I stumbled round the corner I turned around to notice a glowing blue plasma battery,
"Ah, Looks like my lucks turning around" I said ironically, but no for it would seem this plasma battery has mastered the art of floating,
"What the f-" I stuttered and dived as the battery started hurling towards me, with a lucky dodge it would seem this battery had no intention of sticking around as it climbed up a ladder and made is departure through a emergency hatch, I sprinted and climbed up the ladder and saw the glow of the plasma battery but my attention was quickly drawn off by the sound of glass shattering and wind blowing, my head snapped to the left and there it was, It was literally 60 yards away and I had so little time to activate the plasma shields so with no further delay I sprinted off to attempt to recover that battery. As I was sprinted across the roof tops of the base I heard a voice on the base megaphone
"Storm primed to hit in T-20 seconds" and this gave me a instant burst of speed in my hooves, with the wind in my mane and the target in my sights I lept forward and knocked down the shadow that was making off with the plasma battery. All of a sudden I couldn't breathe, It felt like somepony was choking me and I was right, I tried to push the shadow off me but the shadow continued to grasp at my throte, eventually I kicked him off so hard he flew off into the sky and I quickly dived onto the plasma battery placed the flickery wire into the plasma battery which produced a huge energy field around the base that catches the shadow, as the storm hit the energy field I fell down on the metal roof and right after that I heard the shadow scream as the flesh was torn from his very bones.
"Ew" I said in slight disgust.
10:39 AM, Thursday, 2009, Arcadian Science Labs
"Good Morning sir!" Greeted Neon Ponyleaf as I entered the Lab
"Ready for today's experiment?" He asked as he gave me my lab coat,
"Of course! Are the test subjects ready?" I responded looking into
the observation window whilst I got ready to start testing.
"Core charged, Moonlight based life form experiment ready to begin
on your mark sir" said Neon Ponyleaf,
"Then let us begin" I responded.
21:54 PM, Monday, 2012, Arcadian Desert outpost.
I got up and staggered a bit rubbing my throte but as soon as I looked down into the central square of the base I could see eyes twinkling in awe, In confusion I looked upwards and was amazed to an extent I could not have thought possible. Diamonds, Flickering in the storm with the glow of the plasma shield I'd just raised, It looked like thousands of shooting stars rocketing across the sky but the tension was broken by a Marine yelling
"HE DID IT!" at the top of his voice but was quickly drowned out by the sound of the entire platoon cheering in joy. My attention was drawn off when the commander climbed out the tech wing via emergency hatch,
"You! You did it!" she joyfully sang as she sprinted towards me to wrap her arms around me and proceed to kiss me on the cheek,
"Thank you!" she whispered in my ear and quickly turned to the platoon to wave, I was frozen in...well I wasn't sure, It was something I hadn't felt in years but what I did know is that my cheeks were coloring and I was letting out a small smile,
"I-I feel..." I stuttered looking at the commander
"You feel...Happy?" the commander asked as she gave a sweet smile but I was still just standing there like a statue.
"*Yawn* Ow...My back feels like theirs a rod jammed up my-" I WOULD'VE said if I wasn't cut off by Commander Sharphorn "Morning Sweet heart!" she exclaimed lustfully, I looked around but only to notice all the soldiers had gone out the base to collect the Diamonds left over from the storm,
"Oh don't worry it's just you..." she paused and moved closer to my ear
"And me!" she whispered with what a pony from Canterlot would call "A naughty smile" I looked over her shoulder and saw she had me pinned by the arms and was slowly sliding her cheek down my neck, by this point I was sweating and blushing like hell but just as I had a thought of what she might be doing she jolted her arm backwards and a metallic crank responded.
"OW! What the hell?!" I exclaimed with great pain, The commander lept off and giggled whilst I immediately leaned up to look at what she'd done. There was a steel ring on my neck with a blue orb on the front but the ring gave of a steel wire that went down my back and IN my back, Yes I'm dead serious...IN my back but then it continued again out my chest and wrapped around my shoulders.
"GAH! Why is that in my spine?! HOW is that in my spine?!" I cried in terror,
"It's okay! Calm down! It's a plasma shielding system built into your spine and your ribcage, the blue button on your neck is used to activate it! Try it out" Commander Sharphorn said trying to relax me whilst moving my hoof on to the blue button on the front of the ring, I pressed it with caution and a field of baby blue plasma built around me and it looked just like the one that had protected the base last night. Breakfast was rather odd like with soldiers patting me on the shielding system and questioned me about who I was or where I was from etc. but then a soldier brought up something that caught my attention,
"Did you guys hear about the Arcadian king and Princess Celestia meeting up for a peace talk?" said the grey pony with desert Cameo with his silvery dog tags,
"A peace talk?" I responded because Equestria and Arcadia have never had any quarries before so what could King Arcadia have to do with this? "Yeah! There's been a breakdown of security, Somepony got some info that King Arcadia sent the Shadows to go kill somepony called uh...I think his name was Dark Aurora? You know anypony by that name?" said the Marine but just as he'd finished that sentence it felt like time had stopped,
"You alright buddy? You don't look so good..." asked the Marine. All I could do was get up and try to leave the base but...It didn't go as well as I planned,
"Where are you going?" Ask Commander Sharphorn at the opposite side of the corridor but I just stopped for a second before trying to sprint past her,
"*HURK*" I squealed as she grabbed me by the throte to stop me from running past her and slammed me to the ground.
"Where are you going?!" She ask looking down at me with a angry but confused expression, I lept up to make another attempt of escape but once again she grabbed me by the tail, swung me back and pinned me by the chest holding a knife up to my throte, now she looked really angry.
"Who are you? What's your name?!" she asked with a rather furious tone
"And don't try anything! Your shields are on lock-down! They wont activate until I say so" she added as I reached for the button on my neck. By this point I had no choice but to answer her,
"My name...I'm..." I hesitated as she got a hint of realization,
"You're...Dark Aurora?" she said as she lowered the knife, I nodded with a look of shame and tears started to well in my eyes.
"Hey...It's OK...It's OK..." she said as she raised my head by the chin to show me a comforting smile,
"*Sniff* No it's not..." I said with a tear rolling down my face,
"Don't cry...It'll all be OK" She added stroking my mane, for a military commander she sure is nice and comforting.
"But...You know you need to stop this" She said in a serious but calm tone,
"I know...I need to get back to Equestria and fix this" I responded raising my head. Later on she agreed to take me back on a Pegusis drawn carriage,
"So, You ready to go?" She asked me in the back of the Carriage,
"Huh? Oh! Yeah, I'm good..." I said nervously because...Hey I'm going into a counrty I've been exiled from and going to face my worst nightmare completely out numbered, out gunned and out of my mind. About 20 minutes in I could feel something in the air, It wasn't natural...Shadows in the air...
"Oh no...Bring the carriage down!" I shouted as I realized what was wrong, there were Dark Pterodactyls in the air also know as Terrordactyls.
"What's wro-" Commander Sharphorn asked as she was cut off by a horrifying screeching sound,
"What...on Earth...Is that?!" Commander Sharphorn asked as the Terrordactyls closed in.
"WATCH OUT!" I shouted as I could smell the horrid stench of the beast, *SMASH*! The Terrordactyls smashed into the Carriage and we rocketed towards the ground.
"Ow...Uhg...My head..." I groaned as I pushed the wreckage of the carriage off my body,
"Oh great, my glasses are gone!" I exclaimed looking around, my eyes are by no means blind as a bat, but I need glasses to see distant objects but either way they wouldn't help me now, It was muddy, wet and full of trees.
"Sharphorn? Shaaaaarphorn?" I yelled looking around for her, but then I noticed a green hoof under some reckage,
"Sharphorn!" I exclaimed running towards the her.
"HRRNNNNNGGG...GAH!" I gasped as I lifted the rubble off her body,
"Sharphorn? Commander Sharphorn, are you OK? Can you hear me?" I said crouching down to help her, She wasn't breathing, I needed to help her some how.
"Oh no" I said to myself as I realized what I needed to do, I sat down, closed my eyes and locked lips with her in a attempt to make her breathe, In my mind all I was saying way "Please breathe, Please breathe but don't wake up!" but after about 20 seconds of giving her the kiss of life I opened my eyes and saw hers looking at me lustfully,
"MAAARF!" I yelled in surprise but was still locked lips with her,
she giggled and let me go,
"GAH! I-UH...I was just-" I stammered whilst blushing like hell,
"Oh calm down!" She said whilst she picked herself up from the ground. Commander Sharphorn looked around at the Marsh and noticed that all the supplies from the carridge had been stolen.
"What were those things?" She asked me as we walked along the muddy road,
"Terrordactyls, They were probably sent by King Arcadia to stop Pegusis drawn carriages from getting out of his Desert" I responded with a slightly irritated tone but I had a perfectly good reason to be, I was told when I was...Just...Never mind. We had reached some kind of set up in these Marshes, My first though was "YES!" quickly followed by my second thought of "DAMMIT!" seeing as how this was a set up of Rogues and Vagabonds.
"Pirates!" Commander Sharphorn whispered as she took out her knife,
"Hey now, Let's try something a little less likely to get us killed hmmm?" I said lowering her weapon,
"Just follow my lead!" I calmly said as we walked down into the small set up.
"HAVE AT YE!" Yelled a Pirate holding his cutlass to my nose,
"All ye land lubbers better hand over all ye gold before I cuts you a new jaw!" Bellowed the Pirate,
"Uh...Actually we're tourists" I responded with a nervous tone as Sharphorn face hoofed in response.
"Oh...Well if ya need any directions just remember to ask ol' Bumfluff!" responded the Pirate,
"Bumfluff?" Asked Sharphorn trying to hide a wide grin,
"Yep! Ol' Captain Bumfluff's me name!" wise words from a drunk old Pirate that would probably forget his own mane if it wasn't attached to his head. As soon as Ol' Bumfluff staggered off the cobblestone street and fell face first into a sign Me and Sharphorn made our way to the docks of Mystery Port,
"There he is! The killer!" Shouted one of the locals,
"How did we get into this" I asked Sharphorn whilst all the guards aimed there rifles at us.
"No criminal scum such as yourself gets past us!" exclaimed of the guards...Well he would've done if he didn't get cut off by a knife flying through the air and into his vocal chords. Everypony gasped and ran away as fast as lightning,
"Come on!" Sharphorn yelled and quickly grabbed my hoof and ran away.
"Sorry sir, All boats are prevented from leaving port since the murders" the skipper said in a tone that made him seem rather spooked,
"The murders?" I responded in a perplexed tone,
"Eeyup, Murders takin' place in the ol' tavern but everybody still goes there anyway because there a bunch of old stupids" he said ironically. It would seem that murders had been taking place in the tavern at night, seeing as how everypony was a cider chugging moron people went there regardless of the dangers, well this killer was stopping me from leaving port and the more time I spent faffing about in this old bog the more Equestria was getting destroyed by Shadows. It was about 22:42 PM, me and Sharphorn sat at one of the tables outside the Tavern to see if we could catch this Killer,
"Oh, by the way I got you these..." said Sharphorn as she handed me a pair of fresh new glasses straight from the packet,
"Wow, Thanks! There great." I said with a smile, She acted odd when we were alone or at least with hardly anypony around,
"Y'know...You don't really smile that much..." she said with a calm voice but she saw I wasn't really listening, I felt something I'd never felt before but I only felt it around her.
"Hey, are you OK? You're blushing" she said smiling but she knew what was going on, she had that expression on her face.
"I'm...I'm fine, I just feel weird" I responded with a odd feeling in my stomach, her eyes shined in the glow on the candle light and her mane flowed in the breeze,
"You look amazing" I said gazing into her eyes, Sharphorn blushed but that struck me as odd, I realized I said that aloud, I DIDN'T MEAN TO F*CKING SAY THAT ALOUD! Not like it mattered mind you because she immediately responded with "Aw thanks". For a few more minutes Sharphorn asked me constantly why I moved to Equestria, I didn't want to tell her just to nip any possibility in the bud of her thinking I'm the cause of Armageddon but then she started talking about her life back in Equestria,
"Did you have feelings for anybody?" Sharphorn asked me twirling her hair in her hooves,
"Nah, I was more into my experiments back in Arcadia..." I responded trying to relax. Some old drunk berk came over to us and started trying to get with Sharphorn,
"Huy babth!" the pirate said with his tongue hanging out,
"how bowth you wimp this ditch and get with a real stallion?" he said losing his balance, he fell onto her and she kicked him off
"Get away from me, freak!" she yelled but this made the drunk violent,
"OI!" he yelled as he lunged at her, she dodged his swing and took out her knife but he responded with a cutlass. The pirate swung and scratched her on the arm, I stood up and glassed him on the back of the head and knocked him out,
"Stupid bastard" I said to myself dropping the bottle and I trotted on over to assist Sharphorn,
"Are you OK?" I said holding her on the shoulders,
"Yeah, I'm..." she paused as we gazed into each others eyes, we were moving closer and blushing, she was blushing on her cheeks and moving closer to my face but I was doing the same,
"What am I doing?" I thought to myself but just as we were like...1 center meter away from each other we heard a scream,
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!", me and Sharphorn gasped and sprinted towards the origin of the scream. By the time we had got there the victim was already gone, there was just blood and a knife,
"Look! Up on the roof!" exclaimed Sharphorn pointing her hoof at the silhouette on the roof who was turning to run,
"Oh no you don't!" I yelled as I scaled the building. What is it with me and needing to run across rooftops to catch somepony? Oh well, this killer was in a hurry and in no mood to stick around so naturally I set all sails in her direction so I could punch her in her stupid bloody face, she was closing in on a huge gap and there was NO way she could make the jump but she wasn't stopping,
"Stop you idiot!" I yelled increasing my speed but that wasn't stopping her either, the killer lept off the building into the dark streets, my hoofs screeched against the roof as I tried to stop but luckily I did. Peering into the darkness I couldn't see anything, where was she? Nopony could survive a fall like that, but just as I turned away assuming she fell to her death I heard a swooshing noise, I quickly turned around to see a knife swinging towards my face,
"WOAH!" I exclaimed whilst dodging the knife, she proceeded to fly away,
"Great, She's a Pegusis!" I exclaimed, I managed to catch a glimpse of her Cutie Mark, It looked like I knife stabbing through a heart...Well it would make sense right?
2010, 21:21, Arcadian Science Labs
"Leave them on over night" I said to the computer as the Luna Panels charged in the Moonlight, The Moonlight based lifeforms needed to charge over night. But to this day I still can't figure out what went wrong.
2012, 23:03, Mystery Port
"Dammit!" I said aloud to myself, It seemed this culprate makes their escape via wings but unfortunately I lack the genetic signature to grow the bloody things but I wasn't about the let her get away with this because she's stopping me from getting to Equestria. After all the hullabaloo me and Sharphorn started talking about who this might be, but it's not easy when you catch just a glimpse of a tiny picture, but Sharphorn remembered Ol' Bumfluff and suggested we go see if he knows anypony with a heart with knife cutie mark.
"Sorry twins, Can't help you" stuttered Ol' Bumfluff, he smelled horrid, he'd drank 4 gallons of cider and I was surprised he hadn't drowned his liver, but the evidence was everywhere such as the fact he thought there was more than 1 Dark Aurora.
"But I do recall seeing a pony with a markie cute like that!" he stammered tumbling towards the ground. BONK! His jaw hit the ground with a hard thump,
"What?! When?" Yelled Sharphorn dashing back towards him,
"2.1 seconds ago! She's right there!" He said with a drunken smile and pointing his hoof at the cloaked pony behind us, we stared at her with her responding, she looked up and revealed her magenta eyes, for a brief moment she looked suprised but quickly calmed herself. I turned to Sharphorn but she was just sneering at the cloaked pony,
"Let's get her!" Whispered Sharphorn into my ear but I just held her back with my hoof,
"Don't worry, I got this" I said with a mischievous smile,
"Excuse me miss, me and my partner here have been searching the area for a insane killer. I don't suppose you've seen any suspicious ponies around here?" I said walking over to the cloaked mare,
"Oh yes! Thank goodness! A police officer! I found something rather odd down this street! Please follow me!" said the cloaked pony with a rather terrified voice. She pulled me around the corner into a dark alleyway,
"Hey...I don't see any-" I said cut off, the greenish black fog was clouding the alleyway,
"*COUGH* Uhg, HEY! ANYPONY THERE?!" I yelled looking around in the green fog, I was trying to turn back but the gate at the start of the ally had cranked shut. I heard a clopping noise on the cobblestone floor, it was getting louder and suddenly it stopped but it there was still a noise that sounded like wings flapping. There was a small area where the fog was clearing but I didn't dare go near it, that must've been the area where the pegusis was flapping her wings. Suddenly I heard a stallion yell
"YAAAAAARG!" out of the fog and knocked me down to the ground, he lunged at my face with a knife and I stopped his arm with my hoof, his arm two arms where stronger than my hoof though and was moving his knife closer to my throte, as his knife was just inches away from my throte I lunged with my free hoof and punched him in the face, he let out a yelp and rolled off me and with the chance I lept up off the ground. Light was peering through the green fog and before he got up and ran off I saw his mane was Black with a blue streak. I chased him out of the alleyway but like the Mare he was a pegusis and flew off,
"Dammit!" I yelled slamming my hoof to the ground, I got into my head that this was an assassination attempt on me but at least we know there's more than one killer. Sharphorn ran round the corner tending to me to make sure I wasn't hurt, a little over protective for a military commander but what ever we soon made our way back to the market to try Sharphorns way with the cloaked pony.
"HEY THERE TWINS!, I saw her! I saw the pony your looking for!" bellowed Captian Bumfluff in the town center drawing attention to himself,
"What? Where?" Responded Sharphorn jumping towards him,
"Right over there!" He said once again pointing behind us, the cloaked pony looked up and said
"Uh oh!" and ran off, we chased her all through the town and down alleyways suddenly she threw a knife behind her but with a sidestep I had made a lucky dodge but she continued to sprint away. Me and Sharphorn were drawing in on her but she suddenly unfurled her wings and was preparing to fly away,
"Oh no you don't!" Shouted Sharphorn with a angry expression and quickly whipped her gun out,
"Wait! Don't!" I yelled but she didn't listen and proceeded to fire, *BANG* went her gun with the bullet skimming her Cutie Mark and going straight into her wing.
"GAAAH!" she screamed in agony and propelled towards the ground,
"Don't let her get away!" I yelled pointing my hoof at her whilst panting but Commander Sharphorn sprinted ahead to make a dive, Sharphorn grabbed the killers flank and scraped off her Cutie Mark but slipped and the culprate made off into the dark of the ally,
"DAMMIT!" I yelled running over to her,
"what?" I whispered to myself looking at Sharphorns hoof,
"A fake Cutie mark?" she said to herself looking at the plastic skin, Sharphorn picked herself up and we retreated to the tavern.
19:45 PM and we continued to talk about this mystery inside the tavern but I knew the killer was here but for some reason I recognized her voice...It reminded me of...but no...It couldn't be her...I know her and she isn't a killer but either way we were about to find out who it was but we saw the Cutie mark on the other side of her flank and she was covering the side that had got the Cutie Mark scraped off but she was also looking over at us breifly then flickering back to her accompaniment,
"Do you know her?" Sharphorn said looking at me,
"Her? I don't know..." I responded turning back to Sharphorn reaching for my drink, I took a gulp of the Cider and quickly placed it back on the table,
"*Cough* Ew, god that's horrible" I said rubbing my throte but this taste wasn't Cider...It was Cyanide,
"Uh OH!" I yelled grabbing my stomach with the killer dashing out the tavern,
"Get HERK!" I said cringing and falling to the ground,
"What?!" Yelled Sharphorn jumping to my aid,
"CYANIDE! GAAH!" I yelled in agony holding my stomach,
"Cyanide?! OH! Quickly take this!" she yelled tossing a pill into my mouth but my throte was contracting,
"Erm...Erm!" Said Sharphorn looking around with a crowd circling around us,
"Well here goes nothing!" Sharphorn said locking lips with me,
"MMRPH?!SHPHRN?" I muffled into her mouth but then I started to relax and was blushing with my throte relaxing and the pill dropping into my stomach I opened my eyes and said
"Mmmm...Shphrn?" I muffled once again,
"Shphrn?" I muffled but she got a little carried away, her eyes where closed and she was smiling and blushing,
"Shphrn?" I once again said but Sharphorn was just giggling with her eyes closed and was braiding my mane,
"SHPHRN!" I yelled into her mouth,
"oooh!" she muffled opening her eyes,
"Teehee, sorry, got a bit carried away" she said winking at me,
"Let's go then!" she said gleefully skipping out of the tavern, my expression was gaumless but my attention was drawn to a local who encouragingly shouted,
"NICE ONE MATE! SHE'S BANGABLE!" said a red stallion with a blue and black mane. I dashed out of the tavern and the killer was talking with another cloaked pony,
"What?!" she yelled with a perplexed look on her face but quickly turned to run,
"Alright! Enough running!" Sharphorn yelled shooting her gun at the killers hooves crippling the killers legs,
"Let's get down to the bottom of this" I said walking over to the killer who was trying to limp away, I pushed her into the wall and held her by the throte,
"Right then mystery...Solved!" I said pulling off the killers cloak,
"Wha...WHAT?!" I said in shock at who this was. To my suprise a Rainbow mane with a baby blue coat greeted me and a Cloud Cutie mark with a Rainbow lightning bolt,
"R-r-r-r-Rainbow Dash?!" I said in shock,
"Who the hells Rainbow Dash?" Said Sharphorn leaning against the wall,
"WHAAT?! I'm only the greatest flyer in ALL Equestria! Oh uh...Hehe...Well this is awkward..." said Rainbow Dash with a nervous chuckle,
"Dark Aurora, It's been too long!" Rainbow Dash said with a worried expression against my pissed off expression,
"Why...The...Hell...Are you killing people?!" I said pausing to think,
"Hmmmm...Sorry, Classified! Maybe you'll find out one day...Upon your death..." Rainbow Dash said with a evil smile,
"*Growl* Grrrr...Fine...Leave Mystery port and never come back" I said with an angry tone,
"But I-"
"Never..." I said cutting her off by holding a switchblade to her throte,
"Alright fine, Oh and here...take this" she said tossing me a capsule of liquid but I looked like pure light,
"What is this?" I responded looking into the capsule,
"It'll come in handy...Trust me" She said running off into the night,
"A capsule of light Eco?" Sharphorn said looking at the liquid filled capsule,
"Light what?" I responded with a perplexed tone,
"Light Eco! We came across Blue, red and green Eco in the desert"
she said smiling and told me to keep it. The next morning we made our way to the docks and Sharphorn was leaning on my shoulder, "Well, Looks like you Twins solved this Mystery! Ya did all right!" said Captian Bumfluff with a smile,
"I guess our ships can leave port now!" said Captian Bumfluff!
"Wait...Can you get us to Equestria?" asked Sharphorn with a lively look on her face,
"Sure can!" responded Captian Bumfluff,
"YES! Looks like this trip might not be so difficult after all!" I said looking at Sharphorn,
"Well Okay dokey then! ALL ABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARD!" yelled Captian Bumfluff. We set sail for the Equestrian Continent, me and Sharphorn stood below decks talking about what happened the previous night, I told her I couldn't wrap my head around how Rainbow Dash was a murderer and why she was doing it but it's not like it mattered now, we'd set sail and that's what mattered, suddenly I could feel the ship wobbled around,
"Whoa, did you feel that?" I asked Sharphorn,
"Hmmm? Probably just the waves..." she responded but she was right, the shaking had stopped now and I'd found my see hooves. Above decks was slightly less crowded and more open to the sky, the suns rays shining down on my dark coat with the twinkle of the blue waves and the salty sea air in my nostrils,
"*HURK* BLURAAG!" wretched one of the Ponies over starboard side,
"Well...That killed the mood" I said in a sarcastic manner
"Let's go help him shall we?" I responded to Sharphorn,
"Yep, Poor sods probably not for off throwing up his whole lung" Sharphorn responded with us proceeding on to help the vomiting pony,
"Hey mate? You all right? Don't worry took me a while to get used to it too, first times are tough eh?" I said with a charisma tone,
"First time? I say! I've been at sea 30 times at least!" said the pony who was remarkably posh,
"Ok Aurora I got the bucket so...Pffft! Who's the nerd?" Commander Sharphorn said giggling to herself,
"I'll beg your pardon madam! I am a highly respected archeologist! I'm no 'Nerd' I say!" exclaimed the nerd, I mean uh...Archeologist, *Smirk*. The ship was pretty rickety today but I was quickly about to find out why,
"SEA DRAGONS AHOY!" yelled the navigator in the crows nest, as two dragon heads on spirally necks breached the water sending a huge splash down onto the ships upper deck,
"WELL SON OF A BI-" I exclaimed as the Sea dragon pelted the ship with water causing a huge hole to form.
