//-------------------------------------------------------// The Birth of a New Race. -by Psicosis- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Overthrown, But Not Forgotten //-------------------------------------------------------// Overthrown, But Not Forgotten “Discord stop this, you’ve gone mad!” A white alicorn shouted at a creature sitting on a throne. He fell into a laughing fit, holding his stomach as his laughter echoed throughout the chamber. “Mad, Celestia? You seem to forget who you and your little sister are dealing with. I’m the spirit of chaos! Chaos is the only thing for me, order is not meant for me! You and your petty elements can do nothing to stop me...’ Discord’s voice rang through the room. Celestia looked to her right to see her little sister whimpering in fear. Three stones levitating just above her and another three above Celestia. ‘Luna! Stand tall, we must defeat him for all of Equestria.’ Celestia said firm, staring into her sister’s eyes. “You’re... You’re right big sister.” Luna said while wiping the small tears away in her eyes. Her legs no longer shaking, she leaned forward, getting ready to fight. Discord sighed and raised his claw, a yellow aura started to circle it and suddenly Luna was lifted from the ground. She flew across the room and stopped right in front of Discord’s face. Her elements laying on the floor where she once stood and an invisible force squeezing her throat. Celestia couldn’t do anything, it was too late when she realized what had happened. “Let her go you filthy beast!” Celestia roared at Discord and his smile grew wider. “Silence! I want to watch her cry...,” The Draconequus said, his eyes now glowing red with malice. “Cry for me my darling.” The dark alicorn hovered in the air, her neck starting to bruise from the pressure being applied yet no tears appeared from her eyes. His smile faded and anger took its place. He began to squeeze tighter, stopping her from breathing completely. Luna’s limbs began to move around in all directions as she tried to get free. “Let her go! Discord you’re killing her! I said let her go!” Celestia shouted, her voice booming throughout the chamber. Her wings expanded and she charged towards Discord, he spotted her in the corner of his eye and threw Luna against the wall. Knocking the dark alicorn out as she slid down the wall and landing in the broken bits of rubble that left the wall. Celestia took to the sky and began firing beams of concentrated energy from her horn at Discord, as the beams made their way closer to him he waved his lion arm in a circle motion and created a shield which glowed the color red in front of him. The beams connected with the shield and reflected off it, hitting the roof above them and making a few large holes in the structure. As the rubble fell to the floor Discord began his cruel laugh that seemed to pierce Celestia’s mind. “Oh, silly Celestia... Can’t you see you’ve lost? I stand upon your old throne! All your little ponies run in fear, even the other alicorns! What happened to being the bravest race in Equestria? Well no matter... They’ll all soon be my little slaves. Soon as I wipe you from existence!” Discord said while charging a beam from his claw. Celestia began to charge another from her horn too. They both unleashed their attacks at the same time and the beams met and interlocked. Both pushing with all their might, but the beams never seemed to move, both stuck in the centre of the room. Sweat now starting to appear on her face, the three elements still hovering above her began to glow. ‘Luna... Please get up, I need you!’ Celestia thought, her face now crunching with concentration. Luna lay there, still knocked out from the torture Discord had put her through. Eventually Celestia managed to throw the beams to the right of the room, hitting the wall and nearly shattering it completely. She was now breathing heavily and now had to land. “The great Celestia is nearly all out of fight... I honestly thought this would have been a better fight, but alas... I guess it’s time to end this!” Discord shouted, throwing another beam towards the Princess. The beam was a few feet away from Celestia and she had no time to react. Celestia’s facial expression fell and her eyes widened as the beam came closer. A dark blur flew across the room and stopped in front of the white alicorn and a purple aura appeared around the her and the figure in front of her. The beam connected with the aura and disintegrated into thin air. “No! You can harm me all you want... But you shall not harm my sister, do I make myself clear Discord!?” The dark alicorn shouted, her eyes glowing a dark purple and a mist escaping from them. Discord’s face fell to a blank expression until he started to chuckle a little. “Really? So you finally stand up without your sister guiding you... That’s all you are to her. A burden. Can’t you see it? She has taught you everything, not out of love, but because it’s her duty! Look at her, she’s nearly dead and it’s all because she was trying to protect you! You’re nothing, but wasted potential...” He whispered the last words with pleasure in his tone. Luna looked behind her and into her sister’s eyes. She smiled a radiating smile filled with love and admiration; Celestia stood there stunned and couldn’t say anything. “Tia... I love you, don’t worry. Let your little sister deal with this creature. Thank you... For loving me,” Luna said, smiling as she turned to face Discord once more. “You might want to step back a little bit.” Celestia moved back a little, feeling a little unsure of what was going to happen. She had never seen her little sister act this way. Her cute little sister who used to just play all day long. Luna started to shake, the little stones around her began to lift into the air and a huge dark aura appeared around her. The aura engulfed her and shot up towards the roof with her screaming in the centre of it all. Celestia wasn’t sure what to do, she wasn’t sure what was happening to her loved one. The three left over elements that lay on the ground flew towards Luna and entered the aura; soon enough the screaming stopped and the aura slowly decreased until it was just a faint mist around the dark alicorn with her eyes still glowing dark. She dragged her right hoof across the ground and glared at the creature sitting on the throne. “Get ready Discord.” She said tauntingly. He stared at her with a confused look on his face. She took one step forward and Discord started firing multiple beams at her direction in rapid succession. Luna spread her wings and started flying at great speed around the room, evading each of the shots and firing her own purple colored shots back at the creature which he deflected with his other free hand. This continued for what seemed like a long time while Celestia stood there shocked at the entire scene, but she quickly noticed that Discord had appeared to have forgotten her. She silently moved out of complete view and behind Discord. Her sister noticed this and increased the speed of fire on the spirit of chaos. He was finding it harder to deflect the shots and got off the throne to start dodging them; he also increased his speed and beams started flying across the chamber so fast they became a blur. Celestia quickly harnessed the power of her three elements and started to prepare for an attack. Luna’s elements began to glow brighter and she stopped firing her beams, but still kept up the evasive as Discord did not let his fire down for a second. “Now! Luna fire now!” Celestia shouted at her younger sister. The two of them unleashed their attacks, a rainbow colored beam came out from each of their horns and went straight for the evil creature. He had no time to get out of the way and the beam connected with him. He began to turn to stone, but before he was transformed completely a small click could be heard and a barely audible boom shook the land. He was then froze in stone with nothing, but a small smile on his face. The two alicorns were breathing very heavily, but relief washed over them. Luna landed near her sister, her eyes and aura now completely fading. They both fell to the floor, exhausted from the fight; they each let out a small giggle and smiled to each other. “We did sister... We finally did it. His mad rule has come to an end.” Luna whispered happily. “Yes... and it couldn’t of been done without you, I’m so proud of you Luna. Celestia whispered back with admiration in her voice. They laid there for what seemed like eternity, each of them not wanting to move, but they had too. “Come little sister, we must tell all of Equestria of the glorious news. They no longer have to live in fear.” The white alicorn said while standing back up. “But what of the elements?” Luna said. “Leave them, we no longer need them for now. We’ll retrieve them later.” “Okay sister. Then let us go and tell all of Equestria the events of this day.” The two of them started trotting towards the chamber’s main entrance. “Also Luna... You’re going to have tell me what happened back there. Where did you find such amazing strength?” Celestia asked. Luna blushed a little and lowered her head. “It’s a little embarrassing, but... Oh, I’ll tell you later, now is it now the time. For now we have more work to do.” Luna said firmly. Celestia simply nodded, pushed open the door and stepped out to the balcony to see a wide view of Equestria. They looked out over what was now their kingdom to see something they never expected to see. A swarm of bug like creature were flying all over the sky, they had paper thin wings, a horn and holes in their body. They both continued to stare at them with great confusion in their eyes. “Sister what are these umm creatures?,” Luna asked. “And where are the other citizens?” ‘Oh no...’ Celestia thought as a small tear formed in her eye. Celestia ignored her little sister and started flying to the entrance of Canterlot castle. She ran inside hoping to see the others, but nopony was there. She ran all around the castle, hoping to see other anypony, but as predicted nopony was to be found. Except these new creatures that swarmed the land. Celestia came to a stand still, her mind flowing with a thousand thoughts. ‘Wings and a horn... Where are the other alicorns? It can’t be true...’  Celestia now started to panic and her emotions now showing on her face. She heard a shrill cry come from the room beside her. She walked inside and a found a huge bug like creature within it, laying there, gasping for air and what seemed like a small foal on the floor. Celestia moved closer to the foal. It was pure pink with a horn and wings. ‘An alicorn... Then why is this creature with her? Where is her mother and father?...’Celestia gasped in horror as the full picture became clear to her.
